Exactly. He can actually help more people than he ever would have imagined. I am big believer in diet. I actually moved close to a blue zone just to be in an area where I can eat fresh and healthy. At this point he is one of the only people I trust. on the internet. I love watching him.

YOU CAN DOWN LOAD THE AUDIO OF THIS VIDEO FROM THE ISP ADDRESS.
THEN YOU CAN LISTEN ANYTHING INCLUDING HIS MEDICAL OR NATURE VIEWS FROM YOUR DOWNLOADING DOCUMENT IN YOUR CIMPUTER.
I GOT A LOT OF MUSIC in my computer.
You can DIY yourself rather ask him to do potcast for any specific needing group.

Nutrition is important to our bodies, whether it's in illness or health. So, Dr. Goobie is right. Most people are typically counseled by a nurse and/or registered dietician. Yet, even with bone and tissue, diet is essential for optimum healing.@MitchJacob-o1v

I was unexpectedly and very unfairly laid off from my job 3 weeks ago. Yesterday, I watched the video where you told your story (the one with all the mosquitos). I'm not embarrassed to say that I cried. My current situation put me in the space of "what is the point of trying?" and "people don't care about people anymore." Your video lifted that darkness for me. I could go on and on, but I'll just say: Thank you. Thank you for caring and for being genuine and for having the strength to continue to want to make a positive difference not only for yourself, but for others.

I quit 10 weeks later and just took some time off. After a few months I fell into the job I have now which is totally different and I love it.

Hey man, just wanted to say I'm a neurologist in WA state who also believes medicine is on the wrong track, and am trying to figure out how to practice in a better way. I'm working part time only, because I do not want to be bitter, overworked, and angry all the time. I still think I am able to reduce suffering through the work I do. Often times, though, it's through human connection, kindness, presence, reassurance rather than conventional medicine. I'd never heard about these nutrition studies or theories before -- I just graduated from residency a year ago, and the amount of hours I spent learning about nutrition during training was probably only in the double digits. I'll be putting this info to use in my own life, and likely with my own patients too. Take care man, best wishes.

I’m an Internist in the military and ditto to everything you said. Trying to find a way to incorporate real health practices instead of the current system that some of my friends are calling a “sick care model” instead of a “health care model”. This journey has been a long one. But I also will be incorporating these points into my practice and definitely my own life.

Want to leave a note here in response to your story - I have MS and can say with certainty that the one silver lining in my diagnosis and treatment experience was the good luck of being paired with a neurologist who understands the value of a holistic approach, and treats me as a person with complex concerns rather than a machine coming in for a tune up. Really glad to hear you’re taking care of yourself and valuing the things that can help you to be happy and healthy. Helps us all out so much when it ripples outward. Big ups to you and best of luck with everything.

Please ensure you have backups of all your videos and these invaluable lessons, and consider making them available on other platforms as well. Your dedication to spreading awareness and teaching people about true healing through lifestyle changes and proper nutrition is truly commendable.
I encourage you to continue this series of talks, as they have the potential to enlighten and positively impact countless lives. However, I also want to give you a word of caution: history has shown that those who challenge the established norms and strive to educate people on holistic healing are often met with resistance. You may face challenges to your credibility, legal battles, and other obstacles, similar to what happened to Barbara O’Neill and others who have tried to promote natural healing.
Please stay vigilant and protect yourself from any potential setbacks. Your work is valuable and needed. Wishing you strength, protection, and continued success. More power and blessings to you. 😊

I think your timing is good for educating Americans on a proper healthy diet/lifestyle. It seems there's finally many that want to learn how to improve their mental/physical health. I started 5 years ago, 64 now, feel great after suffering a few decades of feeling horrible.

I agree! A large wave of Americans, all across the political and economic spectrum are realizing that diet is the most important thing, and starting to stay away from ultra processed foods. In fact this is affecting the processed food industry market so much that they’ve just had TIME magazine put out a horribly deceptive and propaganda- style article saying how according to their nutritionists, ultra processed foods are actually healthier for you than whole and natural food! Disgusting. They’re losing money so they’re trying to get Americans back on ultra processed crap. They’re even lobbying to get schools to serve process food to kids, since the schools are slowly starting to implement healthier diets for children.
But the tide is turning and I hope will continue to do so in favor of natural and organic unprocessed foods.

This dude is the Bob Ross of health influencers. (That late mellow painter on PBS) Qualified, keeps it simple, soothing voice, drops the jargon without dumbing down what matters, talks to you not at you. I’m someone who spent decades taking pain pills which ended up actually amplifying the agony as they wore off, carrying 60 pounds of extra weight and with worsening spine arthritis that made me at times feel like I didn’t want to live much longer. The pain was a constant six. Nothing acute, just moderate all time for at least a decade. I can tell you that it works. Excercise helped a lot …got me down to a four….but nothing reduced my pain like my diet change to Whole Foods and away from processed junk. No doctor showed me how to do it. Had to learn it on my own. Let’s call it the TH-cam diet. If you are like the former me, you’d do well to listen to this guy. Plus like Bob Ross, you can just fall asleep to his updates and learn something in calming and soothing fashion. Bob Ross was always my go to when I needed to calm down and destress.

