Small world, your videos encouraged me to go all in on becoming a pilot. Me, my wife and child uprooted and moved to Kansas City for an accelerated pilot program. Flying 4-5 days a week, working on instrument now! Then you buy the plane that I seen while on a tour at KiloC. Maybe one day our paths will cross! Congratulations on the purchase!
Crazy I’m a A&P and a IA as well and I’m literally uprooting everything in four weeks to go to Pilot school flying 3-4 days a week. I never seen your videos and it’s just popped up. I think it’s kinda crazy lol
Great vid! My son started training me in an SR20. Fun plane, but he’s transitioning to the airlines now. New instructor and I are now in a C150, but who’s complaining? Just happy to be flying and accomplishing a life long dream! Thanks for the moto!!
I’m on my second Cirrus now (2021 SR22T G6, & now a 2024 SR22T G7) - it’s a great plane. I look forward to watching your hopeful video series on upgrading your new SR20.
Hey I'd be very interested in the Archer. Located in the Atlanta area, in the process of getting my PPL, looking to purchase a plane in the next month or two. Would love to get a message about the Archer. Might work out great. Thanks
Great to see what goes on in buying a plane. (From someone who knows nothing about aviation) almost as simple as buying a car. Can we have an updated 'garage tour' type thing, well it'd be a hangar tour of all the current air craft in your fleet, how often you fly them and how you choose what to fly on what trips etc. Keep smashing it - All the way from England!
Had me cracking up ‘it’s gonna be weird landing not having thrust reversers’ 😂 You normally look cool calm and confident UNTIL you get out of a Gulfstream and into a single bouncing around the sky. Love it. Maybe use it as a trainer for students coming up. A Cirrus at a Cessna training price…. Keep em coming!
Holy shit that’s my favorite plane I saw it sold I took my first solo in that plane and my checkride. I’ll watch the video now but truly it’s a great plane.
SNA GA flying can bring out the nerves. I am lucky to have done my training there and work out for old Atlantic before ACI south was a thing. Good stuff Tommy!
Love my 01’ SR22 Gen1. Runs smooth as hell.. new engine new prop new paint. 2 GTN650s DFC90 AP normally aspirated. Take my girl all over the fuckin place in it S/N 100
Not use to those little bumps huh. That's the world of piston engines at low altitudes, But hey, you will get use to it. I would love to be able to rent out that plane if you think of doing that. I'm based in Phoenix though. I do have prior experience in the Cirrus SR20, with over 160 hours in that make and model.
Except you go to the shop and you are charged 300 USD to reconnect 2 cables they disconnected in the first place… but they avoid to tell you that was the issue.
Great buy! Can't wait to see the final product. Will keep an eye out for that Arrow you're selling . Would love to fly that Cirrus once I get an FAA license 🙂
Hey it looks like you have ac controls on that panel in the cirrus right? You were saying it’s hot is why I ask…. Also curious if it was sentiment that made this the plane or just the right deal? Do you look at experimental birds like the evo or is that not your bag? Digging the content.
ATP pilot, A&P, look's like your working hard in life. My dad had a crushed ankle in his 70's. Several surgeries and a fused together bone made it tough for him to go from a parking lot to the back of a store without stopping to sit down. He was too proud to ever get a Handicap Sticker. As a fellow A&P IA, thought your channel was pretty cool. Always had an affection with the G4. No ill wishes, you might be the most awesome guy in the world, but I'm scratching my head right now!
Man, been watching for a while. I am 47, retired military. I started flying back in the end of Jan. 20 hours of training so far and really love flying. I don't know if I will make it a career, but seeing what you do definitely inspires me to give it a shot.
