Give credit where it’s due , Halep had only 3 unforced errors and forced Serena into errors by being aggressive and retrieving points that otherwise would be winners against any other player.
Simona is the perfect example of a role model, she's beautiful, honest, classy, humble and delicated amonst the other great traits she prosesses. She is most deserving of all the accolades she gets.
I would not know what to say, I would be star struck! I could not even think of a question on the WTA Q and A recently, she tells me everything I need to know on the court. I have watched her live a few times, French Open and Eastbourne, at Eastbourne a couple of times I was standing a right next to the court it was an amazing experience to watch her play so close up
What I love about Simona is she is just so friendly and grounded. Absolute superstar yet everytime she speaks or smiles or everytime you look into those gorgeous big blues there is so much more going on. She understands her position and responsibility and is unpretentious. She is such an asset to the WTA and tennis in general. I am not Romanian, I don't need to be to love Simona.
Me neither, I think there is a misconception about Simona's fans, she is a passionate Romanian and the Romanians love her but she is loved all over the world she has a massive global fan base one of the most popular players of WTA ever
@@bobbyfackrell9137 Exactly, you only have to look at the viewing figures of this video and then compare it to the current no1 Ash Barty's interview which has actually been out a day longer and no disrespect to Ash she's a great player but you can see where the interest really is. Simona is very popular worldwide.
She is such an inspiration for me and so many people around the world. Simona taught me that no matter the adversity, no matter what you are told, always have faith in your abilities and trust yourself. She already has a hall of fame career and I can't wait to see what else she adds to her trophy collection in the next years.
Me too, she inspires me in all aspects of life. I've been a fan since 2014 but her run to the final in Australia 2018 was the most inspiring journey I have ever seen, the match against Kerber was one of greatest matches' of all time. She played through the tournament with an injury too. Even when she lost I was gutted but it was not too bad that time because she had given absolutely everything, it was amazing I was convinced she would win the French Open that year!
@@bobbyfackrell9137 Yessss I remember, oh god, because I live in Europe it’s very difficult to watch AO every year, but my god I felt like I was in an alternate universe that tournament !! She played out of herself, it was a shame that Woz’s timeout threw her off completely, she was up 4-3 and 40-40. But that journey was just special. I hope she wins AO 2022.
I dig this platform for Ms. Evert. She is becoming a very solid interviewer. She brought out other aspects of Simona. Things I didn't know about Simona's life. Great job! Learned so much. I love this channel.
Quite simply the most inspiring human on the planet! Such a lovely Interview. I'm so happy she plans to play a few more years that has made my week! I hope she manages to stay healthy and pain free, wins the Olympic medal she craves and can pick up three more majors to at least equal the great Justin Henin. Someone who works as hard as Simo deserves a few more big ones in the trophy cabinet. Haide Champion 🏆 x
My mother loved Chrisie ❤ and she would have loved Simona. When I watch Simona I feel close to Mom for turning me on to this great game with all its emotions they are gladiators with four hour matched in 130 degree heat at times...
She's so real. I mean, for a champion with so much fame, she seems to approachable & relatable or simply said, more human. The fact that she is so close to her roots, wants to help people & prefers to stay in Romania when she can stay in Dubai or Monte Carlo or any where else in the world, says so much about her.
Great interview here, can definitely feel the mutual admiration between the two champions. But please, chill it with the background music WTA comms, it's not emotive it's just annoying.
Can't see the US but I hope I'm wrong The Australian is the one I would love her to win the most particularly after 2018! As for the French Open, oh my God, I think I want her to win another more than she does, heart in my mouth every ball 😯
I am loving these one on one conversations series where players are sharing their stories. As a mum, it gives me insight on how to help my son in his tennis journey. Thank you for making these great videos.
If she wins Stuttgart, she will have a complete set of the biggest clay titles in Europe, along Rome, Madrid and Roland Garros. She will find the strenght to win a medal at Tokyo and by the end of the career, she will win at least two other Slams. She has the power and the mentality for doing so.
I can't wait for Wimbledon after as well. After watching her before I feel like she has adapted her game for grass and won't need to rally as much and can close big points quicker. I know she thinks Clay is her strongest surface but I've never seen her win matches so easily as at Wimbledon '19. She can definitely defend her title.
That was not easy trust me she just made it look easy but to put in a dominant performance like that, some of the winners she hit and only making 3 unforced errors that takes some talent and effort
Another standout interview from Chris. Halep came a long way, from her level before the reduction surgery where she was never likely to reach top 10 heights, to her work with Cahill as her coach. Lots of butting heads w/ coaches on her style & approach to the game. She was expected to excel on clay, but struggled at RG. The final vs. Ostapenko was crazy. It was a perfect storm for the Latvian as things really fell her way, but she also played the most consistent she ever had in a tournament to that point. She turned 20 the day of the SF, then overpowered Simona in the final, which she can do to most anyone on her best day. I was happiest for Halep when she won Wimbledon. She was flat out the best player in that match.
Many girls in 2021: I need to increase my breast size in order to be more successful! Simona Halep: I'm gonna cut my breast in order to be a better tennis player! :)
I want to believe that she still has the enthusiasm to win multiple grand slams. It is such such a joy to watch her victorious moments.
@ferzy09 that is also true 🙃
I'd love her to get a couple more. I was rooting for her all throughout her finals which she lost. Fingers crossed!
Halep is adorable and I love how articulate Evert is. Always a pleasure to listen to her talking about anything. Great interview!
I think her 2019 Wimbledon is the best performance ever at a final. Superb
have you seen 2014 Wimbledon final ?
Don't think so, Serena was terrible in it. Muguruza beating Williams in the French Open final for me is the one that stands out.
Nah! Bouchard was a lucky finalist , played an injured Halep and was a deer in the headlights against Petra
Give credit where it’s due , Halep had only 3 unforced errors and forced Serena into errors by being aggressive and retrieving points that otherwise would be winners against any other player.
Great performance but Steffi Graf double bagel an opponent in a grand slam final.
Simona is the perfect example of a role model, she's beautiful, honest, classy, humble and delicated amonst the other great traits she prosesses. She is most deserving of all the accolades she gets.
she could be a little more courageous but sometimes she doubts herself too much.
I love so much the kind of vibe the "SI-MO-NA, SI-MO-NA, SI-MO-NA!!!" chanting brings to tennis.
I met Simona twice . Both times in a lift in Birmingham U.K. charming and polite .
I met her too in a restaurant. Such a humble girl!
U lucky mate

