As a Kenyan I DEFINITELY DO NOT eat beans for breakfast. That’s what them folks do in England.
Maybe you should try it. Usizoe mandazi na mkate kila siku😂😂
I'm Kenyan and i absolutely love baked beans and eggs for breakfast. Have it all the time
Please educate yourself on Africa and it's foods, Somalians are Kenya neighbours and some were born Kenya they eat beans for breakfast.
Can beans or baked beans delicious 😂 sio hiyo yenye unachemsha the whole day😂
I'm a Kenyan. i eat beans for breakfast. Kenyan's lifestyles are changing. Beans are cheaper than sausages and samosas.
Tomato sauce isn't ketchup. They are two different products
Tomato is tomato and ketchup are western chemicals made in the lab.
Add vinegar to tomato sauce you get ketchup
@@alicemacharia8738 wrong. Still won't be ketchup because ketchup has real tomatoes which tomato sauce doesn't
Digestives have made a name for themselves over the years. They are the Nike of biscuits in Kenya lol.
Yap
‘The Nike of biscuits’ Haha 💯
lol what a way to look at it
Most places in the world, Baked Beans is a breakfast food. You see it mostly in places where the British ruled at one point. Blew my mind !!!
Exactly that was standard breakfast at my high school in Zimbabwe. Baked beans, broached eggs and bacon. We did not normally eat this at home so it was indeed a British legacy as my school was named after a former British leader.
@Jazz-fg2dm well, the Americas were populated from England. Those that "started" making baked beans (or pork and beans) were the American colonist, that just came over from England.....when America was colonized ( hence paying taxes back to England ) before the Boston Tea Party.
It’s soda in Philly too Cooper 😂😂 . Pop is a southern Midwest thing .
Columbus, Ohio born and raised. It’s Pop until I drop.
Jawn can be used interchangeable
Yep! I'm from Illinois and we call it pop.
They call it pop in NYC too
In Kenya people prefer open air market, groceries are in verieties and fresh. However, it depends with your location and how lazy you are to go for open air market, so you end up in Supermarkets. 😂
You have a good woman there. Props to miss Wangechi. She's real with you. That's valuable in this country. Good luck to you guys. You're good people. She got me with the black soap. 😂
💯
Prices have gone up due to the high taxes by govt 😢
Not really concerning prices have increased globally during the pandemic.
True prices are up in Kenya due to this government increasing taxes on everything like gas, food, transport etc
And they are increasing it again 😭
Really?
And they're coming for your cars
Who would have thought to make a video grocery shopping? That was brilliant 👍
✊🏾
Always give local brands a try ,the imported brands are always way too expensive because you have to pay for the food miles yet Kenyan local brands compare relatively well in terms of quality.
Facts.
Wangeci is so pretty ❤
Yoo Coop! We in the states appreciate your content of Black love in a black country, and encouraging us to come and experience it ourselves. Thank you Thank you for your content
Salute ✊🏾
Welcome home derek❤
When we move outside Kenya and start converting currency the way you are doing, we go crazy mad. But it's strange you already somehow figured out what's overpriced and what's not 😂
He got an app on his phone converting the prices
Currency Converter is ALWAYS handy. 👍🏾
My default phone calculator has currency converter and it keeps updating so long as you're connected to the internet
Store brand bread is freshly baked in the supermarket.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I’ll see how FRESH it is.
@@COOPSCORNER Cool. Make sure you go to the ones that have a bakery either Naivas, Quickmart or Carrefour......
Broadways is life!!!
@@COOPSCORNERbut naivas baked goods are better than quickmart
I hadn't visited Kenya in a long time ..I got a hair cut ..beard trimmed ..
head washed for 200 ksh .....1.56 usd
💯
You had better left a nice tip Iam paying $30 for only a hair cut and beard trim no wash massage or anything else in USA
Went up to 500ksh + head massage
I hope you tipped them right! Barber shop experience in Kenya is an adventure by itself.
that 200kshs feels like how you'd feel 15 usd in the USA
The lion and his lioness. Love the Kenyan accent imitations 😆😆 the cartoon humor and sound effects.
Me too!
💯
There's no tax added. It's already included in the price you see 😊
Great info. 👍🏾
Wangeci is a vibe..Jackson we need you to organise dowry ceremony I will EMCEE
That takes a VILLAGE #COOPSCORNER ✊🏾
I love the humor you bring.the lough is contagious! Again if the brand names of those products don't give you a job they a mean. You really seemed like real advertisers.
Salute. ✊🏾
Cooper found his soul mate
U look perfect together my man
🦁
I'm from Texas and we call it SODA aswell lol!! Not pop. Much love. Keep doing your thing.
