I was 12 in 1979 living in Yonkers New York and this song made me fall in love with a girl in my 6th grade class Lisa iam 56 and I wonder what happened to her now
I grew up listening to this music and I still listen to it today....I can't get into any of today's music.
Anyone here in 2025? This song will never get old!😊
I haven't heard this song for decades but it is still good.
Nothing like the music of the 60's 70's and 80's the best music
I am 28 years old and I like this song ❤
Heyy..can somebody give me a ride back to 1979?? I don't think I'll be needing a ride back.
I totally agree. .. it never grows old!
Perfect song
An Everytime Classic
# 1 in the US singles chart 1980 for 5 weeks.
Another classic
2025 and still listening. Absolute classic
Great music. Not the absolute garbage being spilled today.
Nearly four years since I lost my mum and music like this sends me right back to my childhood. RIP mum ❤
Brilliant song
I miss these days 😞😭
We don't search for old songs, we search for old memories❤
2024 and I’m still here listening and it gets better as time goes by!
Happy 84th birthday, Sir Cliff!
This is 1979 to a tee. Say what you want about ol' Cliff but this is without doubt his best tune and deservedly went to No1 in the UK charts. And it reinforces my view as to why 1979 is one of the greatest years for music......ever.
I think its Cliff's best '70 song ❤
In 1979, Richard's single "We Don't Talk Anymore" became the highest selling record of his career achieving worldwide sales over 4 million.
Keys and bass are sick on this
There is only one CLIFF RICHARD . His voice is so unique. Bless him.
People make fun of Cliff, but the man can definitely sing!
We were so privileged to be born when we were. I was born 1963 the music was just magical and still is ❤
Great song from a great decade. God take me back.....todays music sucks.
I haven’t heard this song since the 80’s, this song has been living rent free in my noggin for over 40 years. I just woke up, took a chance and looked it up and found it
For me, it's the best song ever from Cliff!!!!! Amazing....!!
Will always love Cliff. God bless you, Cliff.
Wow, look at that Polymoog Synthesizer in the beginning! 😮 Such a great full sound.
I graduated in 79 enlisted in the AF. This song has a lot of memories good and bad . Now retired will be 64 this Christmas and still rocking ❤❤ Ms T Ellis
I'm 73, I have listened to him when I was 13 in Hong Kong, and I am still listening to him, he is the greatest singer ever.
I graduated in 79,and knew him from Devil Woman, and was just totally enthralled with the song.Remember punk, like Ramones and Blondie was just starting.Metal Quiet Riot about then.New wave The Cars,Devo,Tom Petty Damm the torpedoes. You see 79 is a very important year in music, and I was there man!
Feeling blessed to have grown up in the 70’s!
I was in an Italian American restaurant recently in North Carolina, and on the radio, they were playing this beaut of a number. I admit it, I was probably the only one singing along.
Probably my favourite Cliff song.
I discovered this song just listening around. I was born in 2000. However, when I play them my parents always say “how’d you know this one” etc. it’s great. Best era of music!
He was one of the best UK performers. In my humble opinion, Cliff still has it!
Very good looking at this time: 38 -45 years.
It's hard to believe Cliff started out in the 50's. He changed with the decades with their music.
A very happy birthday to Sir Cliff 84 today (October 14th,there aren't many who've lasted as long as Cliff has, congratulations to quote another of his songs.
still rocking with this in 2024, any other 50-60-70 & 80 year olds still doing the same!?
said goodbye to my mum on train to Val d Isere..to be au pair..i was 16...it hurt my morher so much..this was her song..she was my life..spent rest of life living together in Spain...never left her again..until she passed
This song and its performance by Cliff sums up 70's pop perfectly. The swagger, the sound and stage presence are pure 70's!
Oh yeah this is great music I'm 76 and hate our kids missing out on this kind of music.
It's weird how a song can bring you right back in time. I can remember being in my parents yellow plymouth duster in the back seat as a little kid hearing this.
I love that record...memories of those 1970s!
This is roller skating days, miss those times.
The best from 70's for all times !
I remember waking up in the morning for school and this song would be on the radio. Loved it then and still do now!
Better than all the music today.
