    Just bought one and set it up. Only thing I would add is that not the best to use big bumper plates. The smaller heavier old school weights would allow more space so your legs won’t risk coming into contact with the plates. 👍🏼

    Could you two do a full video showing what movements you did at westside barbell? Like we see Kristi pressing and with a d-ball or sandbag on the belt squat machine, etc.
    For us that have a belt squat machine, reverse hyper, camber bars, etc.

    Iam lookinga t getting one of this for my 2 bulding lower back disk. I don't barbell squat anymore so I ordered a trap par to do deadlifts and squats. I love this machine SO much. I never thought this machine could help strengthen your hamstring & glutes. After hearing that, I really hope that my gym can get this machine so I can strengthen my hamstrings & glutes in order to fix my deadlift form because my deadlift form is all over the place. I DEFINTELY want to use this machine to work on my quads because I feel like on certain days my quads are sore after lifting heavy things.

    A couple of questions. I have a similar version, how do you keep the weights from hitting your knees, and how noisey are your weights when in use?

    • @patrickoconnell2380
      @patrickoconnell2380 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      there should always be tension in the strap, and that should keep it from ever hitting your knees. With the clips on it is silent!

    • @ivenusflytrap

      Don’t focus on weights but reps. You should use the weights you use for your other weightlifting. I heard there is minimal space for bumpers to it’s suggested to use iron plates. Though they rattle a bit.

    Is this movement really better than regular hypers? Will it build up lower back if you’re trying to heal low back instability from degeneration?

    • @lukeludwig1055
      @lukeludwig1055 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This movement decompresses the spine, contrary to the normal hyper. Coupled with the strengthening this movement offers, this is substantially better than the normal hyper. This movement will also offer more blood flow to the tissue between the discs. I am about to buy this for the same reason, I have disc degeneration and have been in severe pain and hope this will help.

      for traction in the spine you want to let the momentum pull you out of extension into flexion so you can get full range of motion in the spine.
