I am so glad that you reviewed one of these because I wanted to get one and never did because I was concerned the reviews were not true on various kinds. Thanks!
Glad the review and test was helpful! I was skeptical too. It is perfect for small stuff around the yard. Only downside is, my Fiskars pruners will probably get rusty from sitting. The mini saw will be my go to pruner from now on! Thanks for watching and commenting!
That torture test tickled me too. Glad you showed the sprocket- that's what made me buy one. Many of these "cheapies" have delrin or nylon plastic; but I prefer steel or brass for durability (not that heavy duty plastics can't work well in certain applications for sure). I initially purchased it for my mom but I think I'll get one too. Thanks for such a well-done review.
Glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment! Only thing I’ve managed to wear out is the guide bar and chain. Both have been replaced and saw is still going!
I just got mine and haven't used it yet. First time I will have used a chain-saw, so your demonstration really helped dispel my nervousness. I'm much more confident. I can't wait to use it. It seems perfect for the work I need to do around our property. Thank you.
Glad you found the video helpful! I’m sure you’ll enjoy the saw! Just be careful and take it slow starting out until you get the hang of it! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I saw someone else review this and I bought one. Mine came with two battery packs. I used it to cut some smaller brush and limbs and it worked so well for what I needed. You sure did put it through the torture test!! I wouldn't use mine like that, but for reviewing you did a great job!! I used mine for a good while and still had charge left.
I've been using that 4:26 but after a year or two it's doesn't work as good any more and can't cut larger branches. Seeing you putting this little thing to work like that, I'm impressed. I think I'm in love with this thing. I appreciate how you keep updating us on the battery status, that's important for me. Never use a saw before but your video seem simple enough. Thank you.👍
Glad you enjoyed the video! The Saker saw is a tough little machine! If using saws for the first time, be sure to be extra careful! Stay safe thanks for watching and commenting!
That mini saw cut much better than I expected. I am impressed, especially with the battery life. That would make a great tool to have on hand for small jobs.
Thank you, I managed to tighten the chain as a result of watching your video. This is the 2nd time of using my Saker mini electric chainsaw and I would highly recommend getting one.
Thanks for the review. Looked at one at Home Depot that was a lot more cost. Enjoy your channel and good to have a local creator. You are very informative and explain "how to" very well.

The best review I have seen of this saw. I might purchase either the next size - 6” or possibly even the 8”. I would love to see you test the 8” you certainly removed any doubt that I might have had on this model. I am 78 years so this would be the perfect saw that I might be able to use. Great review!! Exactly what I was looking for!! Someone to test a bigger tree limb!! Other then branches!! Thanks!! I’ve had my Saker for about a year and haven’t used it yet!! Ready to go now!! All primed after a few good videos!!
Glad it was helpful! Tough little saw. Over 100 battery charge cycles now on the saw. Makes clearing underbrush a breeze! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thank you for this review. I have been considering getting one of these, but always had my doubts about how good it would actually be. I bought a cheaper version on Amazon which couldn't even lift the bark from a branch! I'll definitely take another look at this with a view to getting one. Cheers from the UK!

