This video helped a lot! I was busy working in a management team while our professor taught this to us, so I couldn't even get the basics cleared which then caused me serious issues in departmental accountings and even consignment because I couldn't do the balance figure thing. This video saved me!

Mam what is mean by return inwards. It's come under trading a/c or profit and loss v/c or Balance sheet.
It's a sales returns. Sold long ago & purchaser is returning so we call it as return inwards.
It should be deducted from sales as sales are decreasing because of these returns.
You know sales will be on the credit side of trading account.

Wages are related to factory expenses. In profit and loss account we post only office related expenses.
