Little spoiler for a few videos time... we came back to this creek and I’m always saying... “oh is that blue” the whole time and then almost at the very end of the day I found the biggest bluest piece of chalcedony that I ever have found. Me too! New zealand has always been my far away dream vaca (live in PNW US) but now I'm turning the dream in my mind to an Australia/ NZ combo mainly Rockhounding trip! Which especially makes sense if I'm gonna go that far on a plane since I HATE to fly. I even would rather go there than Hawaii when my partner and I finally get a honeymoon after 9 yrs together. However he would want to kill me if I made OUR honeymoon about rockhounding 😂. But knowing him he would indulge me and still accompanying me on a hunt or 2. It's awhile b4 that's a reality but a woman can dream...

@@Rookie_Rockounding - work was crazy. I do payroll and had like 10 client's worth, plus a new client setup. I worked through lunch and was just wasted by the time 1pm rolled around. But it doesn't really matter, because they are all beautiful in the same. But you found 🔮 crystal opals and you can still do things with them, it's not always about selling them and making money off of them, it's the Passion of finding beautiful stones that drives us to the creeks and making something special for us to look at, or give it to our loved ones. I find it so soothing to watch your rockhounding adventures. I would love, love, love to be able to hunt in Australia - if I were finding even half of the stuff you've found, I'd be jumping up and down with excitement.
Managed watching by turning down the settings. Third time i've tried leaving comment. Small gravel Banks get searched more because there is less choice. Less choice means look harder and dig like your cousin, smart man. Digging means you uncover what you would not normally see. I've told you before about green, it's in that area just like opal. Wish I could say something sarcastic or funny but I need to find some food, there is a loud noise from my stomach that sounds like i've swallowed a dog with a speech problem. Those rocks look tasty and are making the noise louder. Thank you for this little escape from reality.

I’ve found when tumbling it that it’s pretty soft so it may not need as long as other silicates do but the results are just so pretty! Thank you again Captain for stopping by. Most of the time if you think you see blue chalcedony, it's only 'blue' in the same way milk turns 'blue' if you add water to it. To be fair, there are blue agates, they're just very unusual. Have I told you lately, I'm jealous of your river beds?! :o A gold pan?! Heeeey! That's how it starts! 15:20 I'd be excited too! 17:16 nice celadonite rind on that little guy! Great seein your cuz get in on the adventures too! One day you'll have to get Benny, Pauly, Rhondda and Dan all out at the same time! Heck, you could start your own lapidary/fossicking club!

Me too! New zealand has always been my far away dream vaca (live in PNW US) but now I'm turning the dream in my mind to an Australia/ NZ combo mainly Rockhounding trip! Which especially makes sense if I'm gonna go that far on a plane since I HATE to fly. I even would rather go there than Hawaii when my partner and I finally get a honeymoon after 9 yrs together. However he would want to kill me if I made OUR honeymoon about rockhounding 😂. But knowing him he would indulge me and still accompanying me on a hunt or 2. It's awhile b4 that's a reality but a woman can dream...

@@Rookie_Rockounding - work was crazy. I do payroll and had like 10 client's worth, plus a new client setup. I worked through lunch and was just wasted by the time 1pm rolled around. Came home and laid down. Felt much better today and got some good beach scores and then cleaned a whole bunch and did some cooking. Thanks for checking in, friend! ❤

But it doesn't really matter, because they are all beautiful in the same. But you found 🔮 crystal opals and you can still do things with them, it's not always about selling them and making money off of them, it's the Passion of finding beautiful stones that drives us to the creeks and making something special for us to look at, or give it to our loved ones. I’ve found when tumbling it that it’s pretty soft so it may not need as long as other silicates do but the results are just so pretty! Thank you again Captain for stopping by. Most of the time if you think you see blue chalcedony, it's only 'blue' in the same way milk turns 'blue' if you add water to it. To be fair, there are blue agates, they're just very unusual.
