    Thank you for sharing this video. I was interested in this tool but hesitated in buying one because I'm not a very technical person either. You have removed my fear so I feel this tool is safe enough for me to purchase. Thank you!!

      @@paultsworld I followed everything you said, including lubricating the chain...wearing gloves and safety glasses. Great little saw for sawing those smaller dead branches around my property!

    I think the best attribute of this saw is that it is handheld and for its mini size it packs quite the punch! Love your review Paul T. The company has reached out to me recently via email and I must say, I was about to delete it. Glad I didn't. Mines has just been shipped.

      Because it’s such a useful item for us gardeners, I think it’s a good product to review. I’ll look out for your video.

    Good review. I recently purchased the Stihl version, gta26. I’ve tried it out on some unsuspecting limbs but haven’t really put it through its paces. So far, I love it, great for an older woman with creaky joints! It’s American made, with a parts and service center close. If Stihl hadn’t come out with one, I probably would have bought the Saker. What a revolution in gardening!

    Hi Paul. It looks really good. When I think of all the hours and hours I have spent cutting shrubs and trees with a little bow hand saw, I would have so enjoyed having one of these. My family, however, would be considered if I got one.if I am not 'allowed' to use the garden shredder on my own, in case I have a misshap 😊😮

    • @paultsworld

      Hi Pauline, the little bow saw is good exercise - you have a very caring family. 👍

      Ha, ha - don’t give me ideas 😀
      It was fun looking round the garden for things to saw for the video - some of the shrubs were wincing a bit as I walked past. Get one Gill, they’re actually good fun.

    Nice review, I miss how long the battery worked in one go. But last fall I already bought a reciprocating saw, and happy with it. Makes all cutting easier and quicker :)

    • @paultsworld
      @paultsworld  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I didn’t manage to run the battery down - I think I’ll be run down before the battery. Gives a good excuse to have a break.
      Glad you’re getting good use of your other saw - anything to make life easier.

    I have this exact tool and I love it. I need some replacement chains already, I've used it that much. I'm also left handed but can use it easily with both hands. Just be super careful LOL

    • @paultsworld
      @paultsworld  ปีที่แล้ว

      Nice to hear so many people make good use of these mini chainsaws. My sister needs to replace her chain as she’s used the saw so much. I also will probably just use my right hand.

  • @nickiramsay2421

    Very useful review, it would be handy for me to keep my hedge in order. I would find using a full sized chainsaw too scary and too heavy but I think I could cope with this.

    • @paultsworld
      @paultsworld  ปีที่แล้ว

      Full sized chainsaws certainly can be daunting - and heavy. Depending on the type of hedge you have would electric hedge trimmers be suitable?

    • @nickiramsay2421
      @nickiramsay2421 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@paultsworld I have hedge trimmers but there are sometimes some branches that are too thick for them to cope with (dreaded Leylandii) I have to resort to a pruning saw, I thought these might save me a bit of effort for those awkward branches

    • @paultsworld
      @paultsworld  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I see what you mean - yes, the larger leylandii branches would be ideal for the mini chainsaw.

    To adjust the chain tightness, it is better to just loosen the hex nut a half turn and then adjust the chain tightness without removing the cover.

    What type of gloves should be used?

    • @paultsworld
      @paultsworld  ปีที่แล้ว

      For the best protection get Kevlar gloves - they’re useful for any work with sharp objects. I use them when filleting fish.
      I’ve got a link to them in the description.
