They are written in hiragana and katakana, but serve only as pronunciation. The words have no meaning and are only meant to sound like Japanese. Through an illusion called auditory pareidolia, you can mishear real language in the gibberish. These lyrics are my personal interpretation. ⚠️

A song to get people hyped up during the Splatfest. Marina intends to inspire with her abstract lyrics of love and making an impact through music and dance. Pearl is an inspiration to people with nay-sayers to prove the detractors wrong with their splatting skills.
Note, 8 out of the song's 26 lines are directly from Nishman235, many others with minor changes. Like PALogy's Calamari Inkantation, some lyrics just can't be improved on.
This time I did add my little "by me" bit at the beginning, despite my anxieties over the fact that I'm not using my own footage (I did in the first one I did, but I don't have the tech these other TH-camrs did so they were shitty 30 second recordings straight from my Switch). However, I found a good way to slip in credit for the person whose footage I use for 70% of this, VGBites. I decided to put it in the same place as "#Splatoon2" which is in the corner of all of the Nintendo UK footage, so when the footage cuts there wouldn't be anything too different that would draw your eye away.

That’s an incredibly cute headcanon, but apparently Pearl was trying to become a heavy death metal singer before she met Marina. Marina wandered in on Pearl singing and I’m not even sure if Marina knew what Pearl was even saying, since Marina only recently learned the Inkling language, plus in the Japanese version they gave Marina a _very_ heavy accent lol
Ah, I got off track. What I meant-before she met Marina and decided to be in a pop duo, Pearl was deadset on death metal music. So she’s probably not exaggerating if she talks about Doom. Plus, I think it’s absolutely hilarious because Pearl was raised in a rich posh Inkling family (opposite to Marina) and still wanted to scream at a microphone for a living.

They are video game characters, there is no drawback for performing that long at once. But there is a lot of artists that perform multiple days in a row, not to mention they usually travel for MONTHS on end just going from gig to gig performing. Clearly you just know jack shit about real performing if you think this is worth any respect, and it's very disrespectful to people that spend all that time and effort, let alone mad respect. Maybe go outside and join a real event once, you have festivals go for literal weeks with the same artist performing multiple days if not all week in a row, no need to waste your respect on virtual pixel characters made up by someone when real people do these things.

I recently lost my data for this game trying to transfer it onto a new switch, but I will never lose the memory of playing this game. This was the first splatoon i ever played, and i dont regret that ever being the case. I loved these two idols ever since I saw them, and that love only grew when I participated my first splat fest. This song cemented my love for these two. And its nice knowing that they feel the same way about each other.
This splatfest song is the biggest vibe. Even while playing Splatoon 3 and loving it's music, I don't think anything will ever top Colour Pulse. Not for a long time.

The songs are gibberish that is written in a smooth flow and performed by actresses. The lyrics in the video were created by whoever made the video. Squid and Octos dont speak English. But the songs are written with no meaning or lyrics behind them, just a really cool sound.

I’m listening to this again after a while and, there is just so much nostalgia in this song, it’s really making me cry. Splatoon 2 was the first ever Splatoon game I played, so the Off The Hook girls being my first ever idols, therefore meaning a lot to me, I miss them so much, I miss that era of Splatoon, I miss being younger, but I guess time doesn’t have mercy.
