Ngl, I prefer this version of the closing theme to the Series 2 and 3 version. I think it stands out more as alien than when they decided to acompany it with more instruments, which made it less unsettling unlike the first series version.
Yes, I agree I think the follow-up version is too orchestral, especially when the middle eight is introduced. However, it's much better when it's remixed for Series 4.
So much nostalgia. This is how my dad feels about the Pertwee era. I feel it for Eccleston.
me too lol
It's so mental how many variations on these themes there are.

@@DoctorVision Series 4 was the best Theme of the Murray Gold Era
This one has the original baseline at parts if you listen closely. I love that inclusion
I love the lack of the middle 8, and the closing notes. It's so... Abrupt.
Got be honest, this is the best version of the doctor who theme tune for me 😊
The long version, presumably.
@@yannatoko9898 Yeah 😊
The horns are the best part, makes it sound epic
This is the best closing theme. Series 2 & 3 were good as well but this is Gold. (Excuse the pun)
The lack of middle 8 feels like being constantly edged
Same. Murray Gold apparently just hated the middle-eight or something, constantly leaving the last three notes out whenever he had to include it.
Best part 2:01 - 2:07
Used for the dvds
great video, how did you get time vortex on loop? if so can you make a video where its just the time vortex on its own on a loop for 2 mins minimum?
✨magic ✨
Wish they kept this closing version beyond 1 through 2-4.
