    I've been a neck knife guy for a long time, always thought about the risks of choking on my lanyard but never did anything about it. I'm going to set up all my neck knives this way. Thanks for the tip!

      Thank you Brady and I hope this method will serve you well! Chances are slim that it would ever happen but I guess it is always good to play it safe as well. Thank you for tuning in and commenting!

    Great job Sir! Easy to handle the fire starter for daily use and also the idea with the second hole in the leather strap to carry the system safe for all bushcraft activities.

    There are some clever ideas that as you said yourself, can be adapted and applied to other knives and sheaths with various small items that amount to inexpensive bits and pieces.
    I myself am partial to those little plastic cord locks which serve the same function as the little leather tab.

    • @blackhatbushcraft
      @blackhatbushcraft  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree with the cord lock. I have used that many times as well. I really appreciate you taking the time to tune in and comment my friend!

    Great stuff Brother! Another hack on the Eldris is if you have larger hands and the handle is too short, you can flip the knife backwards in the sheath and it extends the length a bit.

    Nice vid. I like to put an arm through for neck carry and have the knife hang off to the side and it if it does get hung up your throat/windpipe won’t take any damage.

    Excellent re-use of the leather tag. I think Mora would definitely approve! Now you need to show us how you use your Eldris. I reckon with your carving skills you could turn out some serious spoons. Hope you and your family had a good Easter. God bless.
