i have this as an intermittent issue - now works roughly every 10 clicks of the switch.

So, the answer is unplug and then plug again the connectors hidden next to the light?

Have the same trouble off a V50, its no power in the conector , , have help before and start upp the car, but now help it that not enymore

Oddly enough, I changed the bulb in the same location and the door stopped working at some point after that and then I noticed the light didn't come on either. I'll try unplugging and see it there is a wire not connecting.
There is a fuse box near the tail light on the drivers side which may have to be replaced.

7 minutes of nothing except unplug harness at the light.....useless for most except DO check that fuse
