    • @DarthSidian
      @DarthSidian 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1167

    You're an immensely interesting and mesmerizing fellow exuding intelligence and easy relatability with your intrinsic and varied artforms. Please know that I also personally appreciate your dedication and hard work creating a most unique channel. Your channel is an honest remedy for me to have rest, comfort, and sleep. Almost 2 years ago I was suddenly stricken with a very painful crippling condition which hindered sleep. Your soothing channel combined with 2 other such channels allow me chances to drift away and escape the continuous pain and discomfort. I'll be receiving a new type of chemotherapy soon after the new year begins. What you said around 9:24 about "...knowing the language and filling in the vowels yourself..." _because_ they aren't written is fascinating! Why don't they teach that in History classes?
    I think the notion of "an entire language needing to be lived to be learned" is a beautiful idea. It also makes sense that it would be mostly-spoken rather than written when most people could do only that: speak. That almost blows my mind. We take literacy for granted: languages used to be designed without it!

    • @catrina6541
      @catrina6541 ปีที่แล้ว +38

      that’s also how ancient hebrew works! nowadays people write the vowels byt in the torah, there are no vowels you just have to fill in the blanks w context clues bc youd know the language

      @catrina6541 also shows a timeline for the fact that Hebrew was written basically as a reaction and rebellion against hyroglyphs. It's incredible

      fun fact: hieroglyphs actually weren’t commonly used! most people used demotic script for everyday stuff. hieroglyphs were reserved for documenting stories of deities and government information and could only be written by a priest. so you’d be good! :)

    There's so much quality in your whispering it's not even fair. You have an insanely soothing voice. Also (just to add insult to in- well.. insult to compliment? I guess?) With the "Combined Consonants" chapter I believe Consonants is spelt with an S rather than a second C. Sorry to be a pain😂