Really appreciate all the aspects of this video, it was super cool to see the fun aspects of buying it in the same video that shows some of the challenges of getting back in a single piston after hanging in the Gulfstream. Thanks for sharing, this was an awesome look at how cool plane ownership can be and I wish you luck with all the work being done to it soon!
Good luck with it, can’t wait to see it when it’s all done! Hopefully my gear bag was in the recent orders you shipped, really looking forward to getting it!
Hey, brother appreciate everything that you do out there and let us know how to get into the pilot sbut. I'm 60 years old now. Even though airplanes have always been my life. I have never got a chance to get into one I know all the instruments. And everything, but never did it. Keep making a good Videos.
When businesses price things like 9.99 they’re trying to imply less then 10. When buying you should say 10 to make it seem more then 9.99. Regardless I think they still would have counteroffered since it dropped already from 189 to 169. 40k below the original listing is pretty darn good especially for a cirrus.
Interesting that you come from a place privilege complaining about bad everything is, even though you live in relative success & wealth, & doing what you do. 😂 You don’t seem to appreciate from where you came from to where you are now. Makes me wonder what you are trying to prove by doing this youtube channel. I admit. You do provide me in interesting perspective of how wealthy & seemingly privileged ppl behave. 🤔🤓
wtf are you talking about? I was homeless in 2007. I have zero debt and got no handouts from anyone along the way. I am 100% self made. Eat a bag of dicks with this bullshit. Go be a crybaby on someone else’s page.
You are not the only TH-cam creator that frequently uses the phrase "you guys" - I'm wondering why ? Is your intended audience only males ? Do you address your Mother as "Sir" ? Why don't you use "you" instead of "you guys" ?
You shouldn't fly the papi 2 white and 2 red in a single piston engine aircraft, if that engine were to quit you definitely wouldn't make the runway when you were finals. My CFI taught me that back in the day and now I squirm every time I see it lol
Worst pilot ever… Jokes jokes lol I feel like painted black with green accents would be dope, match the gear down branding. But would be hot afffff. Or some sort of checkerboard design. Some real skater dirtbag grew up and got rich vibe hahaha Lemme get those A30s bro!!
Hah don’t be this is all easily financeable. This plane was cheap, I’ve already got a jet that out performs the vision by a LOT with the exception of fuel burn
I get not knowing where a business is on the airfield. Instead, can I roast you for not having a Sentry ADS-B receiver w/CO2 sensor built in? Does that stick em card actually work?
Man, you're lucky. You just signed less paperwork on that plane than I've signed, so far, on the house we just bought. Seems like the paper goes on forever. But, it will be worth it. Being a private pilot, myself, as well as a big Cirrus fan, I'm looking forward to your videos on what you have planned for your new purchase. Good luck and happy flying.
Not on Instagram for the Bose A30s. But nice that you are helping to get certs. On one of your Videos you helped out a student pilot, And gave him cash for a lesson. That was awesome !! I am a former C.A.P. Cadet, that got the bug in 1979. Thank you for your videos. They have been still encouraging me to finish off my Certification for private pilot. Turning 58 June 1st. Still working on it !! Keep producing these Videos. Thank you PS how much are you selling your Piper PA28A?
Any ETA on merch shipping out soon? I know you’re a busy guy but it’s been two months now. My tracking number has said “label created” for the past month. Really looking forward to putting the new flight bag to use
Naw man you are good!! I am curious tho as to why you would by and invest that much in to a G20, why not a 22..Interested in your thoughts. Love your stuff..stay safe.
Great video. Im in sunny San Diego, so it’s cool to know you’re just up the road in John Wayne. I’ve flown into that airport a couple of times and it’s definitely a hectic airport. If you do a giveaway, I’m definitely entering that drawing! 😊. Great video, once again!

