And I will LOVE to add that if you listen to "The Stage" Album a bit LOUD and with Earbuds... NOT Headphones, it's really a different experience. And if you try your best just to hear the Drum Set(s)... It's amazing!!.
Pink Floyds version is obviously 100% better, but I love that A7X created sort of their own version respecting the original version and not just copy and paste it. pink floyds simplicity to the song is what makes it. avenged sevenfolds complicity is what makes it avenged sevenfold.

I've listened to both. A7X you can hear the metal in the song, Pink Floyd it feels like something you would hear in a coffee shop. Both though are great songs.
The Stage and those covers put A7x on another level of songwriting. I hope they keep trying to be experimental and conceptual. Edit: When you cover a song you have to apply your own style to it, you adapt, you change and experiment over the original piece. So yeah, it's an experimentation and a different kind of songwriting. You're rewriting, remixing.
