@@Marc_Slade on mod 2 its just a short ride directed mostly by tue instructor, he will get you to follow signs for a short while towards a certain area. Keep an eye on road signs and speed limits otherwise and use any bus lanes that may be allowed. Try your best to be relaxed and don't hesitate to use the throttle if needed to get out of junctions etc and get up to speed limits, obviously without being too agressive with it.
Was using this video to explain to someone how the Module 1 works - very good video. I'm due to take this damned test for the third time in November. The whole artificiality of it makes me freak out badly.
I passed my Mod 1 the other day with no faults and now I have to wait a week to do my Mod 2. Videos like this definitely helped because theyballowrd me to practice on my 125cc in car parks to get used to the movements
+Madeleine Gillett nice one mate, glad it's helping people. Congrats too mate, you'll be fine on the Mod 2, just ride like you would on the road. Be practicing your shoulder and mirror checks and when on the test keep an eye for speed limits and read those road signs. Good luck mate, let me know how you get on.
Hi I had to take my Mod 1 test today in the blazing heat. It didn't go well. after the figure of 8 he asked me to line up for the slow ride. But then he bluntly told me to put the bike in neutral turn it off put the stand down and get off the bike. No explanation as to why the test routine was being changed! I assumed I'd made a majoy mistke, paniced and ended up missing the stand and dropping the bike. I was thern told I'd failed the test. I pushed the bike back and was told that my test has been stopped at the slow ride because the speed trap eqipment wasn't working because of the extreme heat. I asked why it wasn't checked first, upon which the examiner got angry. Eventually, I was told that my test was being classified as a termination, not a fail, and I would be refunded my test fee. That meant that I could rebook without waith for 3 days, bur there's no slots To be honest I feel messed about. I officially didn't fail, but I believe the EXAMINER did!! We get penalised for not checking a mirror or, lifesaver, but it is Ok for them to start a test without chacking the speed trap set up befor starting a test LOL. VERY DISAPPOINED!!
That's a shame bud, but at least you get to go again without being charged extra, not great that your mistake was brought on by the heat and confusion of the instructors actions. Totally understand your frustration, but try and keep positive, the heatwave will be over in a day or two, and you'll get to go again, put it down to extra and free training. Good luck next time bud 👍
I really enjoyed watching this. I’ve finally plucked up the courage to go for my full licence and have both parts booked up for the end of the month. Thanks for the first person view and helpful tips.
Great video.. great run thru.. thanks for uploading... I have been riding in America for decades, but unfortunately, the U.S. doesn’t have a good test like these Mods, so anyone can just buy motorcycles and ride, which is ridiculous...at least it was like that years ago, not sure now... I think tHE CBT and these 2 mods are excellent for getting riders the strong fundamentals they need to learn to ride well and stay safe on the roads.... I just completed my CBT and have been practicing these skills and hopefully taking my MoD1 in the beginning of 2022... I have been scouring TH-cam and watching these videos over and over.. came across yours yesterday. You did a great job explaining everything... I was glad to see the sequence of events, because I wasn’t quite sure.... Thanks very much and congrats....
I think it is still the same in the states, but they can do the MSF course, but I'm sure it's not compulsory. I'm glad you felt my video was good, and helpful, good luck with the test. Sorry to reply so late but your comment was put up for review for some reason and I barely check that section as it's quite rare any do on my channel.
I remember going a little quicker during one of my practice sessions at the test centre and scraping peg on the big sweeping 180 😅 In my defence, the MT-07 scrapes kinda early
Thanks for a great video. The best Mod 1 video I've seen so far, and I've watched loads. I've got my Mod 1 in 5 days. My traing day is tomorrow. I'm going to be watching this repeatedly until the day of my test.
The man on my test failed me because my front wheel was an inch or so past the cones on the last exercise. I heard you mention that it's OK to have it before or slightly in the middle with the front wheel but that wasn't allowed in my case. Makes me want to go to another test centre.
Sorry to hear mate, it's been too long since doing mine to really understand where and why you were failed. If you feel it was wrong ask your instructors, they will know if the test instructor was being fair or not, you shouldn't fail on just one mistake alone, unless it is quite a serious mistake. You'll do it next time I'm sure, put this one behind you and don't let it effect you on the next one.
