I have adored these two since they first came out. It's been a long, frustrating journey, what with a record label sidelining them for several years after their explosively successful beginning. After their previous album, The Veronicas, they were playing near me on that tour and I had a ticker and was excited as hell to see them, only to have the U.S. State Department screw up something to do with Australian passports, forcing the Veronicas (along with other Aussie bands) to have to cancel the U.S. leg of their tour--surely devastating to a band trying to break America or win over a larger audience here. I was crushed. So, my love for them and their music is undiminished, I just wish they hadn't had to face such ill fortune along the way. I look forward to seeing them live on the tour for this new album.
I'm really happy the girls have grown up and are using their personal experiences to good use by making us this fucking amazing new music they've been working on! Nothing better than seeing the growth of an artist, and seeing these two grow together instead of apart is so precious. I'm sure they still have their differences but it is very mature of them to put that aside and get back to bringing out the best in each other as they've always done!

And, I think I read it somewhere, that Ruby caused problems between The Veronicas and caused them to have bad blood in the family.

I just think people should keep an open mind as we weren't there. It's a great song but it's not nice to shout Ruby out over something that might not be true. She isn't even able to defend herself as she won't be aware of the comments. If the paparazzi are allowed to make up stories or exaggerate things to sell stories about celebrities, I doubt there is a law that prevents anyone making up a song with catchy lyrics - even if they aren't true.

If you analyze the song emitting a lot of negativity this way and also jealousy post-hoc (via the fake concern "do you miss me in your X") and all of the not-so-pseudo violence (hacking roses with a cutting shears) is the emotional reverse of the originally alleged accusation. Which shows it to be false and it probably was the opposite. Forensic Psychology.
