well the label submissions for Grammys was terrible. They submitted for 5 members in a joint submission with nothing about what achievments the songs/album got. Just the name of artist and song/album name. I blame the label that the song didnt get an nomination.
Every producer who has worked with Jungkook say he's a genius. If you want he'll give you 20 differrent flavours on the same musical phrase. Plus he's willing to do it until the producer gets what he needs. He's incredibly professional. Hybe asked Suga not to use Jungkook for the guide vocals when Suga was writing and producing for other artists than BTS because it was too intimidating. He's on almost every BTS record providing adlibs etc. He's BTS main vocalist, amongst 4 all star vocalists.
Jungkook is the goat! Just supremely & massively talented & extremely hardworking. You might be surprised to know that it only took him 4hrs to record the vocal for this track & that he chose this song as the title track for his album after the producers of Seven (which was his official debut single) played it for him after its recording session.
He also got the song the night before he recorded it after recording Seven. Can you imagine? Not his language... learned overnight and nailed it in 4 hours! One of the seven GOATS!
I think you are the first reactor who felt a little bit of Jamiroquai in there. I mean everybody tried to feel ”comfortable” with their usual known artists when talking about Jungkook (Bruno Mars, MJ, etc). The Jamiroquai touch and association just shows what an incredible versatile voice Jungkook has. Thanks for isolating that vocal run which is coming right from the heaven. If you try his live, you will see that there is nothing engineered there. He sings exactly like this, if not better. :D
Totally agree! A lot of USA reactors tend to compare BTS only to American artists (obviously as they know the USA the most), but don't realise that whilst South Korea is influenced by USA music, there is a big world outside with much more music than just produced in the USA. BTS tends to look outside of just USA and have worked with people from other countries other than the USA, and so not ignoring the obvious MJ influence in this song, it is not the only one. I am so pleased that Jamiroquai was mentioned, as they were a massive funk acid jazz group, who also played to sold out concerts in South Korea.
I do enjoy when someone can isolate sounds because I hear certain elements I just couldn’t pick out on my own. Nice reaction. You may know that Jung Kook does many, if not most, of the background vocals on BTS tracks. When you listen to BTS tracks, you’ll hear how he does it. He’s so talented.
US industry really hate BTS. I'm sure if this song would be performed by Bruno or different American artists it would be nominated for the aoty, soty etc at the Grammys. This song slaps and it's one of the best pop song released last year.
Jung Kook performed this live - iHeart Radio with a live band, if you're interested. No backup dancers with him - just him and the band. He is an AMAZING vocalist and artist. Did you know he recorded this in the States and in just one day? He went to the US to record Seven (ft. Latto), and then recorded the rest of his GOLDEN album in about a week! He was experimenting with different styles and pushing his vocal abilities. He's just Soooo good!
It it makes sense that they're the biggest group internationally. They have such individual talent! They're all amazing. JK my bias. I can listen to him sing forever.
Junkook jest wspaniały i wyjątkowym artystą. Wszechstronne utalentowany. Ma dużo mocy w swoich piosenkach nawet jeżeli są liryczne. Tego nikt nie ma . Chociaż chłopacy też mają wspaniałe głosy ❤❤❤❤
Was?????? They still are they are The Global Super Group made up of 7 solo artists all of which are Song Writers, Composer, Producers and Musicians. Watch out world in the last quarter of 2025 and beyond.
So interesting to hear it from a technical point! But you pointed out exactly the parts I love the most aswell as JKs beautiful voice. I always get goosebumps when I hear the part with „Afterglow…“. SNTY is a song I am able to love hearing it still after one year with the same excitement as in the beginning. So stunning is the fact that Jung kook is able to sing and dance Live and it sounds better, so rare these times…
Jungkook's vocals are so amazing! He can sing in any style and he has perfect pitch! Jungkook always does the vocal guides for BTS songs and for even some of the member's solo songs
Jungkook went to LA to record his mega hit Seven. When he was done Andrew Watt said "we`re gonna do more", Jungkooks reply "more?"and that was Standing Next to You. He rehearsed the song in his hotelrom that following evening after recording Seven. Next day he recorded this song in 4 hours. Both songs was produced by Andrew Watt and Cirkut.
😂 This was made as an homage to MJ. Go back and listen to the end of the track with breath vocalizations. Sounds like Heartbreak Hotel by the Jackson 5 and The Way You Make Me Feel. Pure 70s Funk. 😘💜🫰🏻🫶🏻
Standing Next To you is one of my favorite songs this decade! would have been awesome if JK were able to accept Usher’s invitation to perform at the Super Bowl with the Usher-version of this song. Unfortunately, presumably due to military enlistment he couldn’t. I would love to hear your thoughts on “Domodachi” by RM of BTS - it’s very different from this track so it will be a really cool contrast of what else the BTS have to offer. and especially with you background I’m curious what you have to say. His whole album is AMAZING - as someone in the business I’m sure you’d find it interesting to listen to his whole album in one go, because it’s so well thought out, where the music reflects the title and the lyrics.
