  • While working on the massive topics of Demons and Demon Lords, I decided to broaden my research to the general scourge that is the Fiends. Take a look at what it means to be a fiend, where they come from and what is to be expected from the majority. Of course they have their differences, but we'll get into specifics later.

It’s basically criminal that you aren’t one of the biggest D&d channels out there. I’m crossing my fingers the algorithm remedies this soon. Thanks for your consistency and all your content.
Also the sound on this one was great!

Wow! Thank you so much for the kind and thoughtful message. Thankfully my videos have been getting a bit more traction recently so I hope that trend continues!

You truly deserve much, much more subscribers and visibility, this is a beautiful video Nic! It's refreshing to see a series that covers the various aspects of d&d with this level of quality; it's especially refreshing seeing you citing the moral debates at the core of the Planescape setting, wich I feel it's a level of depth that it's missing in the recent editions.
    Keep up your great work!

Thank you so much! And I totally agree that the inter-personal and moral aspects of 2nd editions Planescape were one of the best parts of it. Especially the randoms quotes and notes from other scholars.

What's the closest 5e equivalent to dimensional anchor? A long time ago, you asked at the end of your videos if anyone would be interested in conversions of old spells that didnt make it to 5e. I know I would be

Honestly it's pretty hard to find an exact equivalent in 5th edition for dimensional anchor. Antimagic Field prevents Planar travel within the area. Forcecage causes a trapped creature to make a Charisma Saving throw to planar travel while within the cage. Forbiddance also has a similar effect but as for a single target, not that I can find. But I'll definitely consider putting dimensional anchor first on my list of spells to convert.

Morality is not subjective in the context of dungeons and dragons. There is an alignment system that is objectively set by the gods. If a person believes they are doing good by avenging their fathers murderer, but in actuality are killing the wrong person, that is objectively an evil act. Evil, good, law, chaos, and neutrality are all clearly defined.

@@nicthedm7650 there’s even an earlier version of the Blood War in Palladium between two warring factions of demonic creatures fighting over hell. Seriously,Palladium published the Minion War a few years before TSR introduced the Blood War.

So you're actually incorrect about the Aranians and the succubus they are actually female in the traditional sense and that's because of their origins both of them started out as the female servants and creations of a former female goddess this goddess no longer exists and those that didn't start out that way started out as female creation of the upper plans and when they fell they kept that form I can prove this by pointing to the fact that the succubus routinely have children in fact the wife of the ruler of the nine hells bore a daughter that is now one of the most powerful Lords of the nine and that's not the only incidents of a succubus having children it's a common occurrence this indicates that on some level the succubus displaying female secondary sex indicators is not a coincidence or some type of tactic it's in fact a physical representation of their nature
