4) purchase goods from mr.mukherjee for cash₹5000

6) Mr Sen returned goods valued₹1000
7) received cash from Mr Sen of ₹6500 in Full settlement
8) Bought goods from Mr Bose on credit for₹5000

So don't we need to enter this discount of 1000 in our Journal Entry ?

I think discount doesn't come under the consideration as long as sum doesn't have discount mentioned. It's just an articial sum. Suspension of disbelief comes into play.