I was so impressed with how much fresh groceries I bought with just 20$ today at an open air market🎉🎉 i felt like i was stealing from the vendors when i took home a huge basket full of fruits, vegetables and grains😊😊..I kept asking myself...what can 20 bucks get me from Walmart?????😢
Digestive, lemon and ginger biscuits, peanut butter cookies excellent. Not a fan of oriole cookies or soda. You both look awesome together. I miss pork sausages #Kenchic and blueband - only in Kenya 🇰🇪! Brown eggs are the best. Cooper your African accent is on point 😂❤! I like how you are both goofy 🤪. Enjoyed the tour -thank you!
Peanut butter cookies? Sounds great.
@@COOPSCORNER 😅🤣😂
Tomato sauce and ketchup are different things. Magunas and Mathaais supermarkets are much cheaper.
Ketchup has vinegar in it, Tomato sauce doesn't. That's the difference. It's all about your taste. I'm a ketchup guy and to be specific Heinz!!
@@Mlachake
Have you tried Heinz lately? I suspect it tastes different from a few years back.
Compared to Uncle Sam's price those food items are like 30% cheaper food is expensive in America
But also the income in the US is higher. JS.
@@whitenoise8603 you missed the point 👉
TRUE story.
Good to see you and the Lioness out shopping. Looking forward to seeing more content, Jackson!
My guy. ✊🏾
OMG pick up the Macadamia cookies and give us a review they sound delicious! Bonbons Kenya really is a melange of cultures 😂😂
Haha! Yeah, I have to check those out. 💯
Great video prices 3-4x cheaper than where I live in FL 🤕
Yes. The income in Florida is a ton higher than the average income in Kenya. JS.
Problem is that we earn less than 5% of what you earn in FL 😅
Yeah, I know. ✊🏾
Keep warm guys❤
🙏🏾
The funniest grocery shopping vlog I have seen today.
Sam ✊🏾
She's so damn cool
I think we grew up with Wangari coz everything she liked from that age... that's still my favorite. I can assure you things are cheaper in Kenya but you have to know that it all depends on one's income. I think your shopping was very ladylike (Sorry... not in a negative way). I wish I was there, you'd have done something different and exciting.
Welcome to Kenya 🇰🇪 good vibes
✊🏾
Prices are lower than Jamaica. great grocery store!
Agreed! Kenyan residing in the US who has been to Jamaica 6 times.
Wow. 👍🏾
Solid content right there!!!

You guys are funny, subbed!
Yep🔥 Kenya is the spot!!Man we love seeing you two in action....wan is the reason we stop dating women in USA..
🦁
Cooper and Wangechi thumbs up❤
$32 at an open market would buy you a weeks groceries
Very true. 🍎
Damn! Yesterday I spent 96 dollars on starbucks coffee for 4 days and dinner for 1 night.
Yeah,exactly🎉
Boy. Yall are interesting characters. As long as its by choice and not by force and keep it P...
LOL she checked that rabbit like a deer in headlights
If you like to make spaghetti while in Kenya be warned the sauce sold in stores is much more sweet than in America. It’s way too sweet IMO.
Coop Secret: Get some Italian seasoning and lace the sauce. 🍝
Sweet meaning tasty 😋
shout out to you bro coop that's definitely enough for 2 days eating , I always notice when out the country the peanuts be the highest no matter where I go and cereal . coop hit her with the pork and beans like we was 7 yrs old classic lol with a side of rice that was the meal . for some reason all foreigner women love pancakes too with the strawberry jam . it seem pretty late there what time does the grocery store close ? keep doing your thing stay safe I aint gone ask about desert we already know you got the 2 biscuits with the cream lol peace
✊🏾
Depends with the location but typically 10pm or 24 hours non stop
Love your videos guys🤎.
Am very surprised Kenya is more expensive than UK
Wow. 📈
It all depends on the area you are shopping at
My thing is why are all these western foods in the grocery stores in Africa BUT in the US there is nothing from Africa in the grocery stores, how is that fair...
All those foods are manufactured inkenya
Huyu jamaa anatuonaje kwani?@@steveogwenyo5615 😂
I'm Kenyan and lived in the UK for six years. In Europe it's easier to find African produce. I assume it's easier for the US to import produce from the Caribbean, Mexico and South America. Kenya does export textiles to the US though.
@@bookaltd Hmm Interesting. We need more African everything in the US.
Because fresh out the garden food is not in supermarkets but in local markets. You can never go wrong with buying from there. It's not something that's sitting in refrigerators for longer periods of time like these things from supermarkets
I need to come grocery shop! The price is dirt cheap!
You should, and I'll be your "Wangeci" during shopping haha. Welcome, hakuna matata!
Another great video.
🙏🏾
The maize and ugali thing. In the early twentieth century, when there was forced labour in white owned farms, the white farmers used to pay the black workers in maize or "posho". That is how maize became a staple, because most other foods were restricted to black people.
😮😮😮😮 didn't know!!!
Very similar to ‘soul food’ in the USA ✊🏾
@@COOPSCORNER You will notice the same in South Africa, Zimbabwe, which also had the same racial hierarchy with Kenya.