I would like to dedicate this song to a old friend of mine..that don't talk to me anymore... after 75. Years of freanship .😢
Fun fact, the Beatles used to open up for Sir Cliff Richard. Yes, he was, is, always will be one of the greatest musicians ever. He has a top hit in 5 different decades. That is one hell of an accomplishment. 💯💕🕊
Love this song 🎵 specially because it was released the year I was born.
Thank you Cliff Richard for this masterpiece 🎉
I was 11 on that year and never ever forget this timeless masterpiece.
Wasnt he early forthies here? Look at him. Way ahead of his time. Fit and fabulous then and same really now. Amazing artist ...great song
Amazing Voice !!! I remember when this came out !! Thank you so much !!!
What a great song! We had the best music back in the day!
This would go to no.1 if it was released today. Banging tune, absolute classic.
What a classic hit, indeed we don't get such melodies and such beautiful poetry anymore.
That bass line just flows so well. Minimal lead guitar allows the whole piece to accentuate the vocals and keyboards. It surely is a great pop song. Respect Sir Cliff.
Great song and Happy 84th birthday Cliff❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
This guy has made some great songs over the last 6 decades, show him some respect, his longevity is amazing,
2024, still listening to this classic, never get tired listening to it, it's incomparable w/ Cliff's mellow& soothing voice.
Summer of 1979 seems so long ago . This was the song of that summer July / Aug I was 16 I’m 61 now my old dad was right life is fleeting and flys past thanks for the memories Cliff

Wonderful....I was a kid and loooved it....and still love it ❤
Amazing range he had!
The energy and passion he put in his music shines through.
One of the best solo artists of the time.❤❤❤❤
In Peru , this song was really popular and a hit in 1979
Crazy to think that he already had a 20 year career in 1979!
Still a great song after all these years!
We love you Cliff. Thank you for your music ❤
I would give anything to talk to my mum one more time. She has been gone 22 years now and it still breaks my heart. 😢😢
MY favorite Cliff Richards music and performance. He conveys the sense of fractured relationships so well, while keeping a great vocal range, singing with fresh 'heart' and adding just the right amount of dance!
Great song and cliff did many great radio friendly songs at the end of 70s. Great ! 🙂
Can’t believe this was the 6th music video aired on MTV when it launched. Back when *MUSIC* Television aired music videos and not those crap reality shows.
@@rosesingh339 what were they? Don't leave us hanging.
Bellissima canzone
@@rosesingh339 2. You better run - Pat Benatar. 3 She won’t dance with me - Rod Stewart. 4 You Better You Bet - The Who. 5 Little Suzis On The Up - Ph.D 😉
It went from MTV to BTV and then the crap shows, sad.
And I think it was shot with a budget of like, $36 bucks lol
THE BEST ONE OF MUDIC SIR CLIFF RICHSRD!❤❤❤👏👏👏🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷❤️🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮
It recently came to my attention that Cliff Richard and John Lennon were the same age. I can't help but compare the two of them at this age - 39 in 1979 and 40 in 1980. Poor Lennon looked 60 and Cliff looks young and happy. This may be the perfect little pop song. I love it.
God I miss my childhood 😢😢
I gotta say I’m a cliff richard fan.His late 70’sand early 80’s material is pure gold. It’s shameful how he’s been treated. The vultures love to pick a carcass in this country.I’m no fan of the mans ideology but his music deserves credit. He’s always been positive and I’ve net heard a bad thing come from his mouth.I guess people in this country don’t believe in good people anymore.
Thank you for sending me Jordan What a beautiful, giving , honest , loving person he is 😂😂😂😂😂🎉🎉
We Don't Talk Anymore still remains Cliff Richard's biggest selling single. The track was also produced by the shadows rhythm guitarist, Bruce Welch.
Back to my young youth. Such a better time than this sick culture today.
One of the most underrated songs ever!
You never change your voice is the weeper in the wind 💨
There were so many amazing songs back in the 70s. This was one of them❤️
The baseline is really beautiful.
Cliff Richard is timeless
This is probably one of the greatest pop tunes ever written!
Yes, for sure!
Still listening to this since I was a kid in the 70s great song!!!
I was 17 when I heard this song. I never grow tired of it. It brings so good memories for me.timeless cliff at his best.