Didn't look both ways on the manual handling when the bike was out of its space. I thought that would be a fail. Also doing all the mirror checks on the controlled stop is overkill I think.
@@CrescendoEvents 😂 why not! This video was put together from my practice day as I was told they would not allow me to record it. I passed with zero faults, but if I hadn't looked around quite enough during the manual handling (haven't watched through this in years so can't comment on whether I did or not at that time), I doubt it would be a fail, probably just a minor fault.
Yeah mate, done mine with Top Notch Training, both good training centres. Good luck with yours mate, just try your best to stay calm and enjoy it. I done the CB500 test ride from CJ Ball, pity about the audio on that one, use subtitles if you do watch it 😅
@@HalfdeadRider I hope this rain lays off a bit that's all the Zack from CJ Balls Honda training took me round the Norwich test centre on Saturday it hopefully will all come together on the day. Cheers mate...good to see it was the same centre as well lol
If you want to get out on some group rides at some point, join Nelson's Bikers UK on Facebook. We have riders of all ages and experience and even 125's on some rides. Major rides are probably over until spring but will get out from time to time for small rides. Some of my latest vids are big rides, and small evening rides 👍
Very informative and I'll be on the same test course so, knowing the layout will really help. It looks pretty simple and seems relaxed although I'm sure I'll be nervous, everyone gets butterflies in test situations. Well done for passing your Mod 1!
+One Wheel Drive Knowing the course should help a little, you will get to practice quite a lot and doing it the same day as your practice session should be a bonus. Just take your time, there is no rush or time limit and remember mirror and shoulder checks before and after any exercise. Good luck mate.
I still have mine, and a Lamb Chop Rides one too, from when I met him. I don't have them with my key anymore though. Good luck with the test, I'm sure you will be fine. Thanks for watching 👍
Excellent news you've passed your MOD1! I've got mine on Wednesday, only thing I'm worried about is the manual handling part. Good luck for your MOD2!!
I did mine the other day but fluffed getting it into neutral so I just left it in first and pulled the clutch in when moving the bike. No minors for doing that.
+salthegal Awesome, well done, managed the manual handling then lol. Mine is at the end of August, they are busy and I can only do Tuesday's, Thursday's and weekend's, can't wait but at the same time I'm in no rush, it will take a while to save for a big bike anyway. Good luck with yours, probably get yours done before me.
Thank you for this, i passed my mod 1 today thanks to this video. I crashed on my mod 1 the first time so im super happy that i passed. Thanks once again
well this is awesome! Watching this as i come up for my mod1 test on friday with top notch! those mt07s are wonderful and even a little torquey for an a2 compliant bike!
@@cxnnxrjxy You mean when coming to a stop? If I remember right you don't brake for the avoidance, only when coming to a stop at the cones, it's been a while for me now. Try and keep relaxed and take your time to think each exercise through, there is no time limit. And keep doing those mirror and shoulder checks, even when the test is over.
@@HalfdeadRider no issues going fast enough for emergency breaking, but for the avoidance i always approach it and drop my speed just before the yellow cones to get around. Nasty habit😂 Passed a mock at the end of training yesterday, so here’s to hoping. As you trained on one and also owned the er6f, would you say mt-07 or er6n for a first bike?:)
@@cxnnxrjxy Trust the bike 😁 Either bike should be a great starter bike, the ER6's give a good punch still although a little smaller capacity. Go for what is either cheaper or what you prefer the looks of if money isn't to much of an issue.
+T D Well done mate, it is easy to do but for some people the nerves get the better of them and they make mistakes. That's why I try and get people to try and take deep breaths and to try their best to relax and enjoy it.
@@HalfdeadRider thanks. It just I only have been on a motorbike once and that was on my CBT Saturday. My instructor said he reckons I can pass my a2 but I'm still nervous because it's £670
They are not a great training centre if you are not getting training. The £670 should pay for a two or three day course. First you should be training for your Mod 1 most of the day then do the test at the end of that day. The next will be for Mod 2 (on road), with the test at the end. If you fail you should just have to pay test fees, Mod 1 is or was £15 Mod 2 is around £60-70 if I remember right. I done mine over a few months, two hour lesson every couple of weeks with Mod 1 + 2 being a few weeks apart.
Yea that's enough, the more you go through the day the more used to controlling the bike you'll get, it's the best way to do it if you can. Being relaxed is the key to control, they should teach that more to new riders, grip the tank with your legs and a loose grip and relaxed arms.