Ugali was introduced to Kenya by in early 1900s by 100 Afrikaans families who relocated to Uasin Gishu / Eldoret. As has been mentioned, they introduced payment of slaves by giving the 2kgs of maize flour. Infact UNGA is an acronym of Uasin Ngishu Growers Association which was the label on the packaging hence its referred to as UNGA.
@@wanguikariuki7673..Ugali has always been there..What was introduced to Africans is Maize or Maize flour..
I need to visit Nairobi! :)

@aaron welcome 🎉❤

You better keep her😮😊
🎉🎉😂1st in here today
💪🏾
I like the orderliness of this supermarket.
Very neat. 👍🏾
Keep her coop
Queen cakes look like cornbread
They don’t taste like cornbread. 👀
What is corn bread? What does it taste like?
I don't like it when foreigners do price comparisons with their countries. When outlets know more foreigners shop at their location, they hike prices, which works against the locals. Foreigners, please don't go saying stuff is cheap when you earn in dollars and euros.
you should try the tropical kenyan chevda😋
I’ll have to try it. 😎
Loooooove it!!!🙂
✊🏾
I was just in Kilimani, Nairobi. Protesting going on
😢I am eager to find out what's happening
@chilombomululu6034 Simplest way to explain it is that we , the young people of Kenya ,are protesting against bad governance, corruption and theft of public resources. It started as a protest against new taxes but has now become a revolution. We want a better country for us, our parents and future generations. There is an Aljazeera feature on it if you want to hear /learn more. Hope this helps 😊
That gal Wangechi is so cute 😊
The shower gel does smell good, I’ve used it before
💯
Nice video, you see those toothpaste, you'll be surprised which brands they prefer 😅
Jackson African accent is too funny 😂✌🏽🇰🇪🇺🇸
Ikr 😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
Sasa! ✊🏾
Try naivas cupcakes/muffins,swear by them
There are leeks and spring onions
It’s soda not pop😆
New sucriber from kenya
i wish u were here much earlier like 5 years sooner... things were much cheaper...
I’m still at Nut Gold 😂😂😂
Avoid #SOY BEAN# Brother, It's Not Good For Your Health, Especially For Men; & #NUT GOLD PEANUT BUTTER HAS SOYBEAN OIL#. Forget About The Taste, #YOUR HEALTH IS IMPORTANT!!! Be Careful With What U Eat.
WILD. 😅
You forgot to mention tax is included in the price shown. Good vid though 🫡
$10 =1000 schillings.
Bro me and my beautiful lady(Kenyan) live and die with the quick mart. I tell you this: you take your Kenya lady in there it’s like Christmas Day for her. lol. Better set the budget before you go. Peace
Maybe your Kenyan lady. What do you mean "it's like Xmas fir a kenyan lady?"
You sound sickly, maybe your girl
Bro, what brand are your glasses ?
Fashion Nova Men.
Good lord, it is very expensive, the dog food alone I can get here at Walmart for 15 dollars.
Very cute couple!
Is dude from Ohio? I dont know too many states that call a soda, a pop. Only Ohio and maybe Michigan.
Lol Kenyan prices are same or higher than Europe but the salaries have refused to Westernize 🤣🤣 🤣 Things have changed so much over 10 years. When I was in uni and am in my 30s now, things were so cheap.
Thanks for shating!
✊🏾
I Could not buy from that store, more into healthy eatting,,,The veggie i can do
Since when grapes became 500 Bob? 😢😢😢jeeez life is becoming hella expensive yoooooh....
In supermarkets,in streets should be 150 at most😂😂
❤
Bake beans with pancakes noooooooo🤢🤮😆
As a kenyan, i don't shop grocery in supermarkets... I go straight to the local markets and get my cheap fresh groceries
Do you realize grocery shopping is not just about fruits and vegetables...
My personal conclusion, if you're in Nairobi, kitengela, Athiriver; it's cheaper to shop groceries in the supermarket than the stalls. They're also fresh than those in the open market.
It’s cookies not biscuits😆
Not everywhere in the world uses the terms Americans do.If you travelled you'd know that.
Brits(who colonized Kenya call them biscuits and we continue to and are fine with it)
There is a difference with cookies and biscuits in Kenya by the way..both exist)
What you call biscuits in America.. Brits call crumpets.
@@mizzcatt7691 bro I know I’m joking with them 🤦🏾♂️ like I say soda and some people in another state may call it pop like Jackson just called it pop in the video like me and him would be going back and forth about it’s soda or pop nothing serious

Those fruits aren't from kenya. Maybe african but not kenyan. Imported.
Same junk food that's not good for you there as well. All that junk food, oreos, cheese puffs. etc have some major stuff in it you really should read up on..
it's not good . the only real shopping that you can do , is from the Kenyans. not one cent that you paid went to the Kenyans. you did Chinese or Indian shopping.
They say in Africa there's no food 😂😂
