This game... the beating soul of Final Fantasy. The indelible core. All layers removed, and the heart of the genre, having reached its full potential was exposed. Games grew up, right here. Paving the way for all that would come after. The steady climb reached it's crescendo, plateauing and setting the stage for part seven to break through into mainstream consciousness. I've been waiting a long time to hear a new version of the song that sounded "right", and this is it. Terra's theme has this feeling of hopeful sadness that is very easy to lose. The Distant Worlds cover (and most orchestrations) sound too happy. The Piano Collections version veered too far the other way and lost all semblance of optimism, and that is also not an accurate reflection of the original. Congrats on threading the needle. =)

I remember playing this game as a kid when it was brand new in 1994 and this song brings tears to my eyes. At the time I heard the beauty and power, but didn't realize the perfect composition of the Terra's theme, the fact that it so perfectly reflects the conflicted nature of the character, both military and violent (the rolling drums) yet sweet and wild (the flute). No one remember setzer and gau. rip
People used Cyan?
@@daruthebeast gau was one of my favorites lol
Boi you left out Celes!!! That is unforgivable man!!! Runic for life!!!
I was JUST a few days ago wishing you would do this, since I had the original version get stuck in my head out of the blue. I had decided I was gonna ask for it on your Patreon next time I got a chance, since I knew you would make a masterpiece worthy of the original. Guess I should have checked to see what was coming up!
Another amazing remix here.
The part until 1:35 seems more upbeat than the original
Slightly, but it's still got that overlying tone of hope and ahhh I love it
Sounds just like the original with real instruments! Awesome.
This has to be one of the greatest piece of game themes, i feel unworthy for not taking down the empire after hearing this on youtube
I love this theme. ^^
I love Terra :P
I Love Terra! XD
Me too, warrior of FF6
Hell yeah !!!
I beat this game to death and I still love every second of it.
Absolutely beautiful stuff there man, I have never played the original game when it came out at the time and had recently played it on my SNES mini and was instantly blown away by the music, I honestly think this is better than the original, as good as the original is. Stunning stuff there, you should be proud.
Instant like and playlist the moment I heard the flute XD this is excellent and a masterpiece remake/remix
Ff series has so many amazing osts that i couldnt quote all the ones i love, but that one has a special place in my heart. It's just beautiful
oh artema fantasy 6, this opening still legend and every time i hear, almost drop a tear
Yo THANK YOU SO MUCH for letting us use this as background music. Seriously so generous of you. Will be sure to credit you and provide links to your vid/channel. Godspeed.
They said it would take about 20 to 25 years to remake this game with today’s technology
スクウェアの映画的な演出が一つの頂点を迎えた作品だった
Best final fantasy ever.
I'm So Happy you 'Redid' this. it's an amazing song!
とても良いタイミングでプレリュードのテーマがハープで流れるだけでなく、中低音の楽器の配置がとても心地よく、ドラマチックです。
リメイク版のゲームで是非聴きたい、名編曲だと思います。
This game would really benefit by having a more, "modern" port.
i played ff6 after 7 and 9. but this piece of art struck me
Used to whistle this song to my daughter as a lullaby when she couldn't sleep
One of my favorite final fantasy tracks. Thanks and keep up the good work.
Those nostalgic memories of what was still haunts me til' this very day, I absolutely loved it! 💕 great job on the remix! 👍
Main Theme of FF7 can bite it. THIS is the best Final Fantasy overworld theme.
Nothing screams insecurity more than putting down another theme to boost this one, but this theme is indeed beautiful, just as FF7's also is.
Different world. Different theme.
Interesting how you blended the battle march of Omen from the opening scene, with the transition from Terra's Theme from the world map, I like it.
Excellent music remake, This game changed my entire life for the better as a kid growing up in the 90's
This rendition oughta be included in with the current mods out. A World Reborn - are you reading this?! So cinematic!
Please, FF6 remake with a victorian/steampunk setting similar to Lies of P and remade soundtrack would be SO AMAZING.
Damn.....this song brings back sad childhood memories...I couldn't beat this game, I got stuck when everyone was separated. I found a few character but couldn't find the rest.....I'm gonna play it on mobile and beat this game so it can rest in peace with the others that I have beaten.