Halfdead Rider I had my Mod1 practice and it didn’t go great lol. I wasn’t going fast enough, when I did I was going to fast. also before I was going through the speed trap I would pull my clutch in and front and back brake. he said after the speed trap use your front and back break to slow the bike down, then use your clutch closer to the stop. wasn’t as easy as I thought lol. also on the Uturn I put my foot down” grhhhhhh
+sam macca I did not know there was a speed limit lol you should really only use the front brake until you almost stop, use the rear just before bringing the clutch in. Don't use the rear brake at all during the emergency stop. As for the U-turn, get up to 5-6 mph use the clutch biting point and look where you want to be and be brave, you won't fall. Good luck with it 👍
i use to ride my dads old 175 around the garages i should of done it years ago back in 2005 when i passed my car test i had a test ride on a 600 cc bike and moving around the cones was easy looking wear you need to go was easy there said 3 days training js all i need but 700 plus 2oo bike hire on top to me thats two much so im searching for a cheaper way but good video let us know how mode 2 goes keep up the good work
It is expensive and they want people to do like six hours training befor each test, no matter how good they are. It will be nice to get it all over with though, mod 2 at the end of August, bit of a wait but it will soon come.
Halfdead Rider oh, no I don't even ride bikes haha. My fiance is really into them, so I like to watch videos to understand what it's all about 😂 keep up the videos! :)

