I keep looking through the comments for results and all I’m getting is people ranting abt fame. Like y’all don’t realize that fame is not a bad thing. It’s not the right reason to become an actor but it isn’t like make you a terrible person. Most people that want to be an actor likes the idea of fame and that’s okay that human nature. All I’m saying is if you love the craft of acting so much that you don’t feel the need to be apart of that culture of fame and you are ok with being an actor in a tiny theatre for the rest of your life you were born to act. We shouldn’t be judging each other tho, like if someone wants to be famous let them do their thing. Don’t focus on others focus on your own career. I agree for the most part except for the tiny theatre part lol as someone who’s been acting for a while, most theatre will pay you scraps. Although I love it, it’s not easy to do something like that which takes up so much time and also have time for your day job for which you need to pay rent. You can truly love acting and want to have it be your career/ pay your bills. I think the main thing is many people think getting to that point means that you’re famous lol…it doesn’t. I know other actors who sustain themselves solely on acting, have been in television shows, & in movies but people here wouldn’t even recognize. But yea I’m not a fan of gatekeeping either or telling people what they can and cannot do but if someone’s only in it for the fame, there’s going to be a rude awakening that comes with it. You have to truly love the craft to stay up hours on end on set with no sleep, be completely vulnerable in every sense, face rejection non-stop to even book one job, putting all of your time and money into this business just to have most people think you’re a joke bc you want to act. Be an actor because you want to expose the human condition, because you love movies/art, not for the fame because it won’t sustain you or prepare you for the hardship you have to face to be taken serious.

guys THIS WORKS So i've been listening to this off and on for the past year and back in april 2021, i got an extra role for an apple tv show, and then the jobs started to keep on coming. along the way i met many celeberties, acting friends and had a great time overall! fast forward this week, i got to work on one of the shows again, and when i tell you that everyone remembered me- The main character came up to me and we had a whole conversation about last season, and everyone was shocked that they remembered us. Hi, I'm just gonna give all the people who see fame as one of the main subjects of acting a little talk, if after u still wanna be an actor/actress, do some more research, then confirm If u actually love acting or if u love fame🙃 Hi, if ur reading this thanks for taking your time to see someone's point of view, hopefully if your blinded by fame i can help u see how it will be and why i find a deep passion in acting anyway ☆fame☆ Fame is the main concept most get from acting. They see people staring in movies and becoming rich and famous and people think that that's glamorous and amazing,and maybe it is, but have you ever considered the stress? Being famous is very difficult, especially if you are aiming to be a child actor/actress, having that much attention at that age is very overwhelming, strangers know everything about you,and, you have a feeling everyone is watching you all the time, at least if you make it big. As an adult it's the same, people still watch you, however it is slightly easier to handle the attention and constant recognition by strangers. On the other hand as an adult you dont have your parents to manage your career which can be hard. Fame is not always glamorous, it's hard. Take Lili Reinhart for an example, she only got 2 hours of sleep before an event, that's how busy she was. It's crazy, so if you only think you want to act, dont do it. You need to be absolutely certain that this is your passion, because it is way to hard to do just for a little bit of attention. ☆actually loving acting☆ Hello, this wont be as long lol, I just wanted to say a few more things. If you really love acting, the art,the time, the skill, that it takes to act, then do it. If you feel so passionate it's all you dream about, your talented and you can handle the stress, do it. lemme add my two cents in about acting ! okay in primary (elementary to middle school) i was quite shy but extroverted ? but in high school for 3 years we had drama classes and the first year i had this amazing teacher , he even SELECTED ME for the main role himself in a play, i fell in love with acting, myself and felt so confident never before and as a child i would watch victorious and be so inspired however when my igcse choices came around i wasn’t allowed to take drama so listening to this will bring me some opportunities i believe in it also, i even auditioned for premiere (disney affiliated agency and made it into round 2 but my parents didn’t allow me to go)

i think i'll do comedy bc i love to make people laugh. my friends always says i'm funny and i love when they smile bc of somehting that i've done. i really want to just act just being in front of a camera and saying my script that they probably will know but somehow i'll make them laugh. i really want this feeling of just reading a script and getting into character, that feeling of the first audition when ure all nervous and hopping you'll get into it. i love acting, idk how this love appeard i just know i want to act.
Day 1: So I have to learn this monologue for my drama and I’m struggling with learning the 3rd paragraph. However, after listening to this overnight last night I can now perform my monologue including the last paragraphs (3rd and 4th) off by heart I just hope I can pull the accent off and remember the movements for tomorrow’s rehearsals. Day 2: So at my drama school my acting teacher said the monologue I had to perform was really good and I’ve noticed my voice is stronger, like normally I’ll have to go quiet to sing high as I have a naturally low voice for a girl but I could sing in my normal voice strongly and my singing teacher was raising his eyebrows at me 😂 Although I couldn’t contain a laugh for an improvisation and laughed a bit while saying a line; luckily it was just a make it up on your own and perform it for the class so it wasn’t anything serious just what we were doing in lessons. Day 9: Well I didn’t laugh while using an inside joke in an improvisation. I’ll probably just update weekly because I go to a drama school once a week. Day ??: idk what day it is now lol. I’ll just start from day 1 because I stopped using this for a while but something’s came up where I need to send a self tape and I need this subliminal because I just can’t 😂😂 also my drama school holds annual shows to like showcase our improvement idk and I can remember the dance better and might even get a solo. Also I’m going to be in one of the 2019 Joseph shows as part of the choir and I’m getting drama exams next month.. :/

