My 15.3 index has been driving me mad over the last few months. I’m consistently trying to hit the ball further and consequently hitting it wider and wilder. I had a dreadful 10 holes yesterday and would have liked to have walked off, but instead I decided the remaining 8 holes I would forget about distance and slow my swing down as much as I could. The result? 18 points from 8 holes.
With the greatest respect, I couldn’t believe how slow and relaxed your swing was, and I didn’t expect you to be a scratch player, but your explanation of realistic expected distances made a lot of sense to me. I can see how your mindset/strategy produces low numbers.
I will spend the next month slowing my swing as much as possible and adopt a more realistic approach to distance versus accuracy. Thanks for a great video and you have a new sub 😊

I enjoy these "play to your level" videos. It is so easy to think you suddenly have to try to play to another level after a shot that's not perfect. Result is usually more misery.
Definitely, get the ball back into play and start a fresh
