  • A Film By Barry Godin - A Welsh Adventure - Day 2 Bikepacking up Cadair Idris
    After spending the morning at the Coed Y Brenin, which in case you didn't see it find part 1 - • Riding the first ever ... , We back our bags with our camping kit and set off up Cadair Idris. As per usual we were behind schedule, so when you crested the col two thirds of the way up it was dark. So we decided to camp there, and then leave the camping stuff behind a rock and summit in the morning and ride the top section with lighter bags, and grab the kit for the rest of the descent.
    We woke to the most spectacular morning and the weather was sublime, fluffy clouds drifting over the summit. We did meet at the top the most friendly sheep we have ever met, who rapidly became the most aggressive sheep we had ever met. Whilst Andy was trying to came a Chorizo bab, he started ramming him and finally grabbed half of Andys sandwich and run away, most entertaining
    Tune in for Part 3 for when summit Snowdon

    Great movie Barry and yet again well done with the drone footage. The clouds did add something extra as too normal drone shots. Looking forward to part 3.

    Walked up Cader a few times when I was a teenager cycle touring. Remember reading a book that said:
    "Anyone who spends the night on the summit of Cader Idris, wakes up next morning, either a madman or a poet !" Well, enjoyed your poetry, with such nice views. There used to be a small wooden hut on the summit, probably been gone many years. Great videos. All best, MS ( Scotland Bikepacker)

      Haha, I think we are a little mad already to want to camp up there :-) Yes there is still an emergency shelter at the top, no door, but more than enough if it all went horribly wrong :-)

    Awesome. I love the drone footage in the clouds. That is mystic. You went up the same way we did. And that descent…I loved all that loose shake up there. Riding that is a state of mind. Possibly my favourite film in you growing catalogue

      @barrygodin7538  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Robert! I am so glad you enjoyed it that much! Yes rather proud of some of those drone shots! Yeah that top section was incredible to ride, super big boulders to smash through, was more pick a line and hang on :-) But you wait until tomorrow, my Snowdon film will be out, you may have a new favorite :-)