I know no one asked for this but I just want this out: ( probably you won’t read this. You really don’t have to. I just want this out.) I want to be an actor. Ofcourse a lot of people want to be an actor but I never get the chance why I want to be an actor. I had an emotional and rough past. I cried, I was mad, confused why it happened to me. Then I saw movies. They played with my emotions and let my emotions out. I truly found it so beautiful and fascinating how movies or shows can change peoples minds and emotions. Then I was in my first musical. I was shy with singing, but with acting? I felt like I was alone with my friends just acting. Being happy, being sad or mad in a scene where I had to be mad, sad or happy. I wasn’t playing myself. I wasn’t playing my life. I was playing a character. I was playing a character with their own story, own name, their own age and their own mind and feelings. It was truly amazing. I felt like myself but also not. It’s just an amazing idea that you can actually play whoever you want and people can believe you and yourself believe you are that character. You can just play anyone, any story and any gender!!! Isn’t that crazy!? That thought makes me happy. But you know what makes me the happiest I can be? Seeing people watching a movie or show that I’m in. Seeing their emotions change, seeing them focussing on the movie, relating to characters, Creating a bond with a character and Maybe it can be their favorite movie or show or character. Movies, shows, characters and even actors has changed my life and many other people’s life’s. Many of actors has helped my friends and many others to survive their life and feeling a lot better. That’s what I want to do. I want to act, I want to share the art of acting around the world, I want to help people, making them feel happy and change emotions, to make them create a bond with characters and have a topic on to talk about with everybody. It’s not the right reason to become an actor but it isn’t like make you a terrible person. Most people that want to be an actor likes the idea of fame and that’s okay that human nature. All I’m saying is if you love the craft of acting so much that you don’t feel the need to be apart of that culture of fame and you are ok with being an actor in a tiny theatre for the rest of your life you were born to act. We shouldn’t be judging each other tho, like if someone wants to be famous let them do their thing. Don’t focus on others focus on your own career. If you stay dedicated and determined you can reach every dream you have. The best of luck to all of you!

I agree for the most part except for the tiny theatre part lol as someone who’s been acting for a while, most theatre will pay you scraps. Although I love it, it’s not easy to do something like that which takes up so much time and also have time for your day job for which you need to pay rent. You can truly love acting and want to have it be your career/ pay your bills. I think the main thing is many people think getting to that point means that you’re famous lol…it doesn’t. I know other actors who sustain themselves solely on acting, have been in television shows, & in movies but people here wouldn’t even recognize. But yea I’m not a fan of gatekeeping either or telling people what they can and cannot do but if someone’s only in it for the fame, there’s going to be a rude awakening that comes with it. You have to truly love the craft to stay up hours on end on set with no sleep, be completely vulnerable in every sense, face rejection non-stop to even book one job, putting all of your time and money into this business just to have most people think you’re a joke bc you want to act. Be an actor because you want to expose the human condition, because you love movies/art, not for the fame because it won’t sustain you or prepare you for the hardship you have to face to be taken serious.

Fame is the main concept most get from acting. They see people staring in movies and becoming rich and famous and people think that that's glamorous and amazing,and maybe it is, but have you ever considered the stress? Being famous is very difficult, especially if you are aiming to be a child actor/actress, having that much attention at that age is very overwhelming, strangers know everything about you,and, you have a feeling everyone is watching you all the time, at least if you make it big. As an adult it's the same, people still watch you, however it is slightly easier to handle the attention and constant recognition by strangers. On the other hand as an adult you dont have your parents to manage your career which can be hard. Fame is not always glamorous, it's hard. Take Lili Reinhart for an example, she only got 2 hours of sleep before an event, that's how busy she was. It's crazy, so if you only think you want to act, dont do it. You need to be absolutely certain that this is your passion, because it is way to hard to do just for a little bit of attention.

Hello, this wont be as long lol, I just wanted to say a few more things. If you really love acting, the art,the time, the skill, that it takes to act, then do it. If you feel so passionate it's all you dream about, your talented and you can handle the stress, do it. Though I reccomend gathering advice and taking it slow. But, if you just want fame or you want to impress your friends, please do not do it. Acting is an art and is often mistaken for being easy or glamorous, and of course it is, but not all the time. Please take these things into consideration.

