    Here's some tips, 1st get that Modelo on ice quick, lol. 2nd buy some dry ice for your anchovies, it keeps them frozen all day or night. Also night fishing is great for striper, they love to come into the shallow. If you can castnet for shad they work great also. Tight lines.

    that's a great video for beginners. well done. may i add, On my business trips to Las Vegas, I have always rented a car and gone fishing at Mead at least 1 day, if not 2 or 3, and i've always fished from the bank. i've caught quite a few both smallmouth and largemouth on plastic worms and spinners. it's a great fishery. tight lines!

      If I'm being completely honest I'm not sure. It depends on what your fishing for but for striper I think very early morning is still the best time to fish. Personally I've struggled to catch fish in the winter but when I did it was very early in the morning.

    Dude! Thanks for the video!! I’m kind of starting off. I’ve fished a little bit but.... not enough and with no guidance so I’m looking around, trying to learn, found you on a Las Vegas fishing FB group. Hey I probably missed it but when is the best time to go fishing out there? I have only ever had any luck fishing at like 4am out there and I’m kind of afraid to go out there alone at 4am so... I went to lorenzi park today and had a good time fishing but I didn’t catch anything. Not sure if I’m hooking up my line right and I kept having this issue where the line was getting weirdly tangled. I also have that 13 dollar fishing rod from Walmart. Was curious if you had a simple explanation for why my line kept getting tangled in the reel and if you could maybe show a close up video of how you attach the weights and stuff. Basically how you set your pole up to fish. I guess. Don’t know the technical terms. Anyway you don’t have to spend a bunch of time answering me here if you are busy, I get it, but I’ll be on the lookout for another video. I wish you all the luck in the world! Thanks a ton!

    • @SeaBassOutdoors7
      @SeaBassOutdoors7  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm really glad this video helped you and let me start answering some of your questions. So I'm fairly new as well like I said in the video but I have been doing it for a year. I've noticed between the times of 3:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. is typically when I catch fish.

    • @SeaBassOutdoors7
      @SeaBassOutdoors7  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also when I first started I had the same exact problem with the line. So something to keep in mind is there is braided line, fluorocarbon and monofilament. Monofilament is the cheap stuff that comes with rods and is stretchy. Monofilament also has a lot of memory so when you open your spool on your spinning rod a bunch of the line will coming off. There are ways to get around this like taking the line and sticking it in hot water when it's on your spool. So the monofilament will have new memory when it cools off to the diameter of you spool. But I didn't want to deal with this and I was lazy so I switched to braided line which is much better. Braided line isn't stretchy at all and it has absolutely no memory but the only problem with it is sometimes the fish can see it. So now I use fluorocarbon which looks like monofilament but it's completely different. It has some memory but not nearly as much as monofilament and it's clear so the fish have a harder time seeing it.

    • @SeaBassOutdoors7
      @SeaBassOutdoors7  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      And I've definitely going to make more videos for people in the Vegas area. The next guide video I created will be something of that fashion!

    • @takeadeepbreathin
      @takeadeepbreathin 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SeaBassOutdoors7 sweet! Perfect! Thanks for getting back to me so soon!! Okay yea I saw some spray at the store that is supposed to help with the memory thing but I wasn’t sure what that was about but now that you say that it makes sense. Thanks for the info! I’ll totally look into it! I appreciate the info a ton! My favorite place to fish and where I’ve caught the most fish is duck creek but it’s a little to far away for me to go often and I’ve been itching to do something so I’m going to start going to the parks around town more. Just to do something. Lake mead I haven’t been fishing at in a while because it’s kind of expensive to get in to but I will go eventually again so I really appreciate all the info and I’ll be on the lookout for a new video! :-) have a great one! Good luck!

      @SeaBassOutdoors7  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@takeadeepbreathin no problem anytime man. I'm very thankful I was able to help. Something you might find useful about lake Mead being expensive to get in is you can get in at night for free.
