...wow man you have an amazing voice for a radio show, trust me Im in a radio bussiness for more than 25 years ,haha..great tutorial by the way, regards
sick vid mate there's not many ppl using cubase cuz it's harrrrd aha and it's really nice to see someone make an actually good helpful video on trap, as most of this genre is made on FL or Logic.
Nice video. I'm not into Trap but I find some of the technique useful. If I ever need to do this style of track it will that much easier now. The vid is direct to the point, demo is clear easy to reproduce without fishing around. Well done.
Thanks dude, glad to hear it's helpful! Sampler track has a lot of uses as well for like vocal chops and other such things, I definitely need to get into using it more. Very powerful!
Hey brother I just seen you video. Do you make drums or beats to sale? I have a track that has drums but I would like someone to redo the drums differently.
Hey dude! Yep, exactly! So these are absorption panels, and the big triangle blocks in the corner act as bass traps. You can get these on Amazon, however, it's best to check the reviews to make sure they're dense, and also fire rated. I have 12x12x2 panels from Auralex, and some generic ones from amazon to fill in some other gaps I needed covered. Bass traps are Amazon as well. As for placement, there's a bunch of guides out there! Basically, any point where sound reflects at ear level is the place to start, and bass traps should start in the corners. watch?v=I3q5kQjMAbc is a good general overview.
Glad it was helpful! As for the track itself, this was just created for the sake of a tutorial and not really something I ever finished or saved haha. For the vocal sample, I have no idea unfortunately. If I had to guess, I probably got it somewhere on Reddit's Drumkits subreddits in some random sample pack as that's where I used to get a lot of my drums and random samples from haha.
Not sure if I can run these new 64-bit versions. My setup is ..... A TRS-80 running the only original analog copy of Windows 1.0x that uses a modified Laser Disc turntable hooked up to play in reverse only at 2400rpms writing to RW Laser Discs spliced thru an 8 track cassette deck writing to a floppy diskette that's my Thunderbolt Equivalent audio interface while still maintaining that rich pure analog format. Damn you, Cubase and your little digital friends!!! If I go ahead and upgrade my memory from 4Kb to 12Kb, I think it will take on 64 bit no problems. People wanna say that my headphones aren't true reference but Sony Walkman are the best on the market. Nothing like an open back design with original noise cancelling technology from built in. It took Cubase all the way to version 9.5 to add another 8 slots for plugins when all I had to do was add another power strip to my 8 plug power strip that has a surge protector as well!!! Way to go Cubase for being ahead of the curve by light years and thinking outside the box...Your welcome for that pro tip advice on getting more plugins the fast way.
hahaha best comment ever. But yeah the extra 8 slots took them wayyyyy too long. For how feature packed Cubase is, sometimes it's missing really obvious things. Hopefully 10 gives me the rest of my wishlist!
For sure, insanely powerful tool I always forget to use. Been getting a lot more into it lately though after making this video. Maybe someday they'll bring the other Grooveagent features into sampler track, that'd be dope!
Groove Agent is much superior for most scenarios, only pro of Sampler Track: pitch / chromatic play of drums / percussion. But you can not even do most rudimentary things like slicing a sample in Sampler Track.
Haha glad to hear it. I try to offer pretty detailed explanations of everything, as people tend to complain in the comments when I don't break down all the gory details.
Duuuuddeee! you should go for National Geographic or something bcz your Voice is just sickkkkkkkk
Haha thanks, Voiceover work is part of my day job actually!
a tip : you can watch movies at flixzone. I've been using them for watching a lot of movies during the lockdown.
@Dakota Oakley Yea, I've been using Flixzone} for months myself :)
@Dakota Oakley Definitely, I have been using Flixzone} for years myself =)
Dope video bro 🔥🔥🔥
...wow man you have an amazing voice for a radio show, trust me Im in a radio bussiness for more than 25 years ,haha..great tutorial by the way, regards
Haha thanks dude. Glad you liked the video!
That end song is fookin BANANAS! 🥴🙂
I spent longer than I'd like to admit on it
I imagine your súper commercial voice in a Mercedes Benz ad saying “ buy a Mercedes....just ‘cause ! “ and I’m surely would go for it !!! Jajajaja
Haha thanks.
Great Job bruh that makes creating your trax a lot deeper 3D and all those cool elements definitely are a be help in Sample trax Big Ups!!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks so much for all your content. I vote for Zynaptiq Morph 2 Sound Design tutorial next!
No problem at all, it's what I'm here for! I don't have the plugin, but I'll note this down and grab the trial of it. Looks super neat!
Nice video thanks
Love your voice
Haha glad to hear it

