For 5 years, Chris and Paul built a fantastic following of subscribers, who eagerly awaited each Friday for the latest video to drop, documenting the vehicle builds, adventures, and beer tales coming from Paul’s garage.
So much time, effort, and dedication take their toll. For still yet unknown reasons, the pair went their separate ways. I was burdened with some very difficult family drama, ultimately ending up with me having to sell the Mitsubishi L200, and moving all my life belongings, including all the newly purchased welding gear, plasma torch, and compressor, into a 20ft shipping container, where it still resides as I upload these videos.
Paul began attending shows on his own, traveling with new people, and has started his own TH-cam Channel documenting his ongoing build of Beryl, the Defender. I’m sure in the near future he’ll add more exciting projects and adventures of his own. You can find him over at Adventure365.
Unfortunately, I recently discovered Paul had decided to delete the Channel, which I found very upsetting. Not only was it 5 years of hard work and expense, but it also became a fantastic resource for fellow off-road enthusiasts and Overlanders. It was always enjoyable to sit back with a beer and be reminded of the fun times we shared and the adventures we had.
I am also conscious of the great support we were shown by our sponsors and the fact they would use our videos not only to promote their fantastic products but also as a great aid in fitting and using what they sold.
With that in mind, I decided to set up the Channel again and load up all the videos we created. It’s an enormous job, with nearly 300 videos, but I hope it will be appreciated by both old and new subscribers alike.
I do plan to return - both Angela and I are set on building a capable camper/motorhome in the not-to-distant future, and for the time being, I’m still trying to hold onto Red Five - the 1998 Land Rover Discovery 300tdi, with a view to once again, cut the rot out, fit the fantastic LongRanger kit, and make it a serious off-roader - cos let’s face it, we’re ever closer to that Zombie Apocalypse!! When I do, I plan to rename everything “Chester’s Chop Shop”, in memory of my incredible dog, Chester, who I lost in 2021.
All the best - and check out those fantastic sponsors below who helped us enormously over the years.

First came across one of these Glind Shower Kits back in 2012 doing the Simpson Desert treck in Australia, brilliant piece of kit especially after long days winching and digging yourself out the sand on hot days, or just to have a shower and freshen up after 2 or 3 days free camping. Been keeping my eyes open for a second hand Heat Exchanger kit for a couple years, and two popped up on Facebook Marketplace this week, one a Twine Heat Exchanger the other the full Glind kit same as yours, so hoping to pick-up one this week for half the retail price here in Aust.

I just scored a full kit in a case for FREE, took a 2.5hr round trip drive up to Sunshine Coast to collect, but was well worth the time to get this amazing piece of kit!

From everyone I have came across with this system here in Australia, they all say your engine needs to be at Running Temperature for best performance. Most fit a Mixing Unit so to adjust the temperature so it does not burn while showering
