  • Trick to make your Mora Eldris neck knife, easier to handle. This great little neck knife is small but robust, useful in many bushcraft, tactical and urban survival situations.
    Great for all edc applications, I highly recommend it!! Mora always makes the highest quality knives for a reasonable price.

    I know this video is 5 years old. I’ve been watching videos on the Eldris for over a year now, and you are the first person I’ve seen that has mentioned putting the handle into the sheath.
    I figured it out after I got my first Eldris, and now I have one in almost all my kits.

    Do not buy one of these if you own a expensive knife!
    You will kick yourself when the expensive knives sit in the draw as you will only use this cheap knife!
    Great knife 👍

    Mora Eldris is a another beautiful product of my beloved country. Have about five of them to suite all of our needs when out in the wilds.

      My usual knife when out is the Mora Garberg. But for smaller tasks I really enjoy the Eldris. They are all actually made for the military (therefore the 90 back) and when I was in the military back in the 90's we were all issued a Mora Classic 2. Together with the Trangia (you pronounce it with a hard G) your set.

    Excellent informative video. I’m a big fan of the Mora Eldris. Simple, but very useful. I had no idea that it could be reversed in the sheath. Never thought of it. Silly me. Thank you very much.

    I used 550 cord, 1" Gorilla tape and a ranger band to ensure a handle up carry. Much more secure. I also used enough cord to carry it high baldric fashion. Much safer than around your neck. Also gives me much more cord to use in an emergency.

    The best tips are ones that you smack your forehead and think.. that was so simple.. Worried the eldris wouldn't give enough purchase in the hand, or if the sheath could attach with out too many mods. Good to know I've got the option. Thanks brother. She's in the cart for my Chest/Vest mount, Deep bush, surveyor vest for quick access. Won't scare land owners when I run into them either. Thanks again.

    2:40 I had the same type of lanyard and one day I lost it , and saw how it slowly sank into the bottom of the river 😫😭
    So my advice for your next buy - tie the lanyard to the hole in the knife handle, not the hole in the dagger.

But I go onto your channel and your showing a firesteel that u say is needed in the woods? Im confused. And You also tell me I have no idea. But you’re doing videos in your living room and I’m doing him out in the woods. I have taught survival skills in California in the mountains of the sierra Nevada’s for years. Have you done the same? It cracks me up that keyboard commandos can come on my channel and leave lame ass comments about the shit that I post but at the same time they are complete hypocrites. Thanks for the view. I find it very funny you were your fire steel 24x7. You you can get choked by a lanyard o
    I makes more sense to have a breakaway lanyard then a fire steel around your neck.

    • @OutlawEdge
      @OutlawEdge  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Adventures with Frodo that is a breakaway lanyard if u pay attention to my other videos. If my lanyard gets caught up on something it will pop the lanyard right off my neck. Where i live it gets down to 65 below zero at times. Im in the woods for days at times. So that firesteel is a lifesaver. A typical cigarette lighter will never work in those conditions. It freezes up. Thanks for watching
