My response was to Mike Scott who posted, “bring back Matt”. I assume by that syntax, he is unaware the choice of Matt leaving was Matt’s, not Ian nor LLCP.
People at TXG should take note that a MAJORITY of the comments on all their recent videos are about Matty instead of the content. It’s the people who bring us back watching these videos, not the clubs.

Great to see Matt again. His transitions from swinging to interacting is really great. I think ian is great also but they had such a great dynamic together.

Rob, give Matt a big hug from all of us to him if/when you see him again. I'm not here to judge whatever happened between TXG, CC and Matt's departure. That's something left up the individuals to sort out. All I know is that I'm still dedicated to Ian and his team. I've spent $$$$ there over the past couple of years and nothing is going to sour my opinion moving forward. Yes, Matt was a huge contributor, however he has made his own decision and we have to respect that. I wish the best for all parties involved. We might just be surprised how the future evolves as well. Who knows??

Very excited for Ian and the TXG team on what this allows them to do with the brand and expansion. People all over Canada are going to be able to get the Tour Experience now which is great for golf in Canada. I was as big of a fan of Matt as anyone and him leaving is especially sad for me as I won't have as many opportunities to interact with him personally. I just hope whatever he's able to move on to gives him the opportunity for health and happiness that we all want for him. I can say I'm a big fan of Mike's as he's been so generous with me in the interactions we've had and the little bit of time we've spent together. He's doing great and will only get better. Being on camera ain't easy!

Great to see Matt back on the channel (even if it’s his swan song). Ian and Mike are both incredibly knowledgeable as they are both incredible fitters. The element that Matt brought was asking the questions that educated the viewer. Change is hard…and not sure this change is for the better.
Bitter sweet indeed! Although a nice surprise to see Matt gracing us once more on TH-cam. Really shows that Matt can’t be replaced and that dynamic he had with Ian will be next to impossible to replicate with anyone else.

As a lefty, I enjoyed seeing Matt hitting bombs and testing clubs, but I come here for Ian's knowledge, experience, and personality. The information and insight that I have received from this channel is truly unique, and appreciated.

Any gains now are in forgiveness, and in lightening weight or adjusting head weight or shift weight or counterbalanced etc, so they can be swung faster. Tiny tiny increments now, if you gain a recentish driver that has been properly fit.
@@oldgold5848 True, I'm not planning any major Club purchases this year for that reason. I'm just looking forward to some warmer/dryer weather so that I can venture out on the Course again. Very much a fair-weather golfer these days, unless it gets above 12degs my 70-year-old body doesn't turn!

Here's a small example of Matt's popularity amongst my golfing buddies.. I recently got a Ping G425 with a Fuji Pro 2.0 (white) 6x shaft. Almost everytime someone sees it, they say "oh, youre hitting the "Matt-attack". Those who've been watching TXG over the years will get the reference.
Gonna miss Matt crushing driver in the studio, been watching TXG since I started golfing two years ago and the dynamic of Ian and Matt was the best. You will be sorely missed Matty!

I always identified a bit more with Matt. Not in playing ability, obviously- but he asked good questions that he didn't necessarily know the answers to. It made the videos more approachable. You will be missed @dirtydawg
GREAT video! Love the interaction with Jose and Matt. Great variety of shot and comparisons across heads. As someone who gets above center some like Matt, really interesting to see his results with the LS compared to previous ones.
Very nice product line being offered by Cobra. In addition, priced very nicely as well given some of the newly released products by it competitors. That aside, very honorable and respectful on TXG's part to lets us all see our friend Matty on the channel again; hence TXG could have easily, done a complete NEW video in regards to this new Cobra drivers release, BUT DID NOT. This goes to show us ALL AND TO MATTY: TXG IS and WILL ALWAYS BE TXG!
Ian and Mikey have plenty of insight / knowledge to offer, although Matty perfectly mimics the part of me that gets genuinely excited and inquisitive about new equipment / technology and that's always entertaining, and relatable, to me. I'll miss Matty, and the chemistry between him and Ian
By all accounts, Matt was loved (and is a good dude). I hope the channel has more swings from mere mortals like Ronnie hitting the equipment. It gives the viewer a better sense on how the equipment works-- having someone swinging 120 mph who is close to the sweet spot only helps me so much.
The content is so much more enjoyable to watch when Matt was in it. After watching some of the new videos compared to this just shows how dry the new content is. The new stuff lacks the personal touch that Matt was able to bring to the channel. Matt was a great narrator. All the other golf channels I watch have a personality that brings something unique have it being Crossfield/Al/Rick/2ndSwing, not sure what TXG is going to do to make these fun to watch again

Matt was the lefty Iron Byron… he could hit a spaceship on the end of a broomstick and smooth it 340+. His performance, intelligence, and spot on questions made the channel what it is in my opinion. As the self appointed "Grandpa" here I'd like to offer some old man perspective if that's alright. For over a week now many here have been going through the five stages of grief over Matt's departure. That's understandable as he was a nice young man who we all enjoyed watching. However, it's important to remember that Matt also made us aware that he's a young man dealing with some very serious mental health issues in the form of depression and anxiety. These issues are so severe that his doctors turned to transcranial magnetic stimulation, an almost last ditch effort for patients who are not responding to more conventional treatments. Many at this level of illness end up in tragic outcomes. With that being said, perhaps Ian deserves a bit more credit for being the level of friend and client that he was to Matt? It had to be difficult for TXG from a business standpoint but we never once heard Ian be anything but supportive. Perhaps, just perhaps, Matt made a decision that was best for him both professionally and medically and Ian is now making decisions that are best for his business and his family to move on with his life "post Matt"? Regardless, perhaps it's time to turn the page? Perhaps it would also be best for Matt if everyone expressed the love and support for him on his Instagram page rather than doing so here in the form of reopening a wound for Ian, as he doesn't really deserve that. Just some thoughts from an old man. Thanks for letting me share them.
I like what you said, but it's based on the assumption that Matt left due to mental health reasons. I think the recent events and evidence points to Matt leaving after Club Champion bought out TXG and the change in mission and credibility that came with that.
Everybody bringing out new drivers, pretty soon you will be running the ball out and placing it where you want it. Most are not like Ian, that will just be further in the woods. Great video explaining the different heads. Stay safe.

As the self appointed "Grandpa" here I'd like to offer some old man perspective if that's alright. For over a week now many here have been going through the five stages of grief over Matt's departure. That's understandable as he was a nice young man who we all enjoyed watching. However, it's important to remember that Matt also made us aware that he's a young man dealing with some very serious mental health issues in the form of depression and anxiety. These issues are so severe that his doctors turned to transcranial magnetic stimulation, an almost last ditch effort for patients who are not responding to more conventional treatments. Many at this level of illness end up in tragic outcomes.
With that being said, perhaps Ian deserves a bit more credit for being the level of friend and client that he was to Matt? It had to be difficult for TXG from a business standpoint but we never once heard Ian be anything but supportive. Perhaps, just perhaps, Matt made a decision that was best for him both professionally and medically and Ian is now making decisions that are best for his business and his family to move on with his life "post Matt"? Regardless, perhaps it's time to turn the page? Perhaps it would also be best for Matt if everyone expressed the love and support for him on his Instagram page rather than doing so here in the form of reopening a wound for Ian, as he doesn't really deserve that. Just some thoughts from an old man. Thanks for letting me share them.
I like what you said, but it's based on the assumption that Matt left due to mental health reasons. I think the recent events and evidence points to Matt leaving after Club Champion bought out TXG and the change in mission and credibility that came with that.