I guarantee the majority of music experts in their fields who are on the Grammy panel heard this track and had exactly the same reaction as you. How can this not even be nominated? How is that possible? Because BTS don't schmooze their way to the top. All they know is hard work and love for their fans.💜
Thank you for continuing to show interest in BTS's music. If you plan to explore individual members whose solo tracks you haven’t listened to yet, I recommend the following songs: RM's "Wild Flower," Suga's (Agust D) "Daechwita," J-hope's "More," and V's "Singularity" (this one is an older track, but I thought of it considering your background as a sound engineer). Each member demonstrates their unique musical prowess in their respective styles. If you wonder what theses seven talented guys create as a group, I recommend watching the "ON (Kinetic Manifesto Film)" and "Black Swan" videos. You will see their versatility : ) I discovered your channel through BTS video and have enjoyed hearing your professional insights. Thank you! 💜💜
72 year old BTS Army here. You probably know that Jungkook or JK for short is the main vocalist for BTS and BTS was recently named as the "Most Streamed Group of All Time". His label announced this track as a subtle homage to MJ. It was his third Official solo release leading up to his record setting album "Golden" that currently has 3.4 billion streams. Jung Kook is known for his rare perfect pitch. He did feature on a song with Charlie Puth called "Left and Right" a couple of years ago. Charlie is known for his perfect pitch and commented on JK having it as well. None of Jung Kook's solo releases are Kpop. They are all English and all American productions and should not be considered Kpop for that reason. Even his dancers are famous American dancer/choreographers. Jungkook and Pdogg are the only Koreans involved with creating his solo work. Pdogg, a BTS mainstay, traveled to L.A. as a vocal engineer during JK's recording sessions. "Standing Next to You" was written and produced by Grammy Award winning Producer of the Year Andrew Watt and a team of notable American/Canadian songwriters that included Jon Bellion and Ali Tamposi. It was co-written and produced by the well known Canadian producer/songwriter known as Cirkut. It was recorded at Watt's L.A. Studio and this video was filmed in Budapest Hungary. You are probably aware that Andrew Watt has produced albums for Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Post Malone, the Rolling Stones new album and other notables. The Canadian producer Cirkut also has impressive credits such as producing for "The Weeknd" and many others. Watt and Cirkut plus others from their team of songwriters were also involved with his first official solo release "Seven" Feat. Latto and also his album "Golden". "Seven" broke streaming records right out of the gate. It is the fastest song in Spotify history to reach 100 million streams and scored an "All Kill" debut on the Billboard charts: #1 Billboard Hot 100 #1 Billboard Global 200. #1 Billboard Global 200 excluding U.S. Both of his next two singles debuted in the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 including this song. This song was preceded by "3D" Feat. Jack Harlow. Thanks for your nice reaction! 💜
His first Song from his Album Golden was Seven ft Latto this song breake all records nr 1 at Billboard 100, 200, Global, Spotify and 3 guiness records, also he did 3 D fr Jack harlow and did a remix whid Justin Timberlake on this song
Good Review! Jk and this song deserve all the appreciation as it is a very well made song further elevated by JK's vocals! Side note- your Jack Skellington-edward scissorhands-beetle juice framed artwork is to die for!😊
When bighit announced this song as the title track of the album, I was a bit skeptical. Seven, the first single released 4 months before is already huge so how can snty top that. Pls listen to RM latest album, Right Place Wrong People ! His album will get you into a new journey of ‘sound’ . Very unique, timeless and weird . Very in love with his super cohesive, latest album, from the first to the last songs 👌🏼✨ RM is the leader of BTS . He is the main songwriter for all of their songs, he is a great lyricist and also one of their main producer & composer for all BTS songs . Jungkook repeatedly said the main reason he join BTS and this small company (back in 2013) solely bcs of RM , he is a genius guy with 148 iq . Other members keep complimenting him as a good leader and someone who can always inspire each one of bts members and able to brings out each one of their own potential . RM writing music specifically suits each members is the reason why BTS became this much popular .
Blanket snubbed by the scammys even though it is brilliant, produced by top American producers and sung so skillfully in English - and don’t get me started on the mv choreo, quality and execution… wtf scammys …
2 down 5 to go 👍 As I said on Jimin's video assuming you like what you hear/see so far. 6:32 Of course BTS is a super power group, they are not the biggest group in the world for nothing. They deserve their popularity and fame. And i like that they are really humble
Get ready to fall off your jazzy R'n'B chair with V. Bring a seatbelt. Despite him having a fantastic solo album with delicious tracks and a few others that came out after, as a first introduction I'd recommend Stigma live, has to be the live, the resonance hits different 🔥🔥🔥💜
I really hope and pray in 2025 he gets a Grammy(ies) for this song/album. I selfishly was hoping you would have isolated the background vocals. Eg. @2:12 or @4:55 @5:00 etc... Jungkook is usually the one doing background vocals for all the members. It doesn't sound like him, so was wondering who he chose to do background for him. Pop culture question we may never know the answer to.