Cool Story
Cool story bro
Crazy I’m a A&P and a IA as well and I’m literally uprooting everything in four weeks to go to Pilot school flying 3-4 days a week. I never seen your videos and it’s just popped up. I think it’s kinda crazy lol
Great man! You’ll be the top pick when it comes to hiring!
Fun video! Can’t wait to see what it looks like when you are done. How about a metallic dark blue for color?
I'm subscribed to both. I want those headphones for school.
Yea.....let me know what you've got in mind for those GNS 430's.
How much are we talking for the arrow
Love the videos. Does the air conditioner not work in the plane?
Small planes don’t have AC :(
Just keep the arrow and start a club for cheap.
It was my pleasure to help with this sale! Let me know if you want to buy another one!
Thanks John! Was a pleasure working with you.
I was curious how he bought a plane?
Love that plane! I flew N160CP across and around the United States with myself and my Grandpa the Summer of 2022.
Great vid! My son started training me in an SR20. Fun plane, but he’s transitioning to the airlines now. New instructor and I are now in a C150, but who’s complaining? Just happy to be flying and accomplishing a life long dream! Thanks for the moto!!

Best non turbine planes on the planet
And someday, when I’m insurable in a turbine…
Kind of shocked at how annoying you found flying VFR to be. ;)
Hahah it’s scary
Love the channel ❤️
The only problem with those
Cirrus aircraft is every 10years that parachute has to be repacked about $20,000
❤😂
It’s not that expensive if u get a g2…. And it’s something you plan for just like an engine overhaul. Set aside 120/mo and it’s covered ;-)
If you can afford to buy the plane you won’t have a problem with paying 20k in 10YEARS. A full TEN YEARS. Totally worth it
Hey I'd be very interested in the Archer. Located in the Atlanta area, in the process of getting my PPL, looking to purchase a plane in the next month or two. Would love to get a message about the Archer. Might work out great. Thanks
My brother is the head Gulfstream avionics manager in Dallas
That plane does have A/C Just FYI ❤
Nope

Just a heads up, you’ll need the DFC90 as well as the IFDs if you eventually want the vantage screens.

😊nbg no hi hi hi nnm pp0😊😊😅😊
P😅😊
Is there any issue transiting between a standard yoke and a joystick?
Not at all!
Holy shit that’s my favorite plane I saw it sold I took my first solo in that plane and my checkride. I’ll watch the video now but truly it’s a great plane.
I'm looking to buy my first plane. Piper Arrow?
Would you go into the costs of the upgrades? Paint, interior, avionics, etc?
Subscribe so you don’t miss it
My favorite AV TH-camr. Flying with the F/M hat! That’s my kinda homie!
Pew pew… don’t run on my my rolls 😁
" Oh my gosh, this is so scary", lol! Coming from a Gulfstream pilot. I just found this funny.
Loved this series man. I’m looking forward to starting my PPL soon!
Cirrus' are great and all but don't forget about us Columbia 400 people lol
The Columbia Cabin is too small for me. I’ve flown a couple. Unfortunately for me ergonomic are 🔑
SNA GA flying can bring out the nerves. I am lucky to have done my training there and work out for old Atlantic before ACI south was a thing. Good stuff Tommy!
You know it’s a good single engine when you aren’t scared of flying it!
I’m scared of all of them
@@gear_down 😂 just what I need to hear when I’m about to embark of a journey of purely single engine planes for at least 1 yr
Color scheme Gray like the jet with a Hint of Secret Squirrel Highlites. 😅😅
Where/When will you post the Arrow for sale?
Love your videos man! Always so real and no BS kinda dude. Excited to see what you do with the new project!
Love my 01’ SR22 Gen1. Runs smooth as hell.. new engine new prop new paint. 2 GTN650s DFC90 AP normally aspirated. Take my girl all over the fuckin place in it S/N 100

That plane is so much nicer than mine as is. I would keep it and love it forever
I’m a certified pilot and flight attendant, do you have work for me as a flight attendant @geardown
Unfortunately not at this time
Love the video, particularly all the behind-the-scenes exchanges with the title company.
Except you go to the shop and you are charged 300 USD to reconnect 2 cables they disconnected in the first place… but they avoid to tell you that was the issue.

Are you driving a Maybach??? Or a Rolls? I don’t fly, I want to more than anything in the world………Want to teach me???
Awesome! Thank you for your videos! Best from Germany, Stefan
I really wish I could afford to buy the Arrow. Sadly I'm poor at the moment. Just had to replace my HVAC and roof on my house.
ATP pilot, A&P, look's like your working hard in life.
My dad had a crushed ankle in his 70's. Several surgeries and a fused together bone made it tough for him to go from a parking lot to the back of a store without stopping to sit down.

Permanent disability from a car accident a few years ago. Sorry about ur dad. Cheers
Have you already sold your Piper Arrow? If you have not, would you please shoot me the specs on that plane. Thank you.
Man, been watching for a while. I am 47, retired military. I started flying back in the end of Jan. 20 hours of training so far and really love flying. I don't know if I will make it a career, but seeing what you do definitely inspires me to give it a shot.
love to see it. but is the new plane smaller than the arrow? not to familiar with either
No much more roomy and ergonomic inside
I need to get my license, it’s expensive though 😢 it’s my dream to fly where I want, when I want
PICNIC (Problem In Chair Not In Cirrus).... enjoyed the self-roast, LOL
😂😂😂
😅😂🥹😂
Where can I find your Arrow for sale?
It’ll be up on barnstormers soon
Awesome video! I’d say do like a dope metallic gray paint scheme. Love the new purchase! 🤙🏽🤙🏽 Let’s hit that fiddy k! 💪🏽
Awesome Cirrus deal! I wish i was in a place to make an offer on the Arrow! Keep the vids coming. 😊
LInk for the headset hangar?!?!?!
No link. Google search is your friend for this one
A lot of head in cockpit time for a VFR flight in SOCAL airspace.
Wow, nice plane, congratulations!
I might be interested buying the arrow, how can i contact you?
The SR20 will go faster
Yup
I know a good Cirrus certified instructor in Scottsdale if you're interested.
I really appreciate this video. Grounded with vertigo! 😢

