    I really like your tutorials and how you focus on the most important bits. They give me a great starting point with a lot of room for improvement if needed! With a rudimentary understanding it is so much easier to expand upon your code by following other tutorials which go more in-depth.

    I am trying to perform a fileupload that also have other data than just the file(s) - basically some details about what entities the file is to be attached to (a relationship used in an Entity Framework backend).
    But I fail to figure out how to do this
    Any have any suggestions on what to try?

    I followed your tutorial and it was honestly the best one I've found yet. I've been working on this for about 2/3 weeks trying every possible way for it to work and not one has actually stored the file somewhere until now. The only problem I have is that it is uploading the file, but the stored file name is showing as file not found, and wont allow to download - but it definitely exists. Do you have any tips? I am currently running this on my work laptop so I'm thinking its something to do with permissions.

      Thank you, Sarosh! To answer your question, you can add the attribute "webkitdirectory" to choose a folder at least ->

    I have an odd problem. The file upload works but I can only select a maximum of 8 files at a time. If I select 9 or more the files will not upload. Instead there is a message "Stored File Name: File not found.". The original file name is shown in the list that comes back.

    thanks Mr God, you are a God :) i get this error tho at the PostAsync line System.InvalidOperationException: An invalid request URI was provided. Either the request URI must be an absolute URI or BaseAddress must be set.

    • @TYNEPUNK
      @TYNEPUNK 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      i needed path Development\uploads and also the code for base address ie string baseUri = "localhost:5199/api/File"; http.BaseAddress = new Uri(baseUri);

    • @TYNEPUNK
      @TYNEPUNK 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      actually for some reason it only works for the first file. and i get System.InvalidOperationException: This instance has already started one or more requests. Properties can only be modified before sending the first request.

    • @TYNEPUNK
      @TYNEPUNK 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      neeeded only to set baseaddress if null..

    Hey Pat, i'm sending my MultipartFormDataContent data to my api. but the List is empty. how can that be?

  • @SIBUK
    @SIBUK ปีที่แล้ว

    I cannot get this to work. When the upload function in the controller gets called the file count is always 0.

    • @SIBUK
      @SIBUK ปีที่แล้ว

      I managed to figure out what this problem was. In the controller the name of the List parameter used inside the UploadFile function must have the same name as the 'name' parameter when we Add stuff to the MultipartFormDataContent in the razor file. In the case of this tutorial it was named "files" and so the controller parameter must also be named 'files'. I had renamed it to something else which was why it didn't work.
