Cody is a hero that loves to fight. And when there are no bad guys to fight. He knows he is dangerous. It's why he waits in jail until the bad guy shows up, then he escapes to kick there ass. Cool guy.
Cody…my all time favorite. The knife spam slash and throw combo with a juggling kick hiding behind it was so dope. Had a fireball punch around, long range slide, his ground taunt was hilarious if you spam ult Edit: Past being the most fun to use, he’s still S tier to me even against grab spammers. His 3 angled kicks still break any charge counter, and if you high kick them then you can always juggle them into a second one and use an energy bar for a criminal upper before they hit the ground. Not to mention once they’re on the ground I always go for the knife, and sometimes I just throw it while spamming kicks behind it. High kick if they jump the knife, medium straight kick if they guard it as you add energy bars and damage. Not to mention you can throw the knife, and throw a regular rock behind it, and time an energy bar slide kick as they’re about to guard the rock and once they trip to it just pick up the knife again. The knifes, and rocks are bait to get them to jump into a high kick, or guard wrong into another kick. My favorite visual past Cody shanking someone for fatal w a 6 piece stab, is them going for an arial and meeting a high kick, and sometimes as they fall to ground level you can medium straight kick them all the way into the corner first opening they gave you and grab the knife while taunting laying down.
Probably because Cody is one of the few characters to actually have depth in their character. Ok, I think SFV is better than SFIV in ALOT of ways, but little moments of character interaction like this are GREAT, and SFV could ABSOLUTELY use more stuff like this.
He only takes them off to stretch his wrists every now and again. One of the older games had a taunt where he would take then off for a bit and put them back on.
