Happy Thanksgiving Tim, I think that you are correct that the ST rides a bit stiff and is set up more for performance handling. A buddy at work has one and I thought the same thing but then I had a Limited package as a rental on vacation and it rode fantastic. Overall…I really enjoyed the Explorer and thought to myself that I wouldn’t mind owning one. Thanks for the awesome content as always.
The ST has Tuned suspension and not really for off-road driving, hence the light offroad category in the drive mode. so yeah it will be a bit tighter and bumpier than some of the lower models. if you want a little cushier ride with the same engine then people should get the platinum version.
I have a 2025 ST and I’d recommend it if you want a sporty driving three row SUV with modern tech. I also have BlueCruise in mine which is a game changer for me because I put 20K+ miles on my vehicles per year.
yep, I was riding behind a newer escalade yesterday and thinking to myself "is that slightly larger suv in front of me worth really DOUBLE the money as a ST EXPLORER costs ?" 100K vs 50K
They are adaptive cornering markers, so when turning left the left fog lights up so you can see in front of you. I thought the same thing when my wife came home and pulled in he driveway the 2nd day we had it.
@rockawhere9576 that's pretty neat I'm assuming they are good for like seeing better at night as opposed to just your standard fog lights do you see it better with the ones on the Explorer or you have no preference just curious thanks for the info
@@texandy89 it is just the fog lights, if you don't have the fog lights turned on it will only illuminate the side in the direction you are turning. It's pretty nice to have but I tend to just leave my fog lights on all the time so it's not very helpful for me
@@rockawhere9576 thanks for that info to bad it is not helpful for you would be cool if the fog lights like when you have them on it turns the even if you have them off at night it lights up or the fog lights are maybe a little brighter then the headlight or as bright as the headlight because sometimes the fog lights are not as bright as the same brightness as the headlights. Would be cool if you have them off they will turn on automatically as well.
Actually its pretty quiet inside and some of the engine noise is actually pumped in so artificial. Not sure what you mean about powertrain being noisy its a lot quieter than some other cars.
Purchased one. Excellent quality. Factory sets tires at 46 - 47 psi. Lowered them to 33 psi immediate difference.
not a bad idea, I run around 37 and it's not too bad

Great prices now for the Active trim +/- $40K and still get lot of features.

Platinum*
@@rockawhere9576 lol oops yeah that’s what I meant. Thx. (Fixed it)
I think it's the suspension bushings that are stiff. Happy Thanksgiving Tim.
Have a nice Thanksgiving Tim!
Great video, just curious did you try out the massage seats? I believe they are standard on the 2025 ST models.
they are a pretty nice feature, my 22 has them
Any word on when the f150 will get the Android automotive software that is in that Explorer?
I haven’t heard.
My 2021 f150 has android auto. Did they change something recently?
I'm in the market for one. Would you recommend it?
Yes.

mind you I'm referring to the 3.0 TWIN TURBO. Although the ST line 4cyl is a good value nowadays in the mid to low 40s?
They should’ve added noise cancellation for the cabin. Too noisy on the road.
Hi Tim
Im sure they fixed ALL the electrical gremlins...... Xd
I have a 22 and the only issue I have had is the camera once n awhile goes blank. Got a update and no more a issue
Own one, it’s the tires. Replace tires and throw in about $1500 in more and that ST will run under 13 seconds in the quarter mile.
What tires do you recommend?
looks like you got fog lights also

Looked at a 2023. Not terribly impressed. Power train, like many, is too noisy, and too much road noise intrusion in the cabin.

Where is the blood from your hunting success. Or did you have a buddy with a pickup?
Biggest problem with it is that it's a Ford
Sorry to hear that you’ve had a bad experience with the brand. I’ve had multiple Ford vehicles with no serious issues.