before Mod2 test. we can’t ride above 35kw motorcycle bike in street but your ride motor bike to Mod test . my question is Can we ride own motorbike to MOD1 testing centre?
@@Roy750 You'll be fine, you've got enough experience now or they would not book you in. Focus on relaxing before each exercise, there is no time limit, the more relaxed you feel the easier it will be. Have you done your practice session for Mod 1 yet?
@@HalfdeadRider not done any sessions yet. Got mod 1 in a couple of days. I've been practicing on quiet roads and I know I can do all the manoeuvres on my 125 but only had about 15 mins on a 650 so that's what's got me worried. I definitely need to try to stay calm. Fingers crossed :)
@@Roy750 You should do at least a full day's training before hand, I done mine differently, I done a two hour lesson every other week for two months then Mod1, then the same again then Mod2. You usually get the whole thing done in two-three days when you do the DAS.
Hi ive got a 125cc at the moment passed my cbt last year and was ummin and aring about going for my test and just doing my cbt every 2 years, but im now thinking about my bike test, In order to ride a 600cc do you have to pass both module 1 and 2, im only asking because ive no idea and i have no intention on getting a bigger bike than a 600cc but if you have to do both after watching these videos its sought of put my mind at rest, because it doesn't seem that hard thanks in advance 👍
Yes you have to do Mod 1 and Mod 2, Mod 2 is the on road test, just a short ride with instructions and a portion where you are asked to follow a certain route from road signs. It is definitely worth doing, a bigger bike is much better, and in some ways safer. Good luck mate 👍
Great video! 👍 I have my Mod1 test is on Feb 8th. 2018, how long does Mod1 last for? my friend passed and said it’s not as hard as he thought it was, any tips?
sam macca thanks mate glad you enjoyed the video, the only tips I can give you are in the video, stay as calm as possible and enjoy it 👍 Although it does not guarantee a pass keep watching mine and others videos over and over, I think that really helped in my practice session and helped me be more relaxed and ready for it. As you can see from these videos it takes no time at all, I show all of the test, also with slowed down replay parts to give me time to explain. As I say, take deep breaths before each exercise because it really helps you with calming nerves and keeping relaxed, nerves can cause you to tense up and make mistakes. Keep telling yourself you have nothing to be nervous about, you can ride a bike you can do it 👍
+Rodney Fisher nice mate, fun though isn't it. Use plenty of room to get back round, keep your speed to 6-8mph and you should be good. Keep watching vids to help, including mine lol 😉 good luck with it.
the people who are showing me said im doing wrong the finger of 8 the wrong way im using the clutch to hold up on the speed but he said to cover my back brake at all times witch i was surprised about case i always use the clutch only for the slow ride and finger of 8 but all the rest is good was i say your video as helped loads keep up the good work the road ride was easy for me he pointer out i was only using 3 fingers on the front brake i never noticed but he did lol ill let you know how i get on mate next week
+Rodney Fisher Well done mate, feels great right 😁. Just remember you mirror and shoulder checks and keep good distance from traffic and you should be good for MOD 2 👍
The best way is to ride the clutch (just on the biting point) and a some throttle to use the giro effect to steady the bike. It's easier to control the speed that way too, 5-6 mph was the speed I was told to aim for, I hope it helps and good luck 👍🍀
@@Audit_Reactions 689cc MT-07, my first ever lesson is on here if that interests you? just get some munch ready or skip through it, it's quite a long vid.
Very useful video. Thanks. Quick question: can you do your MOD 1 test on a 125 or does it have to be a bigger bike? From the official literature, it seems that you have to do it on a bigger bike but I just wanted to make sure. Thanks.
Glad you find the video useful, thanks for watching and commenting. Yea, you have to do it on a big bike, don't worry about that though, they are easier to ride than you might think. They may start you off on a 125 for a few hours, then move you up if you do your DAS at the same time as your CBT. Good luck and enjoy the process 👍
@@HalfdeadRider great info. Thanks. I’ve only spent a day on a bike but I loved it. Got my CBT last week and passed my theory on Tuesday. Planning to just go straight into DAS training for three days and then do the two tests. Can’t wait!

