Cannot wait for this year, it’s going to be amazing. All we can do is pray for nice weather so we can all get out and ride !!
Another good video Russ, fork rebuilds are one job I've never done so handy to see how it works
Got a K2 direct from them at the Mammoth Parts fair in March and they are an excellent tool. Great vid
That fork holding tool looks good. Better than holding them just in a vice 👍
I've got one of their engine frames. It makes everything easier .
By the way I've put my nick name on my comments now instead of Paul Mckinlay. 👍
I used to hate building forks. That tool has just made the job so easy. You can swap out links without removing forks from scoot. Took me about 20 mins all in to swap drum links out for disc links . Superb bit of kit.
@@paulmckinlay1719 I’ve got the engine stand as well, JB fabrication does do some quality stuff
First time I've seen that done and makes such a difference than just trying to do it from Sticky's !
Those links sure came out easy! Not like mine where one of the links was well seized into the fork leg
Suppose rain is better than snow 😉
Russ, what grease do you use when you rebuild the forks? Craig
I’m using Castrol heavy duty grease, classicoilsshop.co.uk/high-temp-grease
Well done girls, can we have a bit of linx Africa (toto) lol when do you need to re-grease or change anything on a road going Lammy forks ?Compression tool was originally done by taffspeed, remade by steel weasel and copied and reproduced by K2 lol well done (KN)
@@shedtune81 The next eating challenge is Doughnuts 🍩 lol do you require a jam filling (raspberry or strawberry) custard or chocolate filling or chocolate covered, the choice is yours!!
@@stevebgp200 Jam sounds good, contrary to popular belief this body isn’t into chocolate deserts 😂😂
Quick question, what do you do if the fork links are not level ?as nothing is adjustable
You have to mess about with the internal buffers and shave them so that the lick are level. It’s a pain in the arse job but once done it’s worth it.
Sounds like a massive ball ache ,ive changed fork springs from mb progressive to camlam progressive then back to standard as progressive were making the front end bounce all over the road, each time i changed sptings didnt take much notice of links being level just put it all back together and rode it.Goes in straight line with my hands off the bars so luckily must be ok.Were are you based BTW?
Just standard scootopia dampers at the moment, planning to get some bgm f16s
haha you had me going on the dry build with the damper pin on the inside 🙃🙃🙃
lol.... gotta keep people on their toes.