Jin from BTS got released from the SK army in june and has just released a solo album called Happy, you might want to investigate that. How is it that there are so many people in the music industry who still haven't listened to BTS, or are only now giving them a try? It mystifies me that people in the industry must have deliberately not bothered to check out the performers loved by the public.
Jin's new album is also worth a listen. It's not that I don't love the Astronaut to death, but it's so heavily Coldplay influenced that it's hard to really hear Jin's unique energy. Try Running Wild or Another Level or I'll Come for You from Jin's album Happy. I personally love I'll Come for You because they leave his breathing in, which makes it so very emotional. It's like (breath) (sigh out the line of the song) (next breath)(sigh out the next line).....Also the lyrics are very moving if you know how they describe his time away at the military service and his promise to come back to ARMY. oops, you already did Running Wild-- I went back to see what I've missed. And what's more, I already commented on it. Aging brain betrays me again. Thanks!
Jungkook unbeatable. But please do V next. A different flavor of unbeatable. As for the military, Jin and J-Hope just got out. The other five will be in there till the middle of next summer. And they all prepared things for us Armys to enjoy. It’s been dropping for us steadily all along with new things to come out in December!
How could this not be nominated for a grammy?!
Because it isn’t lining the right pockets
because he's playing clean in a dirty industry
Because they didn't sell their souls.
well the label submissions for Grammys was terrible. They submitted for 5 members in a joint submission with nothing about what achievments the songs/album got. Just the name of artist and song/album name. I blame the label that the song didnt get an nomination.
cuz he’s an Asian, and we all know scammy is racism
You should listen to him Live. That's the mesure of real artist.
Indeed
Yeah....i think so
reaaal, jungkook live is insane

