It seems that a lot of these new weapons are good for full health builds, which is nice.
If you use the perk for fusion cores lasting longer you can get double ammo capacity out of it.
Not worth, fusion cores are at an abundance better spend that 3 points on something else
Fusion Core rechargeable machine is in the atom shop BTW
@@hopwaffles sounds like a skill issue, I haven't needed to get more ultracite cores in years.

I do appreciate the amount of weapons that Bethesda added to this update! Including ones with 25 dmg while aiming, which is a underrated legendary effect imo.
There are better leg. Ultracite Gatling Lasers for sure, at least with the -90% weight and the unique paint it is a nice piece to put it in your camp on a heavy weapon rack.

Weightless and the new skin makes it a nice display weapon
I'm building my camp to look like a gun shop, so every legendary I get that has the weightless perk is going on display so I don't demolish my stash budget.
I doubt I'll use this gun for much else, if I'm honest.

@@diminios thank you! I find it a good use for all the otherwise mediocre legendaries I get that I don't need to scrip. Plus it makes my camp look like it's got a purpose other than just being a camp.
I’m sorry but that’s a major gripe. Armor/weapons/PA we display should NOT count as both stash AND camp limit. It’s not IN our stash so it shouldn’t count towards the limited 1200. Just my 2¢
That's not how camp budget works.

Not sure if this was a bug or if it affects damage, but the perk Power User increases the amount of shots per core from 500 to 1k.

It is intended that power user affects gatling lasers aswell. They use fusion cores too.

I've been trying the new weapons, they don't seem extra special but i love the new paints....At least some of them, once you acquire the weapon, you get the paint! I put it on my PREFERED weapon (quad explosives) and love it.

I've using gatling lasers since fo2, i love how they look and i love the sound it makes, this new version looks pretty cool and bought one without hesitation. Its true ultracite variations are stronger but i love the default red beams of death.

I absolutely love this weapon. I’m running pure heavy gunner no VATS and this is perfect for running around Appalachia and not having to waste my precious ultacite Ammo or fuel
Turtle when you finish a daily ops or expeditiyon with ultracite gatling laser it gives you 75% charged cores. Was this always the case or is this a bug? Its really annoying to have these half charged cores
Is energy weapon damage still nerfed? I used to use an ultracite gatling laser that basically had thos same roll anyway but recently energy weapon damage changed to be addative instead of multiplicative. Are gatling lasers srill worth using?
How do you get the numerical changes for the modifications? Do you have a mod installed that does that?

Kinda sad that Helga isnt all that great, but honestly the fact that so many other enw rewards DO seem to be viable is awesome! When's the Zweihander video comin? That's been the most fun new weapon I've found so far, as a former chainsaw/auto-axer I'm freaking in LOVE with 2H melee now. And even though that new Lost Treasures bundle is a bit pricy, the V63 Power Armor looks soooooo good with the Zweihander

Was in a public game and someone killed the 3 Robots in a few seconds, was too fast to even see who or what they were using, any ideas?

I might be new (past level 50 tho) but that thing SHREDS opponents from a distance, better than my quad full auto railway. Am I mistaken ?
Because the fusion core recharger makes it a never-ending ammo weapon (I'm a loot goblin scared to run out of ammo)

you can as well try to but plan from players but it will be expensive
I use a bloody ffr UGL with charging barrel and it absolutely streds anything...
I got this thing over the weekend. I think I might give it a spin, seeing as I have some 38 fusion cores, and they just keep recharging themselves with the new enemies (using your lazy build).
I wish I could drop one. I happened to have bought the red death weapon for like 1000 caps. Other than that I havent gotten a single one.
Its too bad. I was looking forward to this weapon. Not sure why Commandos seems to get all the really cool stuff.
its just cuz its the second most popular build after heavy guns, and heavy guns already have a ton of cool fun weapons, and a variety of them, while commandos have the fixer, handmade, and elders mark if u wanna spend a fortune on ammo lol. the new handmade and especially 10mm smg add a bit more variety, finally having a 10mm smg worth using. now if i could just get the damn thing, itd be the gun i use majority of the time due to 10mm being so cheap. Shattered Grounds is a lot of fun tho, ive always been partial to the junkie effect since i like to play a raider in this game, and having a unique one makes me happy
@taytayaxolatte Understandable. I've just always had terrible luck with my gun rolls, so it feels like I don't have much. For example, I've probably re-reolled like 100 Gauss Miniguns and 50 Ultracite Gatling Laser and never got Anti-Armor even once, so I'm just sticking with a Vampire's and Furious Gauss for now. Now I'm going to try for a Cremator, but the imbalance of legendary modules vs cores is rough.

thats rough with the rolls tho, i dont think ive rolled anti armor on my weapons either. ive gotten plenty bloodied and quad tho which are my preferred effects anyways, but itd be nice to have some anti armor options. u will get them eventually :D
I would love a perk or a mod (always slowly spinning, but always makes noise so you can’t sneak as well or something?) that cuts spin up time because ugh it’s annoying.
I got a two-shot, faster fire, with beam splitter. Pepper shaker ain't got nothing on me.