Cheers mate, I'm good, how are you (apart from pissed off with prius taxi drivers ;). Yep well worth getting a camera, send the worst clips to the police, take the license off these ignorant pricks. I don't know why but taxi drivers are some of the worst, with the ammount of time they spend on the roads they should spot and avoid hazards including bikes withought even knowing it.

21st August for all day training then test on the morning of the 22nd. I'm really looking forward to it, hopefully it will be dry as I did pretty much all of my mod 1 training in heavy rain. Good luck with your test mate, I look forward to your next video.
You will do yours before me then, I have my next lesson on the day you do your test then another lesson between then and my test on the 29th. Good luck with yours too mate.
It's possible, but you generally are going a little slower that way, 5-6 mph is a good speed to be at in the cones and on the figure of eight (especially to new riders). Riding the clutch, and a tiny bit of throttle steadies the bike and controls the speed, this makes slow manoeuvres much easier/more controlled.
@@HalfdeadRider Also depends on the bike. When I done my Mod 1 I used a bike that done 8mph without throttle. An incredibly easy bike to do this type of test on
@@Alpha-wu5qx Must have set the idle slightly to high, just as stunt riders do just not quite as much. No learner legal bike, even the MT-07 I was on (almost 700cc) should be able to do more than 3-4 MPH on idle only. Plus as I previously said, to be 'more' steady on slow manoeuvres, you need to ride the clutch with a little throttle. This makes use of the engines gyroscopic effect and you control the speed with the clutch and a light touch of rear brake. Although the rear brake is not needed it can and does help. Otherwise you will not learn how to control a bike correctly and as easily as possible at low speeds, it's why the test is designed this way. Anyway thanks for watching although you did not need to 👍
@@HalfdeadRider This was awhile ago. The bike was a WK 650i, fuel injected Chinese bike. Was a long ride to the test centre and while not the best its not the worst bike. But yeah 8mph no throttle. Thought your video was good, have forwarded it to my missus who is going for her big bike test. Shes not long passed her CBT so just wanted to show her really that its not as scary as it seems if she does her lessons and remembers to do her checks. Your video is very informative on this! We have a small motorcycle workshop so be nice to have her on the road with me, however terrified I am at the idea of her on a bike at all
@@Alpha-wu5qx Yea bikes used now, MT'-07s, XJ6N's, ER6N's and similar will not get near 8mph on idle unless you raise it. Tell your missus I said have fun and good luck. Good luck with the business, are you local? I'm Norfolk.
You should only need to do the mod 2 again I would think, ask your instructed to be sure. But the Mod 2 is relatively easy, it's just a ride on the road, he will direct you mostly, at one point telling you to follow the signs to a certain place/area. They usually get you to pull over to make sure you do it safe, and pull away safely, sometimes as with me, on a bend. Just make sure you read the road signs, use any bus lanes that you are allowed, and not the ones you shouldn't of course. And obviously keep to speed limits and do lots of mirror checks and life savers, as you will on mod 1 also. Good luck 👍 Try to relax and enjoy it.
Do you not think all this is a bit much, it's the only thing that puts me off doing my bike test and just sticking with my ktm, the price of the test is ridiculous
Yea I don't see why they can't just give you a few lessons on and off road and when they feel you ride well enough give you your licence, some will need more than others. No real need for the stress of tests. See if you can book just the tests if you feel you can pass them, Mod one alone is only £15, Mod two is £65 or £75.
Yep thats for all the lessons and both tests (DAS (Direct Access)),. I said see if you can book the tests seperate without any lessons, the Mod one if £15, Mod Two is £75, if you can book them on their own somehow and even if you don't pass first time you could save a fair bit. Only worth doing if you are experienced though and if it is possible of course.
+mark hill I think it 'should' be possible, you need to find out if you can somehow book them separate as its worth going straight for mod 1 at least, if you fail two times its still less than one two hour lesson. Do some research online and contact some local training centres to see if it is possible. You could also do it like me and do a lesson every couple of weeks to spread the cost. I could no way afford the DAS straight out.
Hi .tomorrow I'm doing all day 125cc training b4 progressing on to DAS. I know it's December and freezing cold but hey lol . How many hours would you say needed to be test ready? The bike school keep dodging that question. I mean is it like a CAR? Once A week for a few months ? .
WOW! a comment from the future lol ;) That is a good question, the reason they are avoiding the question is because it can depend on the individual, some people learn faster than others. You will likely do 6-8 hours before Mod1 and then the same again before Mod2. If you can afford it, it is worth booking your DAS in one go, usually done over a couple of days or so, as you get to be on the bike for longer in one go getting your confidence up. I could not afford it so I done a two hour lesson every two weeks, third one being test day. Don't worry about it being cold or even if it gets rainy, the bikes still handle very well in these conditions. Key to doing well is to try your best to relax and enjoy it every step of the way and you should be fine, good luck with it mate.
Hey thanks for the reply. It's a funny world. I lost my dad last year and have fond memories looking at bikes with him .he didn't ride one as he was always broke but we still chatting about different ones. I sold the house my nan had left to him and I have a good job .divorced many years now .I did the cbt and was hooked however I'm 6"2 and this Chinese bike was tiny I mean I felt like coco the clown without the circus music . So I went to see the local yamaha dealer just to see if im to tall to ride .No point continuing if all bikes are that awkward. Anyway there I fell in love with a tracer 700 demo bike 17 plate . I went home looked on line couldn't beat the deal this guy was offering on this bike . Rang him back and said ok deal . Long and short of it .the bikes in the garage I look at it everyday lol I'm not gonna tell the school because initially they told me a fool buys a bike b4 licence but I could almost see my dad walking around this bike smiling . I just hope it doesn't take forever now to pass all theses tests . Thanks for your video it's helped no end . I didn't no the emergency stop was front brake first. Cheers fella keep posting .
+Julian Morgan That's a nice but sad story at the same time, he would be proud I'm sure. It's only a problem buying a bike first if it makes you put yourself under more pressure to pass. Just do what you can, take those deep breaths to calm the nerves and enjoy yourself. If you ever come to Norfolk once you pass your test, send me a message and we could go for a ride. Hope to have a big bike next year, can't afford one yet, got my license and no bike opposed to you lol well still got my 125
Hey Halfdeadrider, your posts on mod 1 helped a lot so thanks for that, unfortunately you can't teach speed, too slow on emergency stop, had two go's at it but no good, in fact I can't believe how slow I was (43) so 1st attempt failed but will try again.
Don't give up bud, you will get there. It is tough to remember and put it into practice, without practice, but try and keep your speed up around the back (22-25 mph), then as you straighten up and go through the cones open the throttle and 50 kph should not be a problem. Good luck :)
Halfdead Rider I am booking my DAS this week. I had a quick go on the mod 1 training with a wank instructor which was going mad at me because I was going to fast or too slow through the speed trap which he made me feel uncomfortable so fucked him off! any tips mate?
The advise I was given for that was to go around the bend at about 20mph or just over then just twist the throttle a decent amount as you straighten up just before the speed trap, you should get more than enough speed. There should not be a top end limit but you won't go too fast either. Tell your DAS instructor about this experience, he should give you tips and reassure you, you should also get to practice again just before the Mod 1. Good luck mate
With hindsight I would have left it off this video as I knew it would be popular before I made it, it was just what I used on all my usual motovlogs, personal preference hey, at least it was just a small clip to get through.
Excellent mate really enjoyed that just a normal guy the little chuckle is brilliant
Thanks mate, glad you liked it 👍 Good luck if you are doing yours soon.
I remember going a little quicker during one of my practice sessions at the test centre and scraping peg on the big sweeping 180 😅
In my defence, the MT-07 scrapes kinda early
Thanks for a great video. The best Mod 1 video I've seen so far, and I've watched loads. I've got my Mod 1 in 5 days. My traing day is tomorrow. I'm going to be watching this repeatedly until the day of my test.
I'm glad you think so, thanks 👍
Enjoy it and good luck!