Thank you for the test and review. I just received this saw and tried it today. I learned here how to cut down about a 5 to 6 inch tree with your cut. So far, love the saw for I cannot handle large saws.
This was the really best review on this saw. So many other reviewers just showed either one drop of oil on the chain or a sprinkle on the chain for an inch or so. Then not move the chain completely for at least a full revolution. Did these other reviewers wonder why it is called "bar" and chain oil,.....no. As shown here correctly the oil must be applied between the chain and the bar to eliminate the friction. I was so impressed with this saw I bought here in UK, the same design model but as a 6 inch under another name and for half the price. My saw came in a hard case, two batteries and a spare chain. All parts look identical to the Saker one. After seeing this excellent review I searched on Amazon UK for the identical model. I hope it works just as well.
Thank you for the kind words, I really appreciate it! Glad you enjoyed the review! It really has been a good little saw! Still gets used, not broken yet! Hope yours holds up as good as mine has! Appreciate you, take care!
Thanks! Is the chain scrubbing the edge of the guard a bit? May try tightening the guard screw a touch to keep it better aligned! As for any possible damage/dulling of chain from the plastic its a non issue, I cut salvaged trex decking boards for garden projects all the time with the little saw!
Nice little saw, i never would have expected it to do what it did. & i have 4 chainsaws & have work with them my entire life. At the beginning i was thinking what a waste of money but I'd buy one
It was way tougher and more powerful than I ever expected. I could definitely see carrying this while cutting firewood to clear the small brush out around the base of larger trees. Save fuel and no risk of a dulled chain on your main saw. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Great demonstration of the Saker mini chainsaw. I am looking for a mini chainsaw and saw your review on the chainsaw. Yes, it was TORTURE TEST. I am leaning toward to buy this brand. It seems that you demonstrated the 4inch. My question is, would the 6inch do even better?
I can’t speak of the larger model. I’m unsure if they used the same motor and bigger guide bar or larger motor for the larger guide bar equipped saw. Same motor and larger bar would be more strain on the saw. Larger motor to compliment the larger bar, one would expect better performance. Hope this helps!
Thank you for a great review. I have just bought this saw and having never used one before, I was interested to see how you checked the chain first and what to do if it was too loose.
Awesome job on the review brother, very detailed and I really like the fact that you really put it to the test with some bigger trees like I did. I ran into the same problem with the chain guard on mine but man this little saw is a awesome little tool to have! It sure cut through that maple like butter lol.. Again great job on the review brother, looking forward to checking out some more of your content!
I just bought this saw yesterday and am so glad to see such a positive review. It's my first power saw of any kind. I bought it to use around my garden. I've never handled any tool with a motor before, save for an old corded electric drill. So, I figured this little chainsaw is a good one with which to start. I bought it on sale from Amazon based on the ratings and reviews there. It just seemed like a very good tool for the price. I'm now wondering if the manufacturer sells a 6" blade kit or the parts separately, should I ever want a slightly larger blade for that motor. Mine has been operating very well after 6 months. I am now interested in a replacement chain but am confused what length to buy. The saw is described as a 4 inch saw. The closest length from the sprocket to the nose of the guide bar is approximately 6 inches. The 4 inch description probably refers only to the exposed (cutting) section of the chain. The instrutions are of little help. So what chain length should I buy, 4 inch or 6 inch??
If your saw says it’s a 4” model, use the 4” chain. You are correct the exposed cutting area of the guide bar is the standard measurement for chainsaws. Hope this helps! Stay safe!
Looking for something like this for my wife. You sure helped me with my decision. I heard that using this on fruit trees you should use vegetable oil instead of the provided oil. Wouldn't that gum it up? Thanks again. Great video.
Glad you found the video helpful! Some recommended veg or mineral oil on fruit trees. Do what you think is best but I’ve used regular chainsaws and petro base oils without issues on fruit trees. YMMV Thanks for watching and commenting!
Wow that's an impressive little saw. That would be nice to take camping or clear out a shooting lane for hunting. Can't believe how long the battery lasted. Might even be nice to limb larger trees after you fell them with a large chainsaw.

I bought one of these. And it worked great, just like in the video. After about 6months it would run, then shut off, then run again and shut off again. It seems like a thermal protection thing. Annoying as hell. I tried to see if I could by pass the overload device. No luck. I bought another one, same thing. How about do an update video? My experience is these saws work great until they suck, which happens rather quickly.
@@THEOFFGRIDMOUNTAINHOMESTEAD Thanks for your reply. I use the saw for trimming palm trees while on a ladder. Which beats the hell out of the hand saw I used to use. The one hand operation is the only safe way to do that on a ladder. A bigger power saw is out of the question. Thanks for sharing your experience.
If you’re looking for a heavier duty option there’s always the Milwaukee hatchet. $$$$ but will cut and buck full size 8-10” diameter poplar and sweet gum trees on a single 6AH battery.

It jams on every cut no matter the pressure or lack of pressure you use. I had it oiled, charged, could not get through a single branch--not even on butterfly bushes or rose bushes. Thought maybe I was doing something wrong, but obviously after watching these reviews, it's just junk!
Sorry you’ve had problems. Mines been a trooper. Check out my update video on the saw. th-cam.com/video/ygRgkf1SdFs/w-d-xo.html
Did you return for a refund?
I thought it was 38.00 last night my husband showed me the pink and I was going to get me one but now they are 89.00 😢😢😢
Amazon doesn’t like companies to sell out of a product. So vendors will often raise prices to slow sales! It will come back down!
