The Sonata hybrid is a beautiful and elegant looking car. Both the exterior and interior look very nice. I’d give it an A for styling. If pressed I’d buy the Camry because of the proven record for reliability.

And proven low TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), longevity, resale value etc.
Camry is #1 because looks are nothing vs. reliability, low TCO etc.

The limited edition prices are Insane though, but at least the SEL version of the hybrid also gives you quite a bit of amenities.

I believe most of the glare on the cluster is likely from the protective film. Also, take it out on the freeway for a road noise test, it sounded very quiet.

On looks alone, the Sonata wins.

However, for smart drivers, the #1 reliability and the lowest TCO of Toyota Camry is a far better choice vs. whatever looks or electronic features Sonata has.

I had the Sonata hybrid in the past, it was an amazing car. The DCT paired with the hybrid was still a pretty smooth ride. With these updates, I would buy another sonata again.

I bought the sel hybrid. Love it. Didn’t think it was worth the extra money to get the extra features and I really didn’t want leather anyway. Have about 4500 miles on it. It’s pretty accurate with the mpg estimate within the cluster and with mostly highway driving I have almost 47 mpg through the 4500 miles. When I go around town I get 50-60mpg. No joke and I’m talking 30-40 miles not on the highway. Excellent value and 1000x better than the Prius I traded in to get it.

The screen glare is caused by the protective film over it. If you peeled it off, the glare would be gone.

The fact the Camry is sold before it hits the lots, and this is sitting on lots says all you need to know. Hyundai increased their prices too much and they aren't known for reliability. You can't price it exactly the same as the Camry.

Toyota fanboys. It's the same belief that Muslims have in their hearts. Take a statistical survey of how Hyundai has surpassed Nissan Honda in quantity and career path over the past decade. Find out which brand has won the most Car of the Year awards over the past decade. And recently, its operating profit in the first quarter of 2024 surpassed Toyota, and its operating profit exceeded that of Volkswagen. Toyota Motor does not have any EV technology, nor does it have a proper EV model. Ditching the prejudice and judging it shows that the Sonata Hybrid is better than the Camry Hybrid. You get a variety of satisfaction that you don't get from Camry as well as fuel efficiency. The Santa Fe Hybrid Sonata Hybrid has been operating well in several countries for over a decade without any problems

Camry is #1 in all relevant statistics.
Sonata cannot jump farther from Hyundai, which is not even in Top 10 Reliability nor Low TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), while Toyota is #2 (Lexus is #1 in reliability) and #1 in low TCO.
