Branden Bryant It’s crazy to me because that March proved they can sound good. It’s like they don’t care about balance, blend, innovation, articulation when it comes to regular selections. They be so harsh. The tuba line just be splatting and honking lol
Erick Phillips that’s that meac in them still and TC is most def progressively making a sound of their own I think since they came out they hand to gain attention and still is although they started out with a lot of transfers from almost every conference they are now at the point where recruits aren’t a problem and can work on building a better identity! They both did they thing in this one !
When central finally arrived...good sound for small band. TC y’all was good and great sound but AAMU wins 0 and 5th quarter!! Both were good battles!! Outnumbered but not outplayed.
TC sound good but not AAMU good. A lot of hanging over notes, flat at some points. As I always say, a baby can cry loud, but that's still is not a good sound. AAMU have stepped up from the last 3 years. Sound clean and can hear all the parts. The battle of the bands in Birmingham, Miles sounded great. But, until they work on control, we can't give them the band of Alabama. And, State need to tell Dr. Oliver it's time to retire. And, this is coming from someone who listen to band music all day.

I'll give Dega props for cleaning up the sound. There is still some cleaning up to do. The attacks and releases were iffy. Balance and blend can be improved but sound much better than the last few seasons. Overall I give it to A&M. I'm not completely sold on the arrangements but I can't find fault with their musicianship.
If people say that Dega won this battle, they must not know the difference between blasting, pitch, and intonation, because they sound horrible and not clean. I can hear all parts of the song and know the name of the songs from A&M.

Didn’t see anything online. Just saw the flyer for the Mobile Battle of the Bands last week and put it on the schedule. A lot of times it seems there’s only 2-4 weeks notice for an event, if that these days. The National BOTB and Battle for Birmingham gave months in advance notice. Good to have options.
This was just the Gulf Coast Challenge Football Game. The BOTB is Next Weekend. I won’t even be able to make that because of my job. But I know what you mean about the time frame. The promoters be dropping the ball.