🙌🏼 great to hear. There was a documentary on Gaia about treating psychosis / schizophrenia with meds temporary but using vitamins and nutrients to treat long term and make lasting change. Niacin was a key vitamin that was the missing link for a lot of patients.
I personally healed from 30 years of depression (which was very debilitating at times) with a gluten free whole food plant based diet. I follow the doctors mentioned in this video and also learnt that most of our neuochemicals (such as serotonin) start in the gut and are dictated by the foods we eat.
The same diet that helped my depression also helped my asthma and my IBD. From what I’ve read it also helps heart disease and reduces the risk of cancers. So it’s win win win all the way.

👏I’m a practicing pharmacist for more than 20 years. I’d say 70-80% of the drugs I dispensed are related to diet and lifestyle. I’ve read many books and followed many physicians that use foods as medicine to heal the body. Bottom line: diversity of colorful plants , vegetables, legumes, lentils, beans, seeds and limit meats. Cut out all processed foods, sugars, seed oils. Stay active, limit alcohol, do not smoke and stay socially active. Mediterranean diet or people who live in the Blue Zone live the longest. If someone goes vegan, it’s so crucial to take B 12 supplements. So sorry, just sharing with you from what I learned. Keeping going, you’re on the right path!!👏👏👏😊

I work in the emergency department. Medicine has changed so much in the last century - doctors used to be focused on managing diseases, but we conquered a lot of the old diseases. Now half of what I see is illness driven by lifestyle. Obesity, constipation, substance use, alcohol.
So many patients would see improvement to their GERD, sleep apnea, chronic pain, hypertension and fatigue if they cut their calories in half, ate more fruit and vegetables, and picked up an outdoor hobby for exercise. But I don't blame people - I blame our culture of working to death and a system that traps people in a cycle of poverty.

I agree, but are you saying to only cut out seed oils? Some of the plant based doctors I follow (I follow Esselstyn, Greger, McDougall, and Barnard primarily) have said to avoid oils completely, and some have recommended coconut oil to be the worst to consume and canola oil (which I believe is a seed oil) is less detrimental to health. But still I aim for no oils in my diet as much as is practicable. I can’t recall which of the doctors said this but most of them are against all oils in general.

you got it wrong, he for sure never said doctors don't help people, in some cases are necessary and we need good prepared doctors, but a lot of our health in term of prevention is in our hands, bye.

Thank you for sharing this information with us. We’re all so overwhelmed with the various amounts of information about diet that it gets frustrating and confusing. I appreciate how you deliver your research to us as it’s very clear and concise. I very much appreciate your time and effort. Much love and respect to you and I look forward to hearing more from you 😊

Dr. Goobie - Please keep making these heal your body videos. These have been so incredibly helpful to my lifestyle change journey. This is the type of valuable info that Dr.’s never have time to talk with patients about because each visit feels so rushed and you’re having to navigate the health world on your own. Appreciate you not being preachy and also providing the “why” behind the choices we make. Great job!!

These are such great videos. I like that he was so observant with his patients (salt, plants, veggies, etc...) This is also really refreshing that he stayed true to himself. Also, thank you for breaking down that study for us. Studies can be sooooooooooo difficult to weed through. Great summary!

"I'm a person trying to find a way to live that takes care of my whole being and the living beings around me."
There is something so wholesome and gratifying about Gooby speaking from his heart and his current journey. He's communicating from his soul and sharing it with us, it's reaching so many people. In a age of social media, consumerism, competition, toxic politics, this content is what our human souls need. We need nature, we need connections with eachother, we need to find our meaning and purpose in life that has nothing to do with our belongings or houses and cars.

Thank you for sharing you mindful experience about western healthcare and nutrition. As an Asian dentist, I was skeptical about traditional medicine, meal plans as we didnt have enough knowledge about nutrition during medical school. Now I believe that deseases mostly come from our intakes and lifestyles and many people can be healed by herbal medicine and healthy plant based meals

I think you have chosen the best path for your life…..you will have no regrets when you die..Thank-you for sharing your story.

I enjoy your content a lot! I love how your slow paced speech and your way of simplifying concepts allows me to study even while listening to you, and even with english not being my first language!
You would make a great teacher.

My GOD, the contrast between his delivery and laid-back tone compared to that Waterboy quote in the title. Just electric stuff, thanks for all the good you do!
