Hi Alan, lovely video and the platform looks great. Pity that P-Way have chosen to park their most hideous trucks in such a way as to block the view from the car park! We hope they’ll move them somewhere else before the Gala, although the new platform is now wide enough to accommodate many more viewers on the waiting room side. Phil

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad 75069's back, but my only complaints are the same ones I had about Taw Valley when it returned. First, I loved when it was in BR green, made it look so much more unique. Second, what a shame the chances of it ever returning to the Main Line is zero. I'm fully aware that in those days it would be another decade before I was even born, but I saw lots of old footage of it and Taw Valley romping around when I was very young. Just thought I'd put that out there.
Alan, thank you for recording and sharing these two very significant events. The platform looks excellent and 75069 both looks and sounds superb now back in action. Hopefully your closing shot of the turntable signals another thing soon to be both progress and history. I share your thoughts at 06:44, but would like to think that the double header carried the day and enabled your video to rise above the stupidity, especially with 813 and its distinctive sound. A pleasure once again Bob. The platform is very satisfying and we feel that we are working on a real station at last. Yes, that double header really makes a great sound, 75069 has a lovely sound too with that Swindon double chimney draughted 'ring'. I'm pleased that you spotted the Bridgnorth turntable as I framed the shot particularly to show it. It looks as though you have a great line-up for the Bluebell Gala. I hope that you'll be there. Why not just he pleased Will and all have got the SVR such a useful loco back from the dead I for one think it is a magnificent achievement
