    I am 71 from India.
    Recently while in USA, after purchasing iPhone 14, I suddenly came across a couple of your videos.
    Immediately subscribed to it.
    Must say your Videos have helped me a lot in using all my Apple Products especially iPhone & iPad.
    They are very informative, short, simple & yet very effective learning Tools for elders like me.
    Above all, I found all your pronunciation very very easy to follow & grasp.
    Can’t ‘thank you’ more for all your videos. They are indeed very useful !!!
    Looking forward to more & more such videos from you.

      Thanks. I actually work on the pace. My goal is to not go too fast or too slow. I always struggle when the presenter goes too fast and I'm too impatient when things move too slowly. Thanks so much for watching.

    Thank you Rich. I’m learning a lot from your videos. One area that I still struggle with is navigating between different activities or apps to accomplish a task. For example, accessing and locating a specific email while using my dr’s app. Or, while on a FaceTime call, using the iPad to search for a photo to show them. Basically, combining some of the different apps or functions while using them in real time. I don’t know if you would be able to model this for us. But it would help me to see you in action, moving from one thing to another, using multiple apps. Sort of the synthesis of all the various things you’ve shown us so far. Thank you!

    I have not activated the Desktop and Documents option in iCloud Drive to save space in iCloud Drive. Can I now copy 1 spreadsheet from my local hard drive to iCloud Drive instead of moving it so that this file remains on the local hard drive and also in iCloud Drive? If this can be done will a change in the spreadsheet I make on the local hard drive also be synced to icloud Drive????? I have tried but the change is not synced!!!! Thanks for help!!!

    Hi Rich, I like to think I understand most of my apple devices. What I do not understand is, when I am running out of space on my iPhone, and like to delete e.g. photos, these are also removed from my iCloud which has plenty of space. I bought additional cloud space to save stuff, but the amount of storage space on you device seems to determine how much you can save. Am I wrong? I asked Apple and there answer was to store it on external HD😔☹️

    • @RichBowlin
      @RichBowlin  ปีที่แล้ว

      I store just about everything in iCloud. I have my photos app optimized for storage too. I have no storage issues. You can take a look at what's using If you go into Settings>General>iPhone Storage you can see what's taking up space on your iPhone. Then you can move what's you'd like to iCloud. Hope this helps!

  • @shellymac7597

    Is iCloud saving the same things over and over? For example, do I have many copies of the same pictures, or does it just resave what is already there and only add new things? I hope that my question makes sense.

    • @stevennovakovich2525
      @stevennovakovich2525 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      One would think that the iCloud and your device just 'synchronize' content-wise. That's all. Same stuff that's on your device gets shoved into iCloud.

    What version of iPad OS were you using when you made this video? I am now using 16.2 on an iPad Pro with 256G of local storage, and when I click on iPad storage no recommendations appear. Can I still find them? If so, where?

    • @RichBowlin
      @RichBowlin  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi John. I think I was using iPad OS15. Yes - it's still there in iPad OS16.2. Go to Settings, tap on your name at the top left, then tap on iCloud and you can see how much storage you have left. Hope this helps!

    How to sign into I cloud, or confirm

  • @LCculater

    I’d rather use my remote ssid , don’t need anyone hacking my stuff or keeping my files on their servers ?

    • @RichBowlin
      @RichBowlin  ปีที่แล้ว

      My research shows that iCloud is pretty safe. Or at least as safe as such a service can be. I recently bought an SSD and use it like you're using yours. According to Apple: End-to-end encrypted data can be decrypted only on your trusted devices where you're signed in with your Apple ID. No one else can access your end-to-end encrypted data - not even Apple - and this data remains secure even in the case of a data breach in the cloud. But you can't go wrong with an SSD.

  • @LCculater
    @LCculater ปีที่แล้ว

    I don’t use it as I don’t need my personal info tracked and keeping my personal info on their server ? I use a quality ssd hard drive. I back up on my ssd drive , 1 terra bite