Update passed mod 2 today thanks for the video tips
That's awesome, well done mate, enjoy and stay safe 👍
Well done my friend nice video to give a birds eye view of the mod 1. Invaluable if your training or actually doing the test.
Thanks bud, really appreciate your comment. I hope it helps out if you're doing your test, and good luck too!
😂 good luck 😎👍
@@HalfdeadRider Cheers lol, got my mod 1 tomorrow, I'm looking at all these mod 1 tests & pointing out the errors ha
@@HalfdeadRider I passed today, only just. Funny thing is I got 3 minors, one was forgetting observations after the emergency stop. I shit you not lol

I'm sure you'll do it just fine mate, good luck 🤞
I see you did it in Norwich. Got my test Tuesday. Practice tomorrow with cjball. Fingers crossed. Well done on your pass!
Yeah mate, done mine with Top Notch Training, both good training centres. Good luck with yours mate, just try your best to stay calm and enjoy it. I done the CB500 test ride from CJ Ball, pity about the audio on that one, use subtitles if you do watch it 😅

Sorry I missed this two years back, I hope you figured it out and got your license.
Thank you for the very useful video ! Very helpful. Bossshhhhh!
@@HalfdeadRider thanks! I’m just a little worried about getting up to speed for the avoidance, I break so early💀

@@HalfdeadRider I've paid 670 for 2 days training, mod 1 and 2. Training is 8:30-4:30. Hope that's enough
Yea that's enough, the more you go through the day the more used to controlling the bike you'll get, it's the best way to do it if you can. Being relaxed is the key to control, they should teach that more to new riders, grip the tank with your legs and a loose grip and relaxed arms.
Well done mate
Was a long time ago now, thanks though 😎👍

Good luck with it 👍
hi great video iv been doing this for years on my 125 so really for me the only diffidence for me is a bigger bike
+Rodney Fisher you would do it with ease then. Riding these bikes is really easy and fun. You should do it 👍
i use to ride my dads old 175 around the garages i should of done it years ago back in 2005 when i passed my car test i had a test ride on a 600 cc bike and moving around the cones was easy looking wear you need to go was easy there said 3 days training js all i need but 700 plus 2oo bike hire on top to me thats two much so im searching for a cheaper way but good video let us know how mode 2 goes keep up the good work
It is expensive and they want people to do like six hours training befor each test, no matter how good they are. It will be nice to get it all over with though, mod 2 at the end of August, bit of a wait but it will soon come.
Great video I have my mod 1 on Saturday so thanks!

Hi ive got a 125cc at the moment passed my cbt last year and was ummin and aring about going for my test and just doing my cbt every 2 years, but im now thinking about my bike test,
In order to ride a 600cc do you have to pass both module 1 and 2, im only asking because ive no idea and i have no intention on getting a bigger bike than a 600cc but if you have to do both after watching these videos its sought of put my mind at rest, because it doesn't seem that hard thanks in advance 👍
2018, how long does Mod1 last for? my friend passed and said it’s not as hard as he thought it was, any tips?
sam macca thanks mate glad you enjoyed the video, the only tips I can give you are in the video, stay as calm as possible and enjoy it 👍
Although it does not guarantee a pass keep watching mine and others videos over and over, I think that really helped in my practice session and helped me be more relaxed and ready for it.
As you can see from these videos it takes no time at all, I show all of the test, also with slowed down replay parts to give me time to explain.
As I say, take deep breaths before each exercise because it really helps you with calming nerves and keeping relaxed, nerves can cause you to tense up and make mistakes. Keep telling yourself you have nothing to be nervous about, you can ride a bike you can do it 👍
hi mate i did my mod1 lesson to day the only thing i need help with i the figer of 8 but all the rest is good
+Rodney Fisher nice mate, fun though isn't it.
+Rodney Fisher Yea let me know. Some instructors swear by it some say you don't need to, do what you are most comfortable with on the day.
Hi I pass my mod1 today with the 4,minors. Thanks for the help mate my mod2, is next week, great video, it help me loads
+Rodney Fisher Well done mate, feels great right 😁. Just remember you mirror and shoulder checks and keep good distance from traffic and you should be good for MOD 2 👍
Were you holding the clutch in on the slalom and figure of 8 because it looked very slow. Disengaged then reapplied it??
The best way is to ride the clutch (just on the biting point) and a some throttle to use the giro effect to steady the bike. It's easier to control the speed that way too, 5-6 mph was the speed I was told to aim for, I hope it helps and good luck 👍🍀
@@HalfdeadRider ok cheers, what cc was this bike?