Charging barrels are sick to use the gatling laser with vats. But with DWA you'd wanna stay away from vats probably. If you had a AA50c25lvc gatling laser then charging barrel would be nasty and impressive for vats
May be glitch/lag but it does seem to have an odd interaction with Strangler Heart armor. Switching between Hellcat and Strangler Heart does seem to have a noticeable drop in shots needed to kill most things. It also doesn't seem to EVER fully deplete cores. It always reloads at 0 ammo but the core is still sitting at 10-20 charge.
It does more damage in strangler heart you mean?
@@GhostStalker16 It seems to act similar to the Pepper Shaker where the dot stacks at times.
so both new lasers didnt have hiden effect and all others new weapon have. just why?what a point?
plus 20% Ammo capacity work corectly on your case Because 500 10% is 550 and 500 plus 20% is 600 lol

I was waiting to get this laser galting, especially for the bosses of the game and it turned out to be very disappointing... In addition, the aim damage bonus doesn't work... (maybe it works on no weapon, to be verified)
Its not good for dps, true. But this weapon with charging barrels is one of the best in saving ammo. If you have recharger, you pretty much have unlimited ammo with just 8 cores (4 for use, 4 for charging). And it is weightless too, almost perfect economically.
Don’t you run with that perk which makes fusion cores last longer, doesn’t that help up the capacity for Gatling lasers

The damage output of the new weapons may be a hint at how BGS intends to rebalance the existing weapons in the future.
Bethesda sure loves adding new unique pieces of scrip.
Got the extended core perk card and I'm using it for my everyday weapon, then just charge my depleted cores later
Well, at the very least it’s a good looking Fusion Core farmer. Joining my Grand Finale and Plasma Caster as ammo farmers.
Definately not a miss, a non ultracite gat las doing near the same and with the right mods more than ult gat las.
As an energy heavy build i can fully atest Helga is actually really good.
I forgot you can change the mods in this gun until I watched this video, ive been using it with the default mods since the update 💀
Hoenstly I just cant seem to get the ultracite gatling laser plan soon to be level 600 and I still dont have it :/

I've gotten this one 3 times, gotten anchorage ace once and nothing else. Luckily i found bertha tesla rifle in a vendor

I definitely go for red terror .
Foundation is a minigun, so it has spool up time , final word is a great gun but red terror shreds .
Red sht is sht dont get it lmfao if you want a MG get bekets 50. Cal. The best DLC weapon IS Hulga

I have terrible luck when creating legendaries I almost always get damage to mireluk, drug addicts or other pretty bad guys so I'll have to settle for this gatlin 😢
this is very decent gun for players below lvl 300. Damn i was so pumped about railway rifle. it was perfect side gun for PA build but they just destroyed it so badly 😭
if they give us ultracite Gatling then this baby will be amazing cuz fusion cores are easy to come by and passively charging them at camp

I came to same conclusion ahout the Helga a few days ago but im probably a bit harsher on it. Its just a fairly ordinary laser gattling, and a bit of a disappointment compared to the other new weapons in this update.
For the unique perk it should have gotten a splitter barrel like lazer rifle

I was hoping they would make this to be a good weapon that would be better at some things than a regular UGL but they did not. Just a bummer.

I wouldn't even use it for core farming. People hardly ever take the power plants these days and players sell cores rather cheaply.
Bethesda has dug themselves in a hole, i dont see a way for them to make a build comparable to bloodied, that doesnt involve nerfing the playstyle alltogether.
Anything for Full Health builds is a win in my book so I'll be looking to score this gun. Bloodied gets too much love and needs a nerf.
For those who don't know, if you have the legendary perk that absorb energy and recharge your fusion cores and restore health while you are in a power armor... With things like this, you have infinite ammo
No because it will recharge the core on the power armor only.
@@guilatequila yeah, but if you reload before the ammo going 0, exit the power armor and put the empty core, you will have infinite ammo yet. I'm running with 42 fusion cores more than a week. I'm recharging the cores at laser turrets, in some transmission towers. I have the fusion recharger, but this way is faster

When you nuke the new zone it seems the nuke gets blocked and there is no radiation. Is this a bug or a temporary thing because the zone is new or is it supposed to always happen because the nuke gets intercepted before impact?

This is the problem with a lot of these weapons, nice skin, but awful stats. If we could obtain the skin, I’d say it’s worth farming for them.

Or you're a collector like me. but I see the price will drop fast after this video.
So armor piercing on heavies is worth if you want to use them without power armor because otherwise you don't have access to piercing. With power armor the value of the legendary perk is negated by your own perk card.
I am aware of armor piercing stacking so it's 33% into 100% and then 50% into the remainder. But the way it works you get diminishing returns from armor piercing stacking hence why it's better for non power armor heavy users.

I've got millions of fusion cores (not literally millions OBVS but quite a lot) I never use power armour and never use gatling lasers. I guess the question you are all asking is why the hell do you have fusion cores? Yeah, me too. Tonight I am gonna drop em in the donations box outside the station at Whitespring. My explosive gatling lasers got themselves pruned of an explosive effect when Bethesda chose to play silly buggers. I still got the lasers which are gonna go too. Vampires gatling plasma is still OK for boss bashing. I lost my explosive effect on this too. Bethesda are rotten S O B's
The unique may suck, but at least I can finally flex my anti armor ffr ultracite gatling lazer, I love the way that charging barrels interact with ffr
Tmho all gatling lasers are trash, u can mode them as much as u like but at the end u will use in no time cores that weights 3 wo reduction and are slow charging…im too lazy for this, the dmg is not even that grate, and yeah…it need to spin first before shooting, a fixer will kill 2 shots crit 2 enemies before any gatling will shot the first round…yesterday i was farming exped whit a guy with a gatling, i was killing 4 in spaw and he was only hitting the last one with me, and im using a joystick…so yeah, fast insta shot high dmg weapons for ever, for bosses i have my chu chu gun (ticket to revenge)

they tried giving the Gatling laser unlimited mag size in Fallout 4, and it gave it Infinite Ammo (completely). so maybe they couldn't give it double?
