I made this for the first time a few years ago. DELICIOUS!!! This is definitely going on the menu! I had almost forgotten how good it was. Thank you for the reminder. Also, for the great tip of swooshing the butterflied shrimp in water. We buy the USA Wild caught extra jumbo shrimp from Restaurant Depot and the veins/sand tracts are huge! Your videos always make me smile. I just adore your family. Just a funny story... we had a cat who lived to 22. He got whatever he wanted and what he wanted was shrimp and lobster sauce. Whenever we ordered Chinese food, we would get a pint just for him. He just ate the sauce. He loved it! ❤
Thank you Bill. I used to get this at our local little hole-in-the-wall restaurant in SF. One of my favorites! The little local places used to put out some great food. ❤️
I haven’t had this dish in decades, but I do remember that it was the clear version and very tasty. Definitely have to give it a try, and thank you for sharing the recipe. Happy Holidays!🍤🍚💕👍🎄
My mom loved this a ton ordering Chinese take-out when I was growing up. It really confused me as a kid why it had the lobster name without any lobster meat, so thanks for giving me an answer finally all these years later with that article lol. I'm in New England, so the darker version is all I've ever seen from Chinese places but it's cool to see this lighter version as well! Looks great 👍
When showing technical duties as such, The camera man should zoom in on what you're doing. So we as the viewers know how you're doing it and what it's supposed to look like. Just saying

More shrimp, less shoyu
LMAO!!!! It's millet....
I like to watch your channel. But can you make shorter videos?
Could have edited the shrimp cleaning segment quite a bit.