Glad you find the video useful, thanks for watching and commenting.
Yea, you have to do it on a big bike, don't worry about that though, they are easier to ride than you might think. They may start you off on a 125 for a few hours, then move you up if you do your DAS at the same time as your CBT. Good luck and enjoy the process 👍
@@HalfdeadRider great info. Thanks. I’ve only spent a day on a bike but I loved it. Got my CBT last week and passed my theory on Tuesday. Planning to just go straight into DAS training for three days and then do the two tests. Can’t wait!
You can do the MOD 1 on a 125cc but then your bike licence will only allow you to ride a 125cc maximum.

Congratulations on passing. When's the Mod 2?
Thanks mate :) My mod 2 is at the end of August, when is yours?
21st August for all day training then test on the morning of the 22nd. I'm really looking forward to it, hopefully it will be dry as I did pretty much all of my mod 1 training in heavy rain. Good luck with your test mate, I look forward to your next video.
You will do yours before me then, I have my next lesson on the day you do your test then another lesson between then and my test on the 29th. Good luck with yours too mate.
Congratulations mate. How was the theory test for you did you find that easy
Cheers mate :) Yea I did, I should do though as I've passed my driving test many years ago and I done a lot of mock tests.
Doing the figure of 8 dont use the accelerator AT ALL let the clutch out and that's it .
If you pass Mod1 but fail Mod2 what happens?
Good luck 👍
Try to relax and enjoy it.
If you're applying for your full licence (A) can you do mod 1 on a 125cc or must it be >595cc?
It has to be on the 600+cc bike, I done it on the MT-07 689cc. They will ease you in to it and you'll soon find they are not to hard to ride.
Halfdead Rider where I live it's around £600 and that's without having to pay for any resits or anything, just think it's a bit over the top
Halfdead Rider ah right I didn't know that buddy I've been riding bikes for 9 years so you reckon I could do it for a lot less?
Once A week for a few months ? .
WOW! a comment from the future lol ;)
That is a good question, the reason they are avoiding the question is because it can depend on the individual, some people learn faster than others.
Hope to have a big bike next year, can't afford one yet, got my license and no bike opposed to you lol well still got my 125
i didn't think a dealership would sell a big bike to someone without a licence
Hey Halfdeadrider, your posts on mod 1 helped a lot so thanks for that, unfortunately you can't teach speed, too slow on emergency stop, had two go's at it but no good, in fact I can't believe how slow I was (43) so 1st attempt failed but will try again.
Don't give up bud, you will get there. It is tough to remember and put it into practice, without practice, but try and keep your speed up around the back (22-25 mph), then as you straighten up and go through the cones open the throttle and 50 kph should not be a problem. Good luck :)
Can I have some advice please?
Ask and I'll try and answer as best I can matr
Halfdead Rider have you passed your Mod1 / 2? mate
Yes, done mine last August
I’m sure this is the Norwich site
It is mate 👍

Sounds good mate, you already have a bike?
@@HalfdeadRider yep :) going for full test soon :)
Nice, good luck with it, let me know how it goes 👍
shame about the intro music
With hindsight I would have left it off this video as I knew it would be popular before I made it, it was just what I used on all my usual motovlogs, personal preference hey, at least it was just a small clip to get through. I did later change my intro, and these days I don't bother with one at all. Thanks for watching anyway and good luck 👍
@@HalfdeadRider all good buddy, safe riding and take care
