Got so close yet now I’m so far. Went to an acting class and they had me audition and they said “wow we might put you in an elite class” when I got back and told my mom she said she might not do it because of the pricing (275/month) how do I not cry my eyes out in front of her?

^^ I didn’t get the part but that’s ok, I’m acting there is a LOT of “no”s so I’m fine with it. My talent agent submitted me for Cobra Kai Auditions so I’m waiting for that and in the mean time I’m trying to raise money to go to IMTA :p
so big update, its August 19th 2023. I never heard back from the cobra kai auditions btw. I went to IMTA, the endless training was insane and extremely exhausting and tiring, but now I have some training in modeling as well as a lot of acting. IMTA was a great place to gain experience for sure, they have another one in LA in January but I don't think I will go only because I feel like IMTA does not serve any purpose for me anymore. I also feel like the acting school I go to is not serving its purpose for me anymore, a lot of the drama surrounding the academy I go to is just too much and I don't think it serves anything to my purpose or manifestations. and also with this sag strike I can't really submit myself to agencies cause they will not be accepting any new clients until the sag strike stops or starts to come to a stop. but I do feel like it's time for me to move on from this acting school since my talent agent isn't really prioritizing me or any of the friends I have made at the academy, she is prioritizing the people who seem to be getting more work and that speaks volumes to me. I've learned a lot from my friends and from attending the academy and from IMTA so if you have any questions or need any advice I feel like I'm in a far enough spot to provide you with such help!
