‘What did I just get myself into?’ Is something a lot of people say when they listen to this group for the first time. Their core sound is rock, but their albums as a whole have a lot of different styles. The production team behind their music is just incredibly talented, and the girls all have their own vocal tone, each of which has its place their material. Jiu had said once that Dreamcatcher was like a black hole, once you fall in you can’t get out. I’m glad you found them and hope to see more album reactions from you. Your reactions are just so heartwarming to watch. This group has been running uphill since 2017 and since rock isn’t the most popular it’s never been easy for them. And yet, they are still just as powerful now as they were back then, only their voices have only gotten better over time.
Shatter is probably their most artistic b-side they've ever done. The choreo, music production, lyrics and even concept photos are all hinting at medusa's tragic love story

Agree. But doesn't have a m/v so you should have a Insomnia friend pick a good fancam from their 2023 tours. A 3 minute song could be a 15 minute fancam.
Their B-sides are something else, truly. For a nice chunky experience I would recommend Apocalypse: Save Us, which is the album for Maison (the first part of their last trilogy, before OOTD) It not only had great B-sides in general, as usual, but it also brought us a solo for each of the members! And they each had a hand in producing their own solo, so that's a sure-fire recipe for being taken out. Also, Dreamcatcher's 7th Anniversary is coming up, on January 13th, and they usually release a fan song to commemorate the occasion each year. This year's was Reason, and I'm still not ok about that beautiful song, so here's hoping you get to react to whatever they do this time =)

At this point I would just recommend going back to Nightmare (Or even back to Minx if you're feeling brave) and starting at the beginning. In my opinion, and many will agree, Dreamcatcher has no bad songs. You will find a lot of special clips sprinkled through all their various B-sides, and every dance practice will help you to appreciate the little details you miss during the MVs. Their various covers are amazing as well. I know one of my favorite things is to watch people falling in love with Dreamcatcher and I think a lot of people feel the same way, so I hope you decide to take the deep dive and bring us along with you 😊
The ending is so abrupt cause Shatter is about the myth of Medusa and she can't finish the word stone because she actually turns into stone. Isn't this genius?

The arrangement of the vocals is not arranged complex, but is cleverly done on the stop/start parts. I've been listening to various forms of music for years and have never come across this arrangement before.
Don't worry, a lot of people flip out over anything Siyeon does, even doing literally nothing spacing out is a major Siyeon meme. Handong does THAT part in Deja Vu too. Last video I told you Yoohyeon has the voice of an angel 😉. Handong and Yoohyeon did the Rise parts in OOTD too so you've liked them a while. For a few years maknae Gahyeon has wanted to be more than just "cute", 100 times Siyeon keeps saying "oohhhh cute!", Gahyeon scowls threateningly, and Siyeon changes what she's saying to "ohh cool!" to appease her. Times like Shatter we get reminded Gahyeon is REAL tired of being called cute. Songs you'll love: Red Sun - b-side from Scream album. Hip movements warning, but don't worry Dami will put you on the floor immediately so the rest just bonus. Whenever you see the words "Choreographed by SuA" that IS your warning for danger (speaking of danger a viewer might try to trick you into watching the Demian special clip... they are trying to murder you. That video coined the name Abcatcher. "Choreographed by SuA" IS the warning.) Heart of Sunflower - a piano ballad even softer than We Are Young. They have a few full-on piano ballads with maximum vocals, but Sunflower is the one that will pull your feels right out of your eyeballs. There is an online concert clip, live vocals with a live band, safe to react to. Secret Love Song - Yoohyeon cover of Little Mix. By the end you will be a puddle on the floor. Siyeon will have her competition for bias.

Gahyeon is the Fox of the group. Very clever, learns very quickly with a great memory. She is learning from the best in the business and gets to hang out with them 24/7. She's going to rule the entire world one day.
Handong is often called Dreamcatcher's "Ice Princess", but in truth, as you noticed, her voice is sooooo warm and rich, like a cozy snuggly blanket or a mug of hot chocolate. It's been four years since I began my Dreamcatcher journey - I envy you beginning yours!
Handong was only icey when she was in a new country, didn't know anyone well, and had trouble speaking or understanding Korean. That makes anyone quiet and reserved. As soon as she got a good handle on Korean she's been her true self, Kim Dong Dong the goofy savage burp princess.
We Are Young is a wicked song. It goes on all like a standard EDM track, then the last chorus with Siyeon knocks you down, and just to ensure that you stay down Dami and SuA kick you when you're helpless on the floor. Finally Gahyun wraps up by tenderly shaking you awake.

“Rising” and “Shatter” destroyed me. For me the best B-sites from Dreamcatcher next to "Trap", "Whistle" and "Fairytale". This group is incredible.
