Most modelers over weather their kits. In the case on the he- 162, they were practically brand new. And a lot of the fuselage was actually wood. Most aircraft were found new, parked in hideouts with empty gas tanks.
For smoother paint, try using Mr. Color Leveling Thinner. Thin your paint 50/50 with this thinner. Yes, this is a lacquer thinner, but it works very well with Tamiya acrylics. For the Tamiya decals, you need their Mark Fit Strong decal solution.
I just started using Mr Retarder Mild and that's helped a ton; I thin with Tamiya's Lacquer thinner. I'll give Mr. Color a try after I run out. My issue with these decals wasn't really snugging into things, but pure thickness. I think it handled the panel lines pretty well, I can just see the edges very pronounced on the completely flat wings.
You certainly did! I think you commented like two years ago when you could see the box in a pic of my workspace, right? Hope it lives up to the wait in at least some way lmao.
*all of my german builds. You are probably right but idk what else to use. Copyright free music almost universally is terrible AND sounds identical. i am planning to cut it down to 1, 2 songs max in the future just to make copyright dodging easier.

Wondering what did you use on the bottom of the fulesalage? Was it smoke tamiya acrylic paint or something else
@@jaredgunn2907 Gun-and-exhaust smoke is typically highly thinned mix of tamiya black and red brown.- like 95% thinner.
Currently building this one as my first kit that I'm actually painting.
And it's a blast!
Your video gave me good guidance and inspiration.
Glad to hear it!
I’m making this kit right now in tandem with a 1/48 me 262. What luck for you have both planes covered.

i would say it's your best modell so far👍
it is certainly a contender

AAAh I actaully just ordered this one! Great timing!!
I'm sure you'll enjoy the build!
Nice kit, but the pilot figure looks bored to tears. Like he's waiting for a bus 🚌
I've waited way too long for this xD

@@TheWaggishAmerican Yeah exactly, You even lived up to it. Props to you man!

@@TheWaggishAmerican just look at the other youtubers you'll get the idea. 😃
What’s almost as impressive as this build is you can actually pronounce ‘Tamiya’ correctly.
Do others not? How is it commonly incorrectly said?
Also thanks!
