wow, when I saw 20 mins I thought... do I don't I, I am glad I did, that is a fantastic idea I have not seen on any other kayak mod channel so far. You wont lose anything out of that box if you capsize. Now I want to see if I can modify my milk crate lol
Thanks, I appreciate the kind words.
One of the better videos I’ve saw because you actually tell us what sizes your using and what not. Thanks for the video
Thanks!!!!
Liking your use of the stable tripod mounted camera for these videos -sooo much easier to watch than a hand held camera being waved alll over the place!
Thank You my friemd
Great mods and you explained every step very well. I like the cut down crate with the lid. ......Take care, Bluefin.
Thanks for the kind comment, thanks for watching.
This is a wonderful video; and, it is very enjoyable to watch. Making the washers from a cutting board ( 10:16) is a great idea. Thank you for posting this on TH-cam.
Norwood BayBridge thank you very much
Great video!! You are a very humble person to watch!! Thanks for ideas and content!! I subscribed and smashed that like button!! Stay humble
Cutting the bottom off the second crate to make a lid was pretty darned clever.
I will be trying that!
Thanks, it has been working great.
Can't wait for some nice weather! Kayaks are looking good
Johnny Jackson We are gonna have some adventures this season
Doing the same thing with a milk crate to the dry latch on my lifetime lancer kayak
Let me know how it turns out!!!
I like your mods. Nice and simple. I'm hoping to see your cart in use. I bought a simple two wheel cart last summer and it's strap on system was useless. I'm getting my son to help me modify it to use this summer. Ice just came off our lakes up here in Northern Canada eh....gettin on the water next weekend.
Hooray!
Oh man you still had ice on the lakes, hopefully I can get out soon if it ever stops raining here in Maryland
Great Work, awesome Ideas
Cant wait for good weather. good luck starting your channel. As I am starting my own as well.
Hello ! What kind of kayak are You using. Maybe You have Said it , but i missed that part. Mike
The kayak in this video is the Pelican Trailblazer 100, but just this season I bought a Lifetime Yukon 116 sit on top, but will still use the Pelican for hard to get to ponds next year. Thanks for watching, and I believe that Pelican uses a different mold for tbe 100 now.
@@PappysKeepers34 thanks for your reply! Mike
Not a problem, thanks
Nice set up!💯💪👊LET'S GO!!!
ELITE BASS STICK thanks man
ELITE BASS STICK . dont you follow me on fishbrain?
I don't have that app on my phone sorry!
Hi would have put a ply wood base under the lid of the yak,and leave more material on the crate lid like a shelf.?
This is how I prefer it, if you do something like this to your kayak by all means make it to your liking.
Brother this mod video gave me some great ideas as i'm picking up this same kayak today hopefully but mine already has the rod holders but it needs that storage that you made from your previous video so thank you !
Robert Agri Chillin' Outdoors thanks man, I'm glad someone found the info helpful
The storage well keeps the kayak afloat when the boat fills with water. Taking it out makes the kayak sink to the bottom.
KJ's Kitchen thats what the styrofoam under the seat is for
nicely done! liked and subscribed!
If you can find an older fibreglass milk crate..you can screw into them and they wont crack..ive been using mine for 12 yrs..got 15 coats of paint on it..i sent you a link to the vid
KAYAK BOB ok cool thanks for the info

Willie G I tried not to do it but sacrifices had to made, tbanks man

Extremely helpful thank you
That is a great mod, it looks like it could have came with the kayak. Whenever I see a kayak mod video i'm like, lets see how this guy butchers his kayak,,, lol. But honestly this mod is first rate thanks for sharing.
Thanks alot
Very cool mod PK!
Thanks Man
Hi would put big blocks of polystyrene front and rear. tip this yak over it will sink with out polystyrene blocks .?
Its got styrofoam surrounding the seat it will be ok
that's the hard part waiting...lol
Zip tie a piece of plywood to bottom less crate
What do you mean the crate has a bottom?
The one you cut off the bottom
Good job!
How are your kayak and mods holding up? Any issues?
As of yet I havent had any issues
10:25 I looked! You got me.
Painful to watch