That's lovely to have that connection, I'm sure she's with you supporting Simo in spirit every match you watch and loving the drama
Very genuine, honest and humble lady. ❤️Simona
She's probably the sweetest, most respectful, humble and hardworking active WTA player. I wish her a few more grand slams before she calls it quits.

Simona is a strong person. We have to hive it to her. Very tough opponent to any player. Even being a little handicapped by her height. Impressive
It’s impossible not to like and root for Simona. 😀
Te iubim, Simona! Multumim ca reprezinti Romania. Esti minunata. Felicitari!
I was waiting for this interview so much and it's finally here. 😉
After Williams sisters , Kerber and you are next gen role model.. both of you are so grounded are that infectious smile 🥰🥰😘😘😘😘

Amazing
Love the new channel but the triumphant background music the entire time is a bit much. It’s distracting.
She is so stunning also Chris wow...hope the ban will be stopped soon go Simo
Simona Halep is my second favorite Tennis Player. Monica Seles is my number one.
I love her
She’s so sweet and pretty
I
inject this right into my veins
Why all the music???
Virtue signalling.
STOP WITH THE BACKGROUND MUSIC!
Simona you are so damn cute ...
If you choose to play tennis and it's your job can someone explain to me the term "sacrifice"?
The sacrifice is not to play tennis, it is to get to the top, and to stay at the top. Being the best in any field takes huge sacrifices
SI MO NA!
When is Naomi Osaka's turn .. Ithought it will be by WTA ranking 😙😙
she is a great great player and person but I wish she hadn't caught Shriekism from Sharapova, Azaranka, et alia. sort it out. hai, simona!!!
Simoniciiiiiiiiiiiiiii >đ<
Damn even i was thinking she got big jugs in junior years......Good to know surgery worked for her.
Many girls in 2021: I need to increase my breast size in order to be more successful!

You shouldn’t do surgery to do better at tennis
