    Thanks so much...love learning new techniques! I'm rather new to Photoshop, but if I keep starting and stopping your video I can figure it out! Did you end up including a gradient map base action? I'll make my own otherwise :)

    Gradient map is super useful tool. Especially with soft light blending mode for color grading. It wasn't shown in this video, but try it out if you didn't! Set the gradient map to soft light mode and play with the colors on the both black and white ends. It's awesome for color grading. Go play!

    Hi Michael, perhaps I am missing something but I don't understand why adding two extra control points (which just adjust black & white clipping points) give you any different result that that which you would get by just adjusting the black & white points to the same positions. Can you elaborate?

    • @MichaelWoloszynowicz
      @MichaelWoloszynowicz  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's so that you can better fine tune where the transition happens. If you slide the end points you are stuck with a cutoff of black or white, whereas with the points you can add whatever shade of grey you would like to have.

    • @TPToE
      @TPToE 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MichaelWoloszynowicz But surely everything to the left and right of your two control points is going to be pure black and pure white? As such, can you please explain how this differs from just dragging the original two black and white points in to the desired amount?

      Not sure which Lightroom sliders you are referring to. I don't know of any sliders in Lightroom or Capture One that achieve a similar effect.

    Never knew about this technique.
    I would love to see a tutorial explaining how is possible to achieve the skin texture from Tamara William's photos (ig: tamarawilliams1). There are pores and texture where I dont think can be so defined naturally!! Already tried everything: D&B, FS... Thank you, and abraços do Brasil!

    • @jayleon07

      Some of the techniques used by high end retouchers include having skin texture samples to add to images and also adding a noise layer on top. I'm not an expert but I hope that helps