Dyslexic people can somewhat read what they write but it’s mostly to do with spelling. There is some forms of dyslexia some have it wrost then others.

Ever since i was a kid, i always wanted to be an actress and i already see myself acting. When they're asking "what do you want to be when you grow up?" I always tell them other ambitions or professions. I'm telling them im still undecided and i still cant make a decision about my future. But to be honest i dont know how possible it is to be undecided and not know about your future cause i can picture myself in my imagination inside a television inspring everyone. And the reason why im not yet doing anything about my dreams is because im afraid. That they will judge me and tell me i cant. Even though i really can. That i dont have talent like singing or dancing. They can only see me as a good student that can only excel on academics. 4 days in and thought i havent been able to cry on cue yet, ive been getting faster at making myself emotional (if that makes sense) and on top of that my speech has been coming out a whole lot clearer and ive been able to memorize scripts pretty fast!

lemme add my two cents in about acting ! okay in primary (elementary to middle school) i was quite shy but extroverted ? but in high school for 3 years we had drama classes and the first year i had this amazing teacher , he even SELECTED ME for the main role himself in a play, i fell in love with acting, myself and felt so confident never before and as a child i would watch victorious and be so inspired however when my igcse choices came around i wasn’t allowed to take drama so listening to this will bring me some opportunities i believe in it also, i even auditioned for premiere (disney affiliated agency and made it into round 2 but my parents didn’t allow me to go)

Everyone want to be in stranger things and i want to be that main black character in a *diverse* coming of age movie
Day 1: So I have to learn this monologue for my drama and I’m struggling with learning the 3rd paragraph. However, after listening to this overnight last night I can now perform my monologue including the last paragraphs (3rd and 4th) off by heart I just hope I can pull the accent off and remember the movements for tomorrow’s rehearsals.
Day 2: So at my drama school my acting teacher said the monologue I had to perform was really good and I’ve noticed my voice is stronger, like normally I’ll have to go quiet to sing high as I have a naturally low voice for a girl but I could sing in my normal voice strongly and my singing teacher was raising his eyebrows at me 😂
Although I couldn’t contain a laugh for an improvisation and laughed a bit while saying a line; luckily it was just a make it up on your own and perform it for the class so it wasn’t anything serious just what we were doing in lessons.
Day 9: Well I didn’t laugh while using an inside joke in an improvisation. I’ll probably just update weekly because I go to a drama school once a week.
Day ??: idk what day it is now lol. I’ll just start from day 1 because I stopped using this for a while but something’s came up where I need to send a self tape and I need this subliminal because I just can’t 😂😂 also my drama school holds annual shows to like showcase our improvement idk and I can remember the dance better and might even get a solo. I’m already an actor and ive been trained for years through youtube. Its just that my family doesn’t have the money to audition. I also sang for 11+ years so yea, i’m 14 rn and it was my dream to become a singer and an actor since i was a little girl. I was about to audition for disney when i was 8 but my parents said no and when I grew to 11, I asked if I can audition for agt but again they said no. I cried so f much all day. all my talent went into the bin but now i’m not giving up, i will fight for my dreams, this is my main passion I worked hard for. Thanks for reading my rant lol, byee

I want to be an actor.
Ofcourse a lot of people want to be an actor but I never get the chance why I want to be an actor.
I had an emotional and rough past. I cried, I was mad, confused why it happened to me.
Then I saw movies. They played with my emotions and let my emotions out.
I truly found it so beautiful and fascinating how movies or shows can change peoples minds and emotions.
Then I was in my first musical. I was shy with singing, but with acting? I felt like I was alone with my friends just acting.
Being happy, being sad or mad in a scene where I had to be mad, sad or happy. I wasn’t playing myself. I wasn’t playing my life. I was playing a character. I was playing a character with their own story, own name, their own age and their own mind and feelings.
It was truly amazing. I felt like myself but also not. It’s just an amazing idea that you can actually play whoever you want and people can believe you and yourself believe you are that character. You can just play anyone, any story and any gender!!!
Isn’t that crazy!?
That thought makes me happy. But you know what makes me the happiest I can be?
Seeing people watching a movie or show that I’m in. Seeing their emotions change, seeing them focussing on the movie, relating to characters,
Creating a bond with a character and Maybe it can be their favorite movie or show or character.
Movies, shows, characters and even actors has changed my life and many other people’s life’s. Many of actors has helped my friends and many others to survive their life and feeling a lot better.
That’s what I want to do.
I want to act, I want to share the art of acting around the world, I want to help people, making them feel happy and change emotions, to make them create a bond with characters and have a topic on to talk about with everybody.
I want to be happy, see the whole world, seeing myself in movies or shows and most important is I want to be proud of myself.