Awesome video Thomas! Are you keeping this one or selling it? Do you ever fly into APA? That's where I train out of.
Keeping it, we hit APA for fuel on the way to osh usually
How much you looking for the Arrow?
stunning! and amazing to watch. please pm about your piper
Any chance I can get some info on the piper arrow you're trying to sell?
Good luck with it, can’t wait to see it when it’s all done! Hopefully my gear bag was in the recent orders you shipped, really looking forward to getting it!
Sounds like your right door is not closed all the way. I know that whistle too well

I'm two weeks late but I'm interested in the Piper Arrow.
Watsup with the Handicap placard in your RR? lol
Congrats on the Cirrus. Have you sold the Archer?
You are not the only TH-cam creator that frequently uses the phrase "you guys" - I'm wondering why ? Is your intended audience only males ? Do you address your Mother as "Sir" ? Why don't you use "you" instead of "you guys" ?
It’s a figure of speech. Period.

Parachute Boys 😜
And another $20,000 for a parachute. ($2000 a year fixed cost for something you will likely never use)
$12,000
My dream aircraft.. 🤞I will be able to own one one day
I just got a g6 sr20, hour building then getting typed in a gulf stream hope to fly w you someday!
Sick man that would be fun!
Where do you have your Arrow listed ..?
Not listed yet
Let me see if I can bring you a buyer before you list it
Came on to see when your last video was posted and BOOOOM here it was. She looks good, bit bumpy 🤙
Thank you!
Very cool project. So now why did you buy something you never have time to fly😂? After turbines those pistons are a little disappointing. Lol
My thoughts exactly
@@gear_down 😂😂😂 Content baby!!
How much are you selling the Arrow for?
I’ll take the arrow 90k sound good?
Watching you get behind the plane made me feel a lot better about my flying 😂 can really happen to anyone
Definitely, it’s not a good feeling
Looked like the left aileron gap seal is missing? If so, thats a no fly issue. Maybe it was just the camera angle but it looked like its not there
Camera angle
@gear_down since it's getting painted it really wouldn't matter anyway since they would get replaced
Worst pilot ever… Jokes jokes lol
I feel like painted black with green accents would be dope, match the gear down branding. But would be hot afffff. Or some sort of checkerboard design. Some real skater dirtbag grew up and got rich vibe hahaha
Lemme get those A30s bro!!
what a bunch of BS to fly this bird!!!
Next step vision jet? Love the plane, and am pretty jealous of you!
Hah don’t be this is all easily financeable. This plane was cheap, I’ve already got a jet that out performs the vision by a LOT with the exception of fuel burn

Not on Instagram for the Bose A30s. But nice that you are helping to get certs. On one of your Videos you helped out a student pilot, And gave him cash for a lesson. That was awesome
!!
I am a former C.A.P. Cadet, that got the bug in 1979. Thank you for your videos. They have been still encouraging me to finish off my Certification for private pilot. Turning 58 June 1st.
Still working on it !! Keep producing these Videos.
Thank you
PS how much are you selling your Piper PA28A?
I waited too long for this video it was very fun, maybe a gray color like the citation would be great..!!! Thanks Tommy
Thanks for the idea!
Yes, because it could be a badge for your fleet if you plan to leave it for yourself.
I’d never fly VFR in that airspace…too hectic, though not as bad as around Teterboro. Flying for the fractionals I learned to hate VFR.
Any ETA on merch shipping out soon? I know you’re a busy guy but it’s been two months now. My tracking number has said “label created” for the past month. Really looking forward to putting the new flight bag to use
Can you put the larger engine in it? Thx
I had a Cessna Skylane that had a front landing and taxi light on the front cowling. Every time my mechanic pulled the cowling he would forget to plug back in the light connection. Been there and done that one.
Not looking at buying but interested about the aero. I’m passively looking for a plane I’d like to own one someday. Get into the industry. Photos and information would be cool just to get an idea!!!
