Epic and still stands today as one of the greatest rpgs of all time. It’s in my top 5 and will always be remembered for its simplistic game play and beautiful story.
I haven't played much of ff6, only really heard about it from others and getting some of the story from the now dead ffrk but this theme from the very first time i heard it touched upon something i can't really explain. It evokes so many emotions of a once vibrant world now lost, like a civilization that was long ago ground into dust and while no memories remain of those who inhabited said ruins, you feel as if you can understand it regardless.
I get that feeling too, but I think that was unintentional. This music played while Terra was being led by a couple imperial soldiers on a march towards a cave containing some valuable material. So, I think what Uematsu was trying to do was simply combine a "marching band" beat with Terra's theme, and the result was maybe more emotional and dreamy than he intended.
Yes this was intentional. I think you are talking about audio bitrate when a bigger bitrate equals a better quality. For this kind of video (audio), since I don't care about the image I just put a snes image of the intro (iirc the snes resolution is 360p). And for the music I just took a youtube video and extract the audio from it. I don't have a high quality lossless file of the ost. The thing is I don't hear any difference at all between a compressed audio (like this video) and a lossless audio. I've always thought only musicians notice the difference. If you still want a lossless loop, just get a high quality audio (wav or flac for example), then open Audacity and the file, select the part to loop, and click on Effect > Repeat to loop the part. It just takes 5 minutes to do. Hope I solved your problem.

I love it, but it's only 480p... can you please upload it in an HD quality, i'm pretty sure the sound is less compressed then?

360p kinda has its charm for this game. I’m watching at that quality
la Super NES intègre et un son ADPCM à 8 canaux cetais rare dans les annee 90
WTF? you completely omitted the bridge of the song therefore loosing 90% of it's depth.
What do you mean by the bridge of the song? I intentionally crop the Terra/Tina part and make a loop of it so there isn't the full intro music indeed.
Hola.
