Paul. What you say makes a lot of sense, and I've always lived by these standards. But most men I speak to say that women don't appreciate kindness, consideration, doing things for her, loving husbands etc. According to them, women want a man who doesn't care about them, who treats them bad. It's the whole Alpha vs Beta male thing. I've been been a typical Beta male throughout my 20 year marriage, and most of the time I've been treated very badly and disrespectfully by my wife. And it just feels terrible, horrible, undeserved. Every day is a disappointment. Still, I keep being loyal, I keep making a living to support my family, and I keep loving my 2 kids with all my heart. It's just sad, and it makes me think that those who say bad guys are the types women like are right.
I would say that you are mixing up sensitivity with being nice. You might consider taking yourself out of the range of fire by recognizing her attacks don't hit anything that isn't there. Be compassionate. Recognize her pain is driving her attacks, not your behaviors.
I think it's more of: "why do women change after children" After women have children they become self conscious because their body changes forever and they are sleep deprived and all of their time goes to taking care of everyone else and they barely have time to even take a decent shower. So their overall self care goes down which then also makes their self esteem go down. And when the husband isnt helping her with the baby or children so she can go have a bath and relax or he isnt telling her she is pretty anymore it makes her feel even worse which then also comes out through her appearance. Because if you feel good on the inside you'll look good on the outside.
Women should change after they have children, too, for the better and for their husband's sake as that is what love between husband and wife is all about, both constantly improving their love for each other.
@@TheMarriageFoundation yes both should change for the better. But the topic of the video is "why do women change after marriage" which is more viewed in a negative perspective. People should continually be improving for the better, and becoming a mother and father is organically going to make positive changes on people. But since the topic was more of a question that people have in a negative perspective I think it's not that women change after marriage but more so that they change after giving birth. And that's when alot of negative feelings about herself come into play which in turn can have a negative effect on the marriage.
Bear in mind that we get a broader view of things here because of how many people write in. Many wives, in fact, do change long before having children and it is important to understand the reasons why in a context that is useful. I try my best.
