At last my most favorite tall most beautiful, elegant and stylish actress our Minugu Tharai (.minnum Natchathiram) kalpana's biography had been published.Thank you Ayya🙏🙏🙏.Although she had acted in a handful of tamizh movies her excellent acting were mostly in Kannada films.We growing up in Karnataka admired her saree, jewels selections Hair styles and the way she used to wear her sarees , She was our fashion icon those days .👌👌👌.You had left out several of her block buster movies in Kannada .Her acting in Eradu Kanasu with Raj Kumar and as a distrusted wife in Sarapanchara, her black-and-white movie Gajje Poojae were all kallathal Azhiyathadhu🤭🤭🤭.when i get home sick I still watch those movies on the you tube.😥 Her songs were also very very famous..Puttanna Kangal after having worked with her in several block buster movies later switched his attention on much much younger actress Arthi whom he married her eventually as his second wife and started ignoring Kalpana😡😡.After that only she went into join the Gotour Basavaraja's theater company.She was not married to him as you had nentioned.She had feelings only for Puttanna Kanagal 😢😭.
During one stage performance in Gotour Basavaraja had slapped her in front of so many people because she had changed a dialoque by mistake which he thought was insulting to him and slapped her which made her very depressed and that night in that guest house had consumed too many sleeping pills and crushed diamond from her ring and was found dead😭😭😭😭.Her house was bought and now converted into apts. But her burial place on the tomb stone the words Minugu tharai Kalpana elli maligidharae.( Minnum star Kalpana is sleeping here )People interested can check out these in our Kalimadayama's TH-cam channel which he had gone there and had requested those apt owner to clean her grave and to put flowers 😭😭😭 No kannadiga will forget her beautiful face and her award winning films 🙏🙏🙏.

@@psofia4814 Exactly.She was my most favorite acteess in Karnataka since my childhood days .My first film of hers was Gajje Poojae 👌👌👌.I still see that movie, Bellimoda and Sarapancharara in the you tube. I have her CD of Eradu kanasu..I liked her dressing sense, her beautiful dimple and dialoque delivery 🤭She was awesome singing Adinalkku varuza song with such expressions and the Kavery river scene with Gangadhar saying "" Ellae Kalagondae and running around as a mad woman in Sarapanchara.👏👏👏👏👏. For that act she should have received not the state award but a National award.😠😠😠It was also said those days that the Tamizh nadu government had requested her to model for the sculpture of Kannagi Statue in the Marina Beach .But people had advised her not to because Kannagi destroyed and burnt Madurai.I am not sure if it's TRUE OR NOT that the sculpter later had looked at her picture and sculpted that statue .You can see her life and the rest in our Kannada Kalamadhyamaya you tube channel.

Sadly her talent was not appreciated by Tamizh and Telugu moviegoers but great stars of Telugu and Tamizh hold her in high esteem as an actress. Her talent was well utilised to the fullest extent by genius director Puttanna Kanagal and they gave a row of bumper hits in Kannada. I became her die hard fan after watching her in Sharapanjara.
