Great video. I love organisation and travel ideas. I was surprised that the shower recess on Princess was not magnetic as I recall using my magnetic hooks within the shower on Quantum. Oh well, the suction ones usually work ok as long as you prepare the surface well and don’t overload. Amazon has some pretty good single suction hooks that would be useful in the bathroom too if needed. I find the towel “hooks” on the inside of the Princess bathroom doors to be a bit useless. Since the doors are magnetic I would be looking to add my own heavy duty towel hooks if needed
Thank you. Good idea on suction hooks the Princess bathroom is plastic and tiny, we found a toothbrush holder size one for the bathroom and we are going to get two and use the second for utensils like scissors etc near the fridge.
I'm not sure why no one mentions foldable cube storage bin. Not packing cubes, but the ones that are stiff that people put in shelving units. You can find ones that are 10 x 10 or 12 x 12. My sister, mother, and I when on a cruise where I brought 2 per person to keep our stuff organized. We were in a balcony. It worked like a dream. They pack flat and you can label them. I was looking at the shelf in the closet where you had the zip bag. Storage cubes would be perfect in that space. They would use the vertical space well. I roll my clothes, lay the bin on its side, and "file" them sticking out so I can see what is in the cube.
That is makes so much sense. Laying them on the side is ideal, basically creating shelving partitions on the shelf, in a flat pack. I love the idea. 👍 We have a 10 day cruise in January and I’ll trial it for myself. Is it ok to film and share your idea to my subscribers in January? Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for sharing! I'm doing a 120-night world cruise in January 2025, I was planning on taking the foldable cubes, but hadn't thought about putting them on their sides.
Do you use packing cubes? I love them and find them really useful to keep smalls organised on the closet shelves. I think you can even find flat pack style felt ones that fold out to create little drawers
Sometimes what I do when I don't have enough hangers is I will hang more than one shirt / blouse on a hanger until I could get more from the steward IF I forgot to bring the kind I get from the drycleaner (metal w/ paper). That is one way to get them out of your home. :) The reason I stopped to watch your video is that we will be doing 54-day cruise round trip from LA to Australia and it's the longest cruise we have done and willing to listen to those that have. Thanks for sharing!
Yes, those dry cleaner ones would not take much room in the suitcase. I agree a good way to move them on 🤣🤣 Cool ya heading down under. It’s a bloody long way but you will enjoy. 😉
Amazon has a good selection. I would suggest the 100 lbs resistance ones. www.amazon.com.au/RIHEGANIT-Magnetic-Magnets-Refrigerator-Hanging/dp/B0CVXDG4LX/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?crid=ZNTVJPJEHO2O&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.QMAlYbw1NqJNK-ZYFaBk4nDEBFPrmheqKsNYiLOgdOtNR8G8wJjedxbX38ERyy4kIcAGcNvZ0jhayxieLEcTlRlMpg7O6q9uJcMSWlzpyPb92WpHvn-O4H-FU-2hexj-EHjiByXK74wemhJrEvshsSESoQvztWvcA4L6SpOJzoThUXCwFN2OdIlYbDBrdrFzMTRQLDyO0Hy5e5942LgCLSbfqffLGHqRUgktJkPJ_xNL0fWmwwAlcGB9JDSz873OKMHAd53J05OSuA7ymzF9rN7x2s03ThGALfltW3L3Pik.JZVK5sY-mywZ9cTqtYiZbRu6MgWGwp37gKFbqp_8Ajk&dib_tag=se&keywords=magnetic+hooks+tiles&qid=1736992572&sprefix=magnetic+hookstiles%2Caps%2C438&sr=8-2-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&psc=1
I like to bring fold up hangers, 1 for each dress I bring. Spend a little extra and get a sturdy pop up hamper so it will last for the entire trip. Then I purchase a couple of cheap fold up "ikea" cubes. We toss our shoes in those and throw them away after the cruise. When I can find the 1/2 size cubes I bring 2 for storing undergarments in on the closet shelving. Magnets are life along with a sensor night light for the bathroom.
We have had several cruises of 35 days and varying weather. We used our suit cases under the bed for additional storage. They're great for all exta toiletry items and closes for the different climates.
Hi Deb. Think this is it $20 www.amazon.com.au/Rustark-Foldable-Lightweight-Collapsible-Dormitory/dp/B0CH9XX6C9/ref=mp_s_a_1_16_sspa?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.afseC2Gh-gwKqnZ9hCSphi8PmNGN3PHqCC6usRjkd-GOnEULVrJxIWIfpxc-9q6MJLvmoi-UyJFx95kUG_y7pgu758WKR-P519Dopt4Do3XOtunvdbv9gHQhUjLnXa4QaPCEqitPHrt3Hqs4dc6_g2kCfEmJ9kuPzTkbiG60lqM_LIZPd-XeEC2mTOsKFYsvSBlGzpI8iiVlXviJytDGPg.AzACY-bSDMnKYshPuyCT4eL0Ehe9iJv2srj-D-Mj9nw&dib_tag=se&keywords=collapsible+laundry+basket&qid=1728715649&sr=8-16-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9zZWFyY2hfYXRmX25leHQ&psc=1
Lots of people take them. A travel hair dryer that aligns or changes voltage is not a fire risk. I will check with my wife as hair care is something I do not have to worry about 🤣🤣🤣
TIP I pack dryer sheets, which are great for wet or smelly boots/shoes. Plus, use for storing clothing on long cruises 👍
Thanks for sharing, I will now be packing these. I didn’t know about these and it’s a great idea.

@ January is so close. Have a fantastic trip. 😊👍

Thank you! Good tips!
Glad it was helpful!

Great tips. I'm doing the half on Crown in '26 :)
Great itinerary for the 2026, and the ship goes to dry dock after the 2025 so will be nice and fresh. Happy Cruisen.
This is a great video. My wife and I are doing a 22 night cruise on Diamond Princess in February. Where did you get the magnetic hooks from?

Thanks for the tips. I'm booked on the same 2025 cruise. Hope to meet up onboard.
Cool, June 4th cannot come quick enough. Definitely

Excellent advice, thanks you for sharing. Will definitely upgrade the hamper. Will also do the cube for shoes.

Yeah. For 35 days you need to set up home away from home.
Hi we got the laundry hampers from Amazon.
Excellent
Can you please tell me where you purchased the laundry hamper?

I thought hair dryers were a No no on cruise ships.
