You always know Clint is going to provide some priceless entertainment! Thumbs up for the content and if I could an extra thumbs up for the Pizza Box. Good on you for your honesty Legend!
Hey mate I had the same worries as you regarding my tiftuf looking shit even after putting my all into it. I gave mine a heavy scalp and put down seasol every 3 - 4 weeks with a light fertiliser when needed, mow once a week and it come back awesome.
Less is definitely more with Tiftuf. I’ve got mine currently at 8mm, and it’s the best it’s ever looked. I do liquid apps once a month, half dose applications of granular fert not that often. Really only water it when it’s dried out and looking like it needs a water, or when apply products. I think the key is getting regular apps of PGR down. That’s made all the difference on mine. The colour has improved, seedhead near non existent. Extremely dense canopy. Persistence and you’ll get it looking right 👌
Did you start the mower with the clutch engaged? You should be starting it with the clutch not engaged, then ease it on slowly, and disengage it again when not mowing. Will be much better on all the parts and engine 👍🏻
Cutting lawn short requires, lots of fert, lots of water and lots of mowing, 20mm would be the sweet spot unless you can find the time to really baby the lawn.
I don't think there's an amount of fertiliser and water that can keep up how low I mow. I stupidly mowed low again a week ago. Now it's time to raise the HOC slowly.

Maybe some shade tolerant zoysia would go well down the side area
I can't give up on the Tif. Time for some UV lights I think.
@@thelawnhub maybe setup a heap of mirrors to capture some different angles
Of sunlight I’m talking
😆
🍻
Maybe you should try some lawnporn products on your lawn to see if they make a difference