For sure haha, Cubase definitely isn't as popular as it should be!
Nice tut man, another thing you can do with Haas effect s use native steinberg plugins, such as Mixer Delay or Stereo Delay !
Yep for sure! That or by duplicating the track and offsetting it in the inspector is another fast way!
couldnt agree more. nice one
This is why Cubase is dope though, there's soooooo many ways to do stuff haha. Take that, Ableton!
Since 9.5, Cubase is now god. We even have the sampler track, last thing we need is Max4Live and we're done haha!
That's way easier than trying to separate the automation of each "track" within Grove Agent. Thanks for the video!
Glad you liked it! And for sure, I think it's a bit of an underrated gem in Cubase!

Love that sub!
Thanks! I've shown a few tips and tricks here on the channel for how I make my 808/bass sounds!
*I really love this and I'm using it right now*
Glad it was helpful!
I tip my hat to you for this one..
Haha thanks. Fedora approved.
Good job ... Thanks for the tutorial. How did you do the bass drum and how can you make the bass drum beat longer?
Yo! I have some tutorials on my channel about synthesizing drums if you want to learn to make your own!
Hey brother I just seen you video. Do you make drums or beats to sale? I have a track that has drums but I would like someone to redo the drums differently.
Are those pads on your wall for acoustic purposes? Where can you get these and is there any tips in terms of their placement?

so much good info in here thanks!! i would love to hear the whole thing. sounds so good! where did you get those samples/vocals (track 14)?
Glad it was helpful! As for the track itself, this was just created for the sake of a tutorial and not really something I ever finished or saved haha. How do you make your hi hasta sound like that? What’s the quantize settings?
Yo! In this case it's probably up to 32nd notes in some areas to get the really quick rolls.
Voice man!
I constantly sound like a car commercial haha
How do u get the samplers?
Yo! Sampler track was added in Cubase 9, so if you don't have 9+ you'd need to upgrade to access that

Took me a long time as well to move from Groove Agent to the sampler track. It's just much more flexible.
For sure, insanely powerful tool I always forget to use. Been getting a lot more into it lately though after making this video. Maybe someday they'll bring the other Grooveagent features into sampler track, that'd be dope!

does a tutorial on how to make wave trap lead on sylenth1 or serum
Hey dude! I'll have a video out on wave leads really soon, sometime next week!
ooooooooooooooohhhh fUCK
I have two reference tracks for the types of leads I wanted
th-cam.com/video/sMpDePv6uKE/w-d-xo.html
th-cam.com/video/SehN_eTLH7c/w-d-xo.html
What drums did you use for this the snare 💯
Hey dude! Not too sure, but something from reddits r/drumkits! Loads of good stuff to be found there.
I'm missing a slice function in Cubase Sampler Track. It's really quite rudimentary.
Unfortunately the sampler track seems a bit undercooked but maybe Steinberg will address that in a future version!
Got any FREE beats?
Yo dude! I don't make beats actually haha. But, maybe someday! Could be a fun live stream!
Sweet, thanks so much. Younger dorky cute :-)
You talked a bit too much for my liking but your voice is cool AF, so you get away with it :)
Haha glad to hear it. I try to offer pretty detailed explanations of everything, as people tend to complain in the comments when I don't break down all the gory details.
U want to know if it was awesome with trap drums!!?😎✉
Cubase AI doesn't come with sampler track🙄
Needs more cringe.
Haha don't worry, I got you fam.
Why
That voice really doesn't match that face. Nice vid though.
Yeah.....I know haha
hahaha :O
Stop doing trap and make voice overs.
I do actually do voice work on occassion haha. It's a gift!