Stay Alive by Jungkook, prod by Suga is a masterpiece both vocally and production wise.
th-cam.com/video/17dS_tm3c0Q/w-d-xo.htmlsi=508QV9RzmPT5ZF3l
Stay Alive is the best from JK ever for me.
@friede. I agree. His vocal technique, versatility and range coupled with Sugas production is on another level.
JK with Prod by SUGA…masterpiece.

JUNGKOOK GLOBAL POP STAR 👑🤩 SUPERSTAR 🌟✨💫🔥
Jungkook put himself on another level with this song. He’s the 1st singer in kpop to be talked about & praised in the R&B, hip-hop & soul community.

Jungkook is the main vocalist in Bts and the youngest, he joined the company when he was 13 years old
Oh and JK did all his own back up vocals no other voice on the track.
And imagine the man is even better live💜
JK~~~~~

Deserved! ❤️
Jungkook's vocals are so amazing! He can sing in any style and he has perfect pitch! Jungkook always does the vocal guides for BTS songs and for even some of the member's solo songs

Jungkook el principal vocalista de Bts 🔥🔥🔥 demasiado talento

Usher liked it so much he approached JK to do a remix, which even has its own video
Listen to him perform this song (+ Hate You) live on iheart radio. he sounds even better because he is with a live band and his voice shines.
Great reaction…check out the video Jungkook did with Usher. It’s this song “standing next to you - Usher remix video”.
😂 This was made as an homage to MJ. Go back and listen to the end of the track with breath vocalizations.

There's and Usher remix of this as well and they did a performance mv together
Diana Ross said JK and SNTY. She said she loved the song and that he was reminiscent of MJ
and pls also check his solo song ( Seven & 3D ) his whole album Golden is a hit
When bighit announced this song as the title track of the album, I was a bit skeptical. Seven, the first single released 4 months before is already huge so how can snty top that. I'm actually nervous the day before they released snty😅.

Pity the Grammy didn't choose this song to be nominated😏.
IMO, what BTS is doing in this chapter 2 aka solo era is divide and conquer.
BTS already has huge fanbase but as a group they're still restricted somehow since it is group projects.
But when they release solo album, you can see 7 individual music taste. Each member tackled their own target market. I think they got huge wave of new fans during this chapter.
Historically, we seldom see idol group members go to the military together. Those not going will continue to release music.
BTS went to the military at almost the same time and prepared lots of contents to be release during their service. The amount of contents they have in store enabled them to released it every few weeks throughout this time.
The base line reminds me of Earth, Wind and Fire
Please live performance of this in New York times Square. Thanks 😊

RM writing music specifically suits each members is the reason why BTS became this much popular .
I was gonna say if he's looking for videos I think Lost would b3 a good fit from RPWP
Live is even better😍
Blanket snubbed by the scammys even though it is brilliant, produced by top American producers and sung so skillfully in English - and don’t get me started on the mv choreo, quality and execution… wtf scammys …
This was fun! I bet V's album is next... maybe Slow Dancing?😊
Live performance please!!
2 down 5 to go 👍 As I said on Jimin's video assuming you like what you hear/see so far. Here is the recommended song from me for the other 5 so you will get a pretty good idea who is whom so when you check out BTS as whole you don't get overwhelmed 😉💜
RM(Rapper, Leader): "Wildflower"
Jin(Vocal): "Astronaut"
Suga/AugustD(Rapper): "Daechwita"
JHope(Rapper): "Boy meets evil "
V(Vocal): "Singularity"
Love the way you separate the tracks, hope it will grow so I get more of this 😎💜
Agreed w all of the. But please for RM, I’d do RM’s song called Groin
Uuhhh Jamiroquai I get it 👍 been a long time since I’ve had the pleasure to listen to him. Anyway JK is as always amazing 🎶💜
Love you Jungkook 🥰
Seems you started with the vocal line first (Jimin, Jin, JK, V and rap line is RM, Suga, JHope)
For V, I suggest his song Singularity or from his solo album, Slow Dancing.
RM Groin and or Nuts.
Suga - Daechwita.
JHope- More or Arson.
Really enjoyed your reaction so hope to see more BTS reactions 💜
Love you're reaction ❤ Hope see more bts and then live performances ( 2019 MMA )jungkook have amazing voice 😊😊
Love this song

Check out version with Usher 😅
King of kpop Jeon Jungkook 🔥 🔥🔥🔥
You have to RM - Lost. This song sound is CRAZY. 💜💜💜
Thanks for this; for the next videos, I think you will enjoy j-hope's More, RM Wildflower, V Slow Dancing, and Agust D Daechwita--the classic
It’s an amazing tune. If you love the base you should react to Singularity by BTS member V. Gives me chills every time.
Bts IS a superpower group 🔥🔥🔥

Thank you for a fun reaction❤️ I think you would love RM Nuts and Groin as solo projects.. they are all superstars🥰
I love the beetlejuice/edward/jack picture! And great reaction :)

Can you please react to BTS Jin’s debut album “Happy”? He has amazing songs in it including “Falling” and “Heart on the Window.” 😊
